In order to make your FP+ reservations do you have to have your park tickets already purchased? Or what if you purchase your tickets when you arrive for your stay will there be FP+ Available?

To book FP+ reservations, you must have valid tickets linked to your My Disney Experience account. Because the system is just being rolled out to everyone, it's hard to say what availability you'll find if you wait until your arrival to buy tickets/book FP+. But you should be able to find something to book, it may not be the exact times you want, but it won't be completely sold out of everything.

Thank you. I guess I will purchase tickets prior to my arrival just to be safe...

I know on mine it said your reservation had to be linked in order to do FP+. I had tickets attached so I didn't think about it much, but like everyone has said, I think you would need to have park tickets on your reservation.

I did my FP+ this morning and I was lucky. I got everything I wanted at pretty good times. Only one thing might conflict a little with a ADR, if we take a lot of time at Crystal Palace. It did give me 3-4 options on times, which I liked. Of course there were a couple that I would have liked to have done in Tier 1, but it only let you have one in Tier 1 and then 2 in Tier 2. I did find out also, if you only want 2 reservations to a park, they will throw in a 3rd one without you picking it. At Animal Kingdom because of our schedule I only wanted the Safari and the Meet the Characters, and it kept putting Expedition Everest on my list. I am going with young kids and my Mom, so we won't ride Everest, so I ended up picking Finding Nemo. I don't know if I had an option to only pick 2 and just didn't realize it, but we'll go to Nemo so it works out. :)

Hmmmmm.....I'm a DVC member and just called yesterday about Magic Bands and FP+, park tickets, etc. I had many questions and I'm just not getting it. Anyway, she said I could go to MDE anytime and register AND get Magic Band. Also that FP+ and tickets had to be done beginning 60 days out, she gave me my date in Feb for we are going in April. I'm calling right now, DVC, there's a 30 minute wait. I will check back. Now I'm confused...again.

I'm DVC also. You need to go to MDE register or sign in. Then link your DVC reservation to your MDE account. Once that is done you pick and design your magic bands for each member of your party. You then link your park tickets ( APs or regular tickets) to the magic bands. All of this can be done any time PRIOR to your 60 day FP+ reservation date. If it's all done prior to the date, then you can sign in first thing on the 60 day mark and pick your FP+ times. If you wait until the 60 day mark or longer to link everything it will delay when you can pick your FP+ times. You can not pick FP+ with out tickets linked to magic bands. Hope that helps clear the confusion.

If someone in your group does not have a ticket yet, can you select FP+ for those that do have a ticket linked?
