FP+ question - not using one persons?

We have a party of 5 - surprise trip - and I am not sure my DS8 will ride Rockin Roller Coaster. I have made a FP for all 5 of us, but what if he doesn't ride. Will that keep us from getting an additional FP later in the day?

Nope, it will just "expire" at the end of its Return Window and no harm done.
(Another member of your party could borrow your DS's MB and use it to ride RnRC again, if desired.)
