FP+ Only Character Greetings

So I think this has been brought up already but I was curious to get everyone's reactions to Disney's possible move of offering character greetings reserved just for those with a FP+ (no standby available). So far, I've heard it's just Winnie-the-Pooh they're considering but there's also talk of a Minnie FP+ greeting at DHS. Is this a good idea? Would you choose Minnie as a Tier One at DHS over TSM! or RnR? I don't like the idea at all. Thoughts?

Hate it!! Every attraction should have stand by..we love seeing a character and waiting..ruins it

I think it's stupid & mean. Can you imagine a small child's reaction when they see their favorite character & are told NO, they can't go wait in line to meet him or her? Can't you hear the screaming & crying from the child, the fustration from the parent, who more than likely wasn't aware Disney decide to not even let people wait in stand by? It's a horrible idea.

Disney needs to rethink this one. What is the point of them doing this? I could see them doing this with A&E, but only if you could get it in addition to the 3 you can pre-book.

I just read on another site that the FP+ for Pooh/Tigger at Epcot, Daisy/Donald at AK and Minnie Mouse at DHs has been discontinued.

I have checked for these FP+ choices on MDE and they are not here.

This popped up a day or two ago and it would appear has already been reversed. Options appeared at multiple points on the Disney sites and have since disappeared again. I still have my thoughts about it in my priority list.

This was my first thought as well.

Just my two cents, if the suits want to fastpass+ some character meet and greets, why not do it with rare characters?

IMO, the suits need to be assigned a couple of toddlers apiece and forced to walk them by several FP+ only character greets.

And use your idea at Magic Kingdom to pull people away from the Anna/Elsa FP+

Ditto. I'd have to rethink our plans if there was a FP for say all the 7 dwarfs or a FP for Maleficent (or other villians).

Both of these could be tied in with the new ride or the movie coming out...
