My teenage daughter loves Tangled and came up with a plan to get Rapunzel to sign a FP (Frying Pan) when we are at the MK next week. I'm wondering if she will be allowed to take a metal FP into the parks. It seems like I've read you are not allowed to take metal beverage containers into the park (for whatever reason) so I wonder if something as potentially lethal as a small frying pan would also be banned.

No idea on the frying pan, but DH and I took our aluminum water bottles into the parks in February with no problems.

No restrictions on metal objects (unless they are knives.) ;)

If you consider a frying pan "lethal,"
what about someone driving a powered scooter, pushing a loaded double stroller, or swinging a heavy camera
around on the end of a strap?

Frying pans.

Who knew?

;)

I saw a little girl (around 7) in full Rapunzel dress and carrying a frying pan at MK about 2 weeks ago. I think it should be Ok.

If you don't want to carry around a full size one I received one at my wedding shower that is the size to cook one egg. I bet you could find it in bed bath and beyond or target.

That is the cutest thing ever! What imagination to think of the frying pan!

I would worry more about who is going to get stuck carrying it around the rest of the day! :rotfl2:

You're kidding (at least half-kidding) but since Rapunzel has moved
to her new location in MK's Town Square (see map #16,) that offers a great alternative to
carrying the pan (or other objects) into the park that day.

The LOCKERS are right there, next to the Train Station (see map #8)
So after signing, you could take the pan (and whatever else) to put
in a locker until you where ready to exit the park.

Having Rapunzel sign would be grand....... but I wonder if you went to guest relations if they might find a way to get Flynn to sign it for her backstage while you tour the parks that day????? :rolleyes1 I guess you could always ask nicely..... and they could always say no.........And see.... that might save you the locker rental fee........:cool2:

I actually thought about bringing a small one just for some fun interaction when we met Flynn at the Christmas party but in the end forgot to pack it.

You can get a tiny cast iron frying pan. I'm talking like 2-3 INCHES. That would be a cute thing to hang on a wall and much lighter to lug around the parks.

I've seen the tiny pans at Burkes Outlet and I believe they were less than $5.

I think you'll be fine. Not many people think of frying pans as weapons outside of Rapunzel, Flynn, and Ralphie Cifaretto.

We already made it clear she's carrying it! We were planning on getting a 3" pan due to weight, but Robo's idea of using the lockers may change that. She wants something to hang on her wall. I also like the idea of trying to get Flynn's autograph.

I've had good luck getting character help in the past. I proposed to my wife in Cinderella Castle. I got Cindy to approach her with a glass slipper I had purchased at DTD and specially engraved with "A perfect fit". Cindy was great. She told my then fiancee that her fairy godmother had asked her to give the slipper to my fiancee. It was great!

Yes she can! A friend of mine went to MNSSHP as Rapunzel and got her (and Flynn) to sign a frying pan, so it's totally doable :)

The pan in question (she painted it herself, sorry about the size):

Oh my God, I'm slow!:rotfl: We saw a little girl carrying a small frying pan when we were there in Feb and thought what the heck. We couldn't figure out why her parents would let her drag a frying pan to WDW and then into the park. We laughed about it all week. We didn't even think about Tangled. Duh!
