I just got off the phone with technical and guest services and am so upset!!

My two boys and I (single mom) are heading to the World for Mother's Day, which happens to be right between their birthdays (one will be 16 and one will be 19 and going away to college in the fall). We scraped the money together to spend some time together where I absolutely love to go! I called on Friday and paid off our room, then on Saturday went on MDE so we can get excited about our schedule- well no fast passes were there even though I stayed up until midnight on my 60 day mark to be sure we got what we wanted and had checked them before and they were there. I thought it was just a glitch and didn't think too much of it. When I checked again today, they still weren't there,so I called tech support. They saw our room reservation and dining reservation but couldn't find our tickets. When they dug a little deeper they did find all of our APs and were able to relink those but told us we could try again later to get our fast passes.

I can't believe our trip is less than 2 weeks away and I have no fast passes even though I waited until midnight to make them. I am so upset right now- I have to wait until I get an email from tech that they are done on their end and I can try for fast passes. I can only hope I get something close to what we wanted! I was trying to be positive about this new FP+ and MDE after reading these boards, but now I am with those who hate this new system!
 
Sorry you're one of the unlucky ones who has to deal with that kind of stuff.

If you can't get what you want or close to it for FP+, maybe call and see what they can do for you. It's not your fault their system wasn't letting you make them.
 
Their computer system always works awfully for me just trying to book hotels. That's why I'm having major anxiety about this new system. I don't trust them at all to make something work!!

I can see how this would be completely frustrating. My honest suggestion would be to hold off on getting super upset until you can actually check for fastpasses. There's usually a TON of availability for most things, even the week of. Granted, there's the A&E nonsense, but I'm guessing that you should be able to get most (if not all) of what you originally wanted. Some of the passes may be at different times, but you'll hopefully (and probably) be able to make it work! :thumbsup2
 
yes do try and see what happens. I just made mine for the week of 5-15 and had no problems. So sorry this happened to you. I know how frustrated you must be. :confused3
 
Don't wait until you get an email saying it's fixed...you might not get one! I called to have a minor problem solved and was told they would send an email....3 weeks later, no email or fix. Call every day until you can get someone to help you!!
 
I'm sorry that happened to you - I would be really frustrated too! I'm thinking that you should be ok getting new fastpasses, though, with the exception of Anna and Elsa if you had wanted to see them. We're going in two weeks, and I have played around a lot with my fastpasses over the past several days, and there has been a ton of availability for all of them.

If you cant get want you need call back and let them know. You might be gifted with some freebie paper ones good for anywhere.
 
I had a problem with cell service in some areas in the park so I had a problem logging into My Disney experience. Thank goodness I asked the front desk to print my schedule for the activities (dining,fastpass+). The magic bands was a nightmare...I spent more time in guest relations fixing the problem of charging...bring credit card and ID just in case the band does not work.
 
Nobody should ever have to contact the IT department to go on vacation. End of story.
 
I am so sorry that this happened to you and your family. Sending pixie dust your way that it all works out!
 
Don't lose faith. I managed to get FPs two days before Easter Sunday. I was traveling with a "day guest" and first visit. I managed to get ADR at the Plaza and all fastpasses. It can be done. Have faith :)
 
That stinks but it will be ok. Once you are able to make selections I'm sure you will be able to get really close to what you wanted. Keep on em. Don't wait for emails. If it's not there soon stay on them till they get it straight.
 
OP, you sound like you are having my kind of luck.

I hope everything works out. Don't let it ruin your trip with your boys. I hope you guys have a wonderful time together. :hug:
 
Major bummer. Be sure to stay on them and express your displeasure with the situation. I hope they make it up to you! But try not to be too upset, you will very likely be able to get close to the fp's you're looking for. Pixiedust :)
 
I'm sorry it's been frustrating for you. We don't usually pick our FP until a week or 2 before we go and have gotten everything we want. Actually yesterday we picked our FP for next weekend and there was availability for everything except Anna & Elsa M&G. I hope you're still able to get everything :)

Ditto!!!! For something that is "supposed" to make your vacation so much easier, it seems like an awful lot of work and frustration for too many! So sorry for your situation, and I truly hope you can get AND KEEP another set of FP+ that you want! ::yes::
