FP+ limit reached question

Got two trips scheduled later Jan and mid Feb. On the last two days of my Feb trip I'm getting a message indicating 3 of us in a party of 7 will be removed from FP+ party. Detailed info reveals my FP+ limit is reached.

I saw in previous discussions about a 7 day limit within a months timeframe for AP holders.

3 of us are PAP holders, the three of us have a trip 1/25 - 1/30. Onsite reservations and FP+s already selected.

The 2nd trip is 2/13 - 2/17. The 3 of us are staying onsite with 4 others. Now selecting FP+s. FP+ selection all OK until we get to the 2/16. I can schedule FP+s for the 4 other folks but not for the 3 of us.

Two trips within a month both onsite stays but am I still limited to 7 days of FP+ because I'm an AP holder? Doesn't make sense??

Is this correct? Why the limit??

Since you are staying on site you shouldn't have any issues. I would call Disney IT and see what they say. The online FAQ says for onsite stays you are suppose to be able to book 60 days in advance for length of stay. Are you on the reservations and everything for the rooms?

Yes I booked rooms for both trips we all are on the room reservations & dining reservations. We are on all FP+ selections except for those last two days. I will call later to fix.

expect to be on hold for a while, Usually anywhere from 10-40 mins. Rarely they have no wait time, but when you call make sure you say "MAGIC BANDS" or INTERNET HELP DESK that will get you over there instead of the reservation line. Sorry i dont have their direct number handy

I have a similar, but different question.

I'm booking for my parents who are both APs. In January, they are staying on-site for 8 days. I successfully made FP+s for all 8 days.

Now, they want to go down 2 days early and stay off-site. When I try to make FP+ reservations for them, I receive the same message as OP. (And, just playing around, I also receive that message if I try to make FP+ for today.)

Is the system intended to prevent this? Or should I call to see if it can be fixed/changed?

It's a pain you have to call at all, but I've found them very helpful, friendly & fast.

Same thing happened to me and our APs. Yes, the system currently prevents this.
I understand WDW doesn't want AP holders to have FP+s everyday, or some other definition of "overuse;" but I hope the possibility of arriving a bit early and staying off-site is a currently unintentional consequence of the rules. If it were me (although nobody asked) I would not count on-site stay FP+s against the FP+ limits on APs. Additionally, I would consider resetting the limit clock on certain dates or at certain intervals. Again, I understand that if AP holders had no limits, there could be (even more) FP+ availability issues; but I think there are discouraging and unintended consequences of the current FP+ limit policy on AP holders. :sad2:

After about 2 hours on the phone speaking to 4 different CMs I got my answer. I'm SOL.

What I learned: PAP holders are limited to 7 days of prescheculed FP+s within the 30 day window. If you are staying onsite you get extended to "length of Stay" which really means limited to 10 days for pre-scheduling FP+s. In my case because I have two seperate trips that occur within a month of each other I get bumped back down to 7 day limit because my trips are not one consecutive stay. So in a 60 day period PAP holder staying onsite for 11 nights is limited to 7 days prescheduling FP+s??? Really??? Doesn't make sense!!

I had to delete the day of arrival FP+s in order to add the full scheduled days worth of FP+ so I can ride with my guest for that last stay??? I know deleting the day of arrival FP+s is not the end of the world! But really??

Is it me or is this a little ridiculous?
