I am wondering about the stand by line for HM, some of the ride cues have lots of fun things to see and do... Is the HM one of those rides? Do you miss anything by using a fast pass?
Yes they added fun interactive things to the stand by line last year I believe. A fountain sneezes on you, there are tomb looking things that you touch the walls and they do things. Very interactive and worth walking through at least once.
Sorry to hijack this post...but have a clarification. I got a FP for my DS and I for Haunted Mansion. Is this one that is better to do standby? I assumed it would be the same minus the wait. Is the wait ok for it (Oct trip)?
Also...we just told our kids about our upcoming trip who are super excited, but DS said he doesn't even want to go in the Haunted Mansion (which is the one ride I want to ride)
As a previous poster indicated, they have added interactive elements to the standby queue that can be enjoyable. That said, I very much appreciated taking advantage of fast pass for HM while at WDW one week ago. With the standby line timing well over 30 minutes, the fast pass queue offered a short walk to the entrance foyer, which was very welcome on a hot August afternoon!
If you've got time and weather on your side, enjoy the standby queue, and save your fast pass for something else.
