has anyone had problems arriving about 5-10 minutes after your window. is the 15 min grace period honored on a consistent basis or is it hit or miss depending on CM
Word of warning, do not attempt to use the FP grace period if you have any type of Anytime FP, be it one issued by GS or one issued due to the ride being out during your assigned FP time. If you do, the system will use your Anytime FP instead of the assigned FP.
I know this wasn't mentioned but, seeing how a grace period was being discussed it's always good to remind about the anytime FP and grace period issue.
Really? We had an anytime FP and were within the grace period at an attraction we had a FP+ for and didn't have an issue.Word of warning, do not attempt to use the FP grace period if you have any type of Anytime FP, be it one issued by GS or one issued due to the ride being out during your assigned FP time. Confused by this comment since this is when it is supposed to use the anytime FPI don't think that using it inside of the grace period would pull an anytime....that would happen though if you accidentally were outside of the grace period. We've used the early 5 minutes while having anytime FP's and it has never pulled the anytime.

You are correct, which is what an anytime FP is supposed to do but in most people's experience, it will also use the anytime if you scan in at 5 min before. It did mine and a quick search you will find it has in many, many other cases. What I'm saying is that if I were planning to use the 5 minute grace period at the beginning (like we normally do) but accidentally tapped at 6 minutes, it would pull the anytime, not the FP that I was trying to use.
If you notice that happened, simply go back to the CM and ask them to fix it, this can actually happen even if you are within your return window, so best to always double check. You are correct, which is what an anytime FP is supposed to do but in most people's experience, it will also use the anytime if you scan in at 5 min before. i think it depends on the CM. I have been let in a couple minutes early on Soarin and Living with the land - one in Dec and one in Feb.The mickey light stays green for 5 minutes before and 15 minutes after your time. As PP said, even 1 minute outside those parameters the CM won’t usually let you through unless you have a good excuse. I’ve been 6 minutes early and had to wait one minute to tap

Count me in as number 3. I’ve never used an anytime fp by scanning in on another fp when I’ve scanned in either early or late within the grace period. I’ve never heard it discussed as an issue before either. I’m sure it could happen though.Y'all are like the only 2 who haven't had that happen. I have personally had it happen many times by not being more careful when scanning in. It's a very well reported issue. Possibly hit or miss but I can say it CAN happen without question.
