FP from DVC tour: worth it?

Just a Copper Creek 2 BR. When we toured there, we instantly told our guide "eh, no. We like the place enough but are drawn to only BLT." He then sort of tried to push Poly to us, but was happy to go BLT once we said we were only interested there. Perhaps if I had shown more interest in CCV, he would have shown us around.
It's worth noting that this tour/ sales pitch was about 9 days before CCV was open for business, so perhaps they were trying to show off their shiny new product while it was still not impeding on anybody's DVC stays.

They only want to sell "live" properties, ones that haven't yet sold out. That's where they make their money. At that time, Poly hadn't sold out so that and CCV would be what they're pushing.

Seems the FP they offer are the same ones that can be made as 4th FP on same day. And, I've looked at our typical Disney budget and for a family of 4, we spend about $1000 per day. For a typical 16 hour day, that's $62/hour. I would need more than $100 if I am going to give up 2 hours of vacation or I'm losing money.

True, but they are anytime use throughout your trip. So if you wanted to go around again on splash mountain, for instance, you could use one right there immediately. The 4th FP is based on what's available at what time.

Last year I went to the presentation at epcot where they give you the fastpasses. It was 30 to 60 minutes long, can't remember for sure. I was more than happy to listen to them as I could use the AC break. My travel companion was at a character meal but they gave her the fastpasses also (I had one of her spare magic bands with me and they scanned it too). I got the giftcard on the one on one with the sales rep. I might be willing to do the presentation again this year to get more fast passes and take an AC break between food booths.

That the first I've heard. What other room tours did you see besides Copper Creek Villas while there?

We actually didn't see any rooms. We are already DVC owners but we are resale. We were exploring buying 75 points direct. I was originally told we would see the cabins but after the spiel, we decided we would pass on the tour and just go about our way.

ETA: our tour was this past June and we actually own at BRV at WL so that's where we signed up for the tour.
