FP for Playhouse Disney?

I just received my new WDW Passporter to add to my obsessive collection of planning books.

It states that there is a fast pass for Playhouse Disney? Is this true? I know that when we have went the past two years, it was standby only.

It also states that the line is under cover. I remember standing out in the sun.

Any comments are appreciated. Thank you.

Only the first part of the line is covered, the majority of the line is out in the open.

We were just there 3 weeks ago, and there was no fastpass. I read that they were trying fastpass for Playhouse Disney during Easter, but it definitely was not there the last weekend in April. They really need it, though!

Fastpass was available last Thanksgiving weekend.

As stated above...

Most of the line is uncovered and there is no fastpass. I think I read on some other forums that fast pass was tested at some point. But each time we've been there, there was no fast pass.

We were just there on Friday, no fastpass but even the uncovered areas are shaded by the neighboring bldgs.

I think it depends on what time of day you are there. We were waiting for the 11:30 AM show, and we were definitely in the sun for 15 minutes.

I agree, it depends on what time of day. In 2002, we were under the sun for over 1/2 hour waiting for the next show. In 2003, we skipped Playhouse Disney because we did not want to wait in the sun again. Unfortunately, in order to see the show, you had to wait in line.

We did wait in line but there were many families that showed up 10-15 mins. before the show and got in easily. I guess this has more to do with the time of year you visit.
