We are planning a May trip for 6 of us (myself, husband, my dad, and my 3 kids - ages 7, 5, and 1). I have purchased tickets for all of us who need them and linked them in MDE.

I am trying to get familiar with the FastPass system. When trying to book fast passes, it will not allow me to book for my 1 year old because he doesn't have a ticket linked. Are kids who don't require tickets not able to book fast passes, or am I doing something wrong? I double checked and his birthdate is correct in MDE.

Your one year old won't need a FP so you won't be able to book it. They just go along thru the FP line with the rest of you even without their own FP. You should familiarize yourself with rider swap and use that too!

Thanks! I wasn't sure how it worked. Him getting a magic band is what threw me off. So without fast passes, what is the point of Magic Bands for kids under 3?

Children under 3 do not need a ticket and do not need FP+.
They just go in the FP+ line with the rest of the party that has FP+ and they are permitted.

Some kids have been known to throw a tantrum if they can't wear the same bling as everyone else.
