I'm sure the answer is buried somewhere in these boards....we have a FP for Illuminations. Where is the FP spot? I'm thinking the bridge area between Britian and France? Thanks!

A. Where is the FP spot?
B. I'm thinking the bridge area between Britian and France?

A. Near #13-14 below.
B. Nope.

Actually the last several times we used it - it was located in all of 14 right back up to those planters. By the planters is a great spot because not only is no one behind you but that area slopes up so you are higher than all in front of you. For that reason most people stay seated. Or if you want to stand, you aren't blocking anyone's view.

Folks start lining up early for it.

On the nights when there is the "$parkling De$$ert Party" #14 is reserved for that.
Right now, that's only on specific nights of the week.

With the way things have been going lately (more, and more, and more "premium-priced events,")
I would not be surprised if they started selling the "$parkling De$$ert Party" every night.

Stay tuned.

We've been during those nights too and the party was set up by the East 13 building and going east towards Mexico. Line to enter is the east 13 building while FP entered at the West 13 building.

When we first did Illuninations FP is was in that green area, terrible setup for space and views since packed like sardines, so we didn't get again. When they moved it to 14 we started using it again and it was there in January.

So is it a bad idea to have a FP on a dessert party night? I didn't even think to look but our FP is for a party night. I'm not sure if I can change or not to our other Epcot night, which isn't a party night, but has a much higher crowd rating on TP crowd calendar.

Not a bad idea on those nights, specifically.
(An IllumiNations FP+ is just not "needed," in general.)
But, that's up to you.

Thanks. Wasn't sure. Not too worried. The FP was only there because we have a number of too-short people in our party and this was it for Tier One.

How early are you allowed to enter the FP area? Is it like the old Wishes area where you can enter whoever, or do you have to line up outside and wait to be let in once the window opens?

Every time we have gone there is a long line where they hold everyone until they are ready to open it up. Then the place fills up.

Thank you. When do folks start lining up? Is it worth standing around for that period of time, or would we be better off just staking out a spot an hour + in advance? We will be there July 4, so thought the FP would save us some time, but maybe not? Appreciate the info!

We have stopped using the FP+ due to standing in the long line and crowd in the area once we enter. If we are going to wait that long we might as well get a spot ON the fence, sit with a drink or snack and just wait. By that time our feet are happy to just rest.

As it turned out, we didn't use FP. Instead we just wandered around the world with adult libations as the show went on. I really prefer that to getting and saving spots. The FP line was simply put, a cluster. Not for me. We do the same wandering during parades at MK and AK just stopping occasionally for a few seconds here and there to view.

Are there places to anywhere (besides on the ground)?
Assuming you meant sit? We were there last night and I did not notice any benches or any other seating. Plenty of folks on the ground though.

Also, we arrived just as they were letting everyone into the area (so we're pretty far back in line) and still ended up with an excellent view. There isn't really a bad spot in there, thanks to the slope. Just a heads up to anyone worried about needing to line up super early. Granted, we weren't against the fence, but I have no complaints about our view!
