I'm curious about using FP+ for fireworks at MK. Does anyone have experience with this? Is it worth it or should I just pick an attraction instead? Where is the reserved area? I will be there the 1st week of February so I'm not expecting it to be too crowded..

Up to you to decide if you want to use up one of your 3 FP+ for this.
The viewing spot is adequate, but not the best angle.

Thanks so much for posting the photo!! It looks ok but I think I'll pass & take advantage of a third attraction instead. :)

I used a FP for Wishes last weekend and it was great. it is true that the Rose Garden is a different angle but the best part is the ability to move around a little. We were actually able to get to know some of the guests around us. Normally prior to and during Wishes those people in front, beside or in back of you are "competitors" fighting to keep their place in a prime viewing spot and you are surrounded by cast members doing their best to keep "behind the line" or "keep moving please". This is not the case at all with the Wishes FP+ area.

This was MUCH more relaxed. Definitely recommend it.

Thanks for the info. :) I was thinking more about the show they have on the castle before the fireworks & the view from the garden for that. It has been a while since I've seen the fireworks at MK..do they still do that or is it just the fireworks show?

Yes, they do the projection show.

It's now called, "Celebrate the Magic" and runs starting 15 minutes before Wishes.

It can be seen from the Wishes FP+ viewing area, but again, it's not the best angle.

It's like this...
There are compromises and somewhat difficult choices involved with using a FP+ for this because the angle is a compromise
and the use of one of the 3 precious FP+ choices for this is a loss of FP+ for something else.

If you don't mind those things, and want a spot on the grass for the viewing, that's certainly just fine.

(But, we don't know if they will start adding guests to this area as time goes by.
That may or may not affect the "crowded" issue here in the future. Stay tuned.)

Yeah, like Robo said, the viewing area is opened for the projection show. I will say the view of the images on the castle (from Rose Garden) is not as good as many other angles (as Robo's map shows). But for Wishes (and the flying Tinkerbell right overhead) I'd say I actually preferred the view. But again it might be because it was SO different to have such a large area to pick and change a viewing spot. I was hesitant to give up a FP+, but it was without a doubt worth it for us at least. I just wish they'd increase the FP+ allotment. If it stays at 3 (with tiers at Epcot/HS) the Disney experience is really going to be different for me.
