My FP+ window is quickly approaching! :) The FP+ limit of 3 - is that per person? The reason I ask is I want to get FP+ for my daughters and I to do some meet and greets with characters but my son has no interest. Since I can't test the system out ahead of time, can mine and my daughters 3 FPs be different from my son and husband's FPs?

And when I do book them - if they are for different attractions, for different people can they overlap? For example, I'd like to get an afternoon FP for Cinderella/Rapunzel for my daughters and I while my son and husband have a FP at the same time for Big Thunder Mountain or Splash Mountain?

Is that possible?

DO read Mesaboys link - it's a goldmine of information regarding FP+. I read it before every trip and we've been multiple times with FP+

Quick answer to your question - yes you can have different FP+ experiences scheduled at the same time for the 'girls' and the 'boys'. Easiest way to do this IMO is to schedule everyone for one thing (usually the harder to get one) then after you are done with making your arrangements then change/ edit the ones you need to over to a different experience.

also you can play with the system ahead of time - just not with your dates. Pick a random soonish date and schedule some FP+ and practice changing experience and time. Best thing to do is to pick less popular FP+ experiences for the test so you're not taking up (even temporarily) something someone wants). Be sure to cancel everything you make during the test time so those FP are freed up.

Yes you can. I just did ours and half us us are going to meet A&E and the other half is going to Splash. The only thing is that it means you have to do your and your DDs FP at one time and your DH and DS after you pick all 3 of yours. Basically I knew I had to book A&E right away so I booked that and 2 other attractions for the first group and then I tried to match the second group. We all want to do 7DTM and Tales with Belle so I looked for the closest time together. It gives us a narrower window in which to get to the ride so we all go together but it was doable :)

Yes, you can absolutely have different FPs for different people in your party. I believe that the times can overlap in your party, just not for an individual person. So the times booked for Person A's FPs can't overlap, but Person A and Person B can be different times that overlap.

Unfortunately, if you booked tickets as part of a package through disney, you cannot play ahead of time - it doesn't let you do anything until the moment your selection date comes. You can search you tube for some helpful walkthroughs, though, so you get an idea what the screens look like ahead of time.

did not know that - wow that's hard! We have APs so that didn't occur to me - thanks for the info!

Don't fret. I had a package, so my first booking date was my first real experience with the interface. It was not hard.

I had read up on it, looked at screenshots, and read about pitfalls (booking less than 3 for each person for instance). I was still worried to pieces, but it was not hard!

Thank you sooooo much everyone!!! This really helps!! Hoping to report back with great results!
