FP+ Flexibility

Suppose I plan a Waterpark on Wednesday and Epcot on Thursday. I plan my FP+ in Epcot. But then Wednesday comes and it is going to rain so I want to swap my water park day with my Epcot day. Doing so, I would loose all my Epcot FP+. Are people seeing that as a big deal? Or can you easily redo your schedule at the last moment and still get what you want?

Depends on how busy the parks are. We tried to change around some popular FP+ reservations at the MK last week, only to be told that no other times were available for the rest of the day. This was for the mountains and peter pan.

I also tried to copy some whole day FP+ reservations amongst family members last week and could not do it - not all of the FP+ times were available.

I was able to change around another day's FP+ reservations early one morning when Disney had just released day-off FP+ reservations.

Bottom line - don't count on it, but you could be pleasantly surprised.

So this was/is exactly my dilemma for my upcoming trip in May. I have only 4 full days(plus our arrival night) and two older teens who really want to do TL so.... we decided to hit AK on Mon. our arrival day (late afternoon) so we can ride Everest in the last hour or two before that park closes then head to HS for eve. emh. I made FP+ for TSM and ToT in the two hours before HS closes at 10pm for emh. Doing AK like that opens a day for TL.
Then I picked Wed and Thurs as our interchangeable Epcot/TL day. I booked identical FP+ for Epcot both days and identical lunch ADR at Via Napoli. When we get to Florida and see the weather forecast we will make the call and pick Wed or Thurs then cancel the FP+ and ADR (so we don't get charged). If we do TL on Thursday I will try to rebook some FP+s for MK where we plan to hop to at 6pm for dinner, park open till 11pm. Not our only time at MK so getting specific ride FP+s not so crucial.

Anyway sorry this is long and rambling, hope it makes some sense.
