FP crackdowns???

:welcome: to the dark side!! party: It is a lot more fun here.

First step is using the Fastpass late. You can work up to driving over the posted speed limit (now you're breaking laws.) One day, you'll be using household cleaners in a manner not directed by the label, like holding your Scrubbing Bubbles less than 12" from the surface to be cleaned (breaks a FEDERAL law!)

Who knows where it will end?!
Ahhh, looks like I'm already a card carrying member of the dark side based on your parameters!!! Using FP late is going to be the icing on the cake I guess:lmao:

Careful... those Funny Florida laws will get you too ;)

• You are not allowed to break more than three dishes per day, or chip the edges of more than four cups and/or saucers.

• A special law prohibits unmarried women from parachuting on Sunday or she shall risk arrest, fine, and/or jailing.

• In Florida it is illegal to fish while driving across a bridge.

• In Florida, men may not be seen publicly in any kind of strapless gown.

• Penalty for horse theft is death by hanging.

I have probably been 8-10 times since 2002.

It has never even occured to myself and my wife to attempt to use a FastPass later than the designated time slot.

I think that the front of the FP pretty much states the spirit of the law.

If it were a law--which it isn't

It's like the Pirate Code--more like a guideline. ;)

I don't think they are enforcing this one down in Key West. :rotfl2:

If it were a law--which it isn't

I think in this case it's more like a figure of speech, not meant literally.

But I like the Pirate Code point of view...I think I am going to apply that logic in everyday life as often as possible today just to drive others nuts!

The letter of the law versus the spirit of the law is an idiomatic antithesis. When one obeys the letter of the law but not the spirit, he is obeying the literal interpretation of the words (the "letter") of the law, but not the intent of those who wrote the law. Conversely, when one obeys the spirit of the law but not the letter, he is doing what the authors of the law intended, though not adhering to the literal wording.

"Law" originally referred to legislative statute, but in the idiom may refer to any kind of rule. Intentionally following the letter of the law but not the spirit may be accomplished through exploiting technicalities, loopholes, and ambiguous language. Following the letter of the law but not the spirit is also a tactic used against an oppressive government.

All I am saying is that the front of the FP states pretty clearly, please return between timeA and timeB.

Hey, I speed. I speed enough to get me where I am going faster, but hopefully not to get a ticket.

I am not making any judgements. People are going to do what they do. If the worst guest behavior at WDW was people using FP outside of the prescribed window, than the experience would be 1000% better. It is long down on my list of things to complain about.

I was just stating, it never even occured to us, because it is printed pretty clearly what the intent of the FP is. If it wasn't they would just state, please return after timeA.;)

This thread and dozens (and dozens) like them serve to explain the difference between "what it looks like" and "what really happens" at the parks.

Then, armed the "with what really happens" info, guests may choose to do that they need to do within that framework.

If you speed, there may be severe consequences.

If you arrive 75 minutes "late" on your FP to Pooh's Adventure... you'll be allowed to ride.

The simple solution to this problem is to have the Fast Passes scanned when you enter the return line. Right now, the CM's just take them by hand. Some may be reluctant to enforce the rules, or may be shy (or lazy). But if you had to send your FP through a scanner (like you do with your ticket at the front gate), then you would take the human element out of it and everyone would be equal. You would either be accepted for having a proper FP, or you would be rejected for having a fake/ expired FP. Simple solution.

If they cared that it was expired, which, apparently, they don't.

That's crazy talk! Wow you ARE a bad girl!

I would never use Scrubbing Bubbles in such an illegal manner! Gasp!

Talk about the darkside!

;) lol

The important question is.... Can you fish off of the back of a cruiseship, while going under a bridge?

This is something I need to know for my Disney Cruise next July. ;) :rotfl2:

It never even occurred to me to try to use the FastPass after the window. I almost always use them at the beginning of the time frame anyway. I go often, so I don't ride everything while I'm there most of the time. But it's good to know that I can use it after the window if need be.

I went over to ebay to check out these alleged FastPass sales. I can't believe people are trying to make money off of old FPs. Come on people! :headache:

What I saw more of over there are those "Attraction Re-Entry" passes. Where are people getting loads of these to sell? I got one once after TTA broke down. We had to walk quite a long way to walk down the exit stairs. It was pretty amusing walking through the dark tunnel, looking down at people in the stores. As we exited the stairs, a CM gave us all those attraction re-entry passes that could be used one time on any ride in the park.

Oh count me in too!! Heres to never using a FP during the return window again! lol
I think I can do you guys one better. Not only will I continue to give FPs outside their window to my hubby to use, but I will actually SELL them to him. Two rules broken...maybe three (not sure if they say "not transferable," although they definitely say "not for sale.").

It would be 3, they do say non-transferrable in addition to not for sale.

Just to be safe I would sell him a plain white envelope instead ;)

I don't go on Tower of Terror, but I usually pull a fastpass so DH can ride again fairly quickly. It's been free to him in the past, but this year I think I'll charge him one mickey bar. What can I say? Sometimes it's fun to live on the edge. :rotfl: :rotfl:
