FP+ Crackdown Software Flawed

So I've experienced significant frustration on my current trip (ends tomorrow). I've been in guest relations for a total of four hours getting my account unblocked with no rationale for why I'm being blocked.

I have only one pass (an annual pass) on my account, enter the park with a magic band, observe the Mickey 'going green' and once I try to book FP #4:

Every single time. They look at my account, see I entered appropriately, used all FP, and have no idea why. My wife also has an annual pass, enters the same parks and same FP with no problem. My kids have parkhoppers and no problems.

They keep granting me 3 FP for any ride at any time, but I'm sick of it and they have no answer to the problem.

Manager at Magic Kingdom said he's only seen it one other time (I'm so lucky) and that person was on their last day. This is Day seven for me and I've been to guest services 5 times... and only because I didn't know I was blocked the first two days (didn't try to get a fourth).

ACK!!! Was planning to come back for my anniversary in October, but rethinking that now.

Frustrated beyond belief!
 
I wonder if it's a bug with the new FP use crackdowns.
It is definitely a bug related to the new policy. No one at any level of customer service, concierge or management can explain why it is happening to me.

I checked with a friend who knows fellow CMs who were locked out.

You have to call the phone number listed in the MDE Alert. Your account has to be unlocked at the IT level - in park CMs can't unlock it for you.

Did your wife ever use FPs booked on your Profile when you weren't in the park? That could have led to the lock.
 
Sorry if my question is silly but I'm new to this. What are they cracking down about? I thought with the application it was all computer controlled now for fast passes?
 
MDE Profiles are being locked if FPs that link to the Profiles are used when a linked ticket has not been used to enter the park.

You have nothing to worry about if you enter with a ticket and use FPs that link to that same specific MDE Profile.
 
I had a fast pass problem this morning when I signed in. I took all my tickets (except one) and doubled my fast pass reservations. I have like 5 FP for the first day I arrive - at the same park, some for 3 people and some for 4 and all at different times! It continues like that for my entire stay. I'm wondering what's gonna happen now?
 
Meant to add The FP are also for all different rides! Has anyone had this happen to them before?
 
I'm a bit confused about this. So you have annual passes for the family and you book a 4th fast pass for all 4 of you later that evening say at epcot when you were at MK during the day. If 2 of the people don't end up going, you can't use those passes? That was never a problem before.

However it seems that it is no problem to just switch those fast passes to another person in the party so I'm not sure why it would be an issue in the first place.

FPs can only be used if they link to a Profile where a linked ticket has been used to enter the park.

The OP's account was locked before he ever went on this trip. A lock prevents new FP from being booked... that's why he's having problems when he goes to book FP#4.
 
This has me a bit concerned.

My extended family is staying in a suite at the Swan. Only myself and my nephew are listed on the resort reservation. So when the 60 days came up, I made Fastpasses for the group. Some people in my group are arriving a couple days earlier than I am.

I hope we don't run into problems because I booked their FPs on my MDE.

This lock has nothing to do with who is or who is not on a resort reservation.

FPs can only be used if they link to a Profile where a linked ticket has been used to enter the park.

Yesterday I was checking our fast passes and noticed one person was missing. I called and they said she did not have a valid ticket (her AP exp on Sept 22 and our trip is Sept 23) Her husband on the same reservation with the exact same ticket and exp date still had his but her's were gone. I had her renew her pass right away but we lost her flight of passage pass and they said there was nothing that could be done to correct it (just bad luck) Why is this happening with no notice and only to some people ???

Even when an account is locked, pre-booked FPs can still be used. That's why there is no problem until OP goes to book FP#4.

If the OP allowed his wife or someone else to use FPs booked on his Profile with his AP when he was never in a park, that would have caused the lock. If anyone did this between June 7th and his trip - that's what caused the lock.
 
So as long as you never allowed someone else to use your fass pass when you where not in the park after June 7th you will be ok ????

We have been going for years and sometimes we did let people swap around the bans when plans changed but not after June 7th

But. Isn't that what's going on with the op? He's using it correctly but he's blocked?

I'm on mobile and can't see signatures to find out if they were there since June 7, so maybe I'm missing something. But nothing on his post says he had previously done what you've said has to happen for his account to be locked.
