FP available for EE?

You can usually get a fastpass during EE, but in our experience, the times are usually 10 minutes after the time that you are already standing there at the ride (with no line). It never made sense for us to do FP during EE because of this.

Our experience was that fastpass availability during EE was hit and miss. Some were open as soon as the park opened, some 1/2 hr or so into EE and some not at all.

Since EE is only an hour, every minute counts. We have been known to get one when the return time was only 10 or 15 minutes away and when the regular line no longer than that. Since you have an hour window to return, you have plenty of time to go do other things before using the fastpass. We found that the lines lengthened pretty quickly during EE, so it was impossible to do more than 1 or 2 popular attractions without having to stand in line. Getting a fastpass as soon as possible during EE also allows you to get another fastpass very soon after the park opens to the general public.

Actually, FastPasses are good for the rest of the day. Disney doesn't advertise this, but it isn't a secret, either.

We have found that for Test Track it's usually a good idea to get a FP, get on stand-by and then use your FP to ride again. This holds true for EE and non-EE mornings.
Test Track has become enormously popular and the line builds early and continues throughout the day. The FP for Test Track normally run our very early in the afternoon on busy days.

What we've done on a couple of occasions is the family gets in line for one attraction (say RnR or SM) and I run and get FP's for a nearby one (like TOT or Buzz Lightyear) and join them in line. Then when we finish the first ride we can usually get right on the second.

Do you mean you can return after the last time listed? Has anyone done this and been turned away?

We have been a little bit late for the time on our Fastpass with no problem.

We were told this by a Cast Member at Who Wants to be a Millionaire, and used the knowledge at numerous attractions in several parks. In one case the FP Cast Member was reading the times out loud, and it sounded odd for her to read: "1:30, 1:30, 1:40, 1:30, 10:25, 1:30...".

Of course, as an unpublicized policy, they could decide to change this at any time.
