FP+: at which point am I locked in?

At what point am I "locked in" to a park? If I have FP+ set up for AK on Thursday, when is the last time I can make change my park selection? Say on the morning of our AK day, we decide to go to DHS instead - can I drop my AK FP selections and book 3 for DHS (based on availability of course)? Or, if I make FP selections for AK in the afternoon, but we hit all the attractions in the AM then decide to park hop to MK, can I drop the FP and book the 3 for MK (we didn't use any in AK and the return times have still not passed)? Or is it after 12am the day before you are committed to a park? TIA!

As long as you haven't used one of your three Fp+, you can change all three to another park. Even if you enter a park, decide to do walk-ons and then hop, you can change your Fp+.

This would definitely be a major concern. We decided to head to Epcot at the last minute around Noon of a moderately busy day recently. The only attractions which had any FP left were the Character Spot, Captain EO, and Journey into Imagination.

That's a possibility. I moved the FP selections from AK to MK around noon about a week and half ago and found that there was still plenty of selection. However, around 6 PM on that same day everything was pretty much locked up and there were no more opportunities to change.

Personally, from my experience, I think that you would be better served by not doing FP+ at AK if you plan to park hop. I feel like the lines at other parks are typically longer than lines at AK. Lines for Rock N' Rollercoaster and Toy Story are consistently 60-80 minutes long in the evenings. Other than Kali River Rapids during a hot day, I can't think of another attraction at AK with a line that is that long throughout the entire day.
