My DH and I will be spending one day at WDW in October. Our plan is to go to MK on an EMH morning on a MNSSHP day and then monorail to Epcot for the afternoon and evening for the Food and Wine Festival. I am trying to figure out how to do our FP+ selections. Here's what we want to accomplish:
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
Big Thunder Mt. Railroad
Haunted Mansion
Pirates of the Caribbean
Jungle Cruise
Test Track
We want this to be a relaxing trip, so if we can't get to everything on the list, it's no biggie. At first, I figured we would get everything done at MK since it's an EMH day, so we would just get one FP+ for Test Track. Now I wonder if we should do 3 FP+ at MK, then try to get a Test Track FP+ once we get to Epcot, and if we can't, we can just use the singer rider line.

Any advice?

This is a tough one. October is one of the slower months, but still - 7DMT is going to be swamped and Test Track will have quite a wait doing stand by in the afternoon... Even if you're going single rider.
If it were me.... I'd be at MK 45 minutes before the park opens for EMH... Coffee and croissant in hand. I'd wait at the rope and walk with purpose (that means as quickly as you can without being reprimanded) to 7DMT. Get that one done and then the others should be a cake walk. Schedule your Test Track FP for a time when you are absolutely sure you will be completely done with magic kingdom..... ie: after the MK party starts....
ETA - highly unlikely that there will be a TT FP available by the time you get to Epcot..

If you want 7 Dwarfs, then you should do FP there. So, though having a FP for TT would be nice, 7 Dwarfs is more important. I'd do single rider for TT and do FP for 7 Dwarfs. That being said - first you need to be able to get a FP for 7 Dwarfs. I was not able to get one in the morning at 60 days out at all - and that was on a crowd calendar day of 1 in Sept. I was able to get one late afternoon quite easily though. So, that's another option - see if you can get 7 Dwarfs since you might have to rope drop that one if you can't get one early enough in the day anyway.

I should have been more specific. We are planning on being at Epcot by lunch for Food and Wine. Then we will take an afternoon break at the resort and back to Epcot for Monsieur Paul and IllumiNations. I was thinking of trying to get a FP+ for Test Track as soon as I get to Epcot (before lunch). I could schedule it for either early afternoon before heading back to our resort or evening since I will be back for dinner. Does that change things?

I honestly think your best bet would be to do MK @ rope drop with EMH and go straight to 7DMT. The other lines shouldn't be too bad from what I've gathered with the October crowds - especially with it being a MNSSHP day.

Make your FP+ for Epcot that afternoon with TT.

Your other option would be to get your FP+ for MK. When you get to Epcot go straight to TT and wait in line. If you're arriving at noon you might get lucky and the line won't be so long with it being around lunch for most.

I don't think that changes what I would do. The crowd at the rope at MK for EMH in October won't be unmanageable. If EMH starts at 8 am and you are at the tapstile at 7:15 and then stand right at the rope to the right tunnel... two adults power walking to 7DMT - at the front of the pack (without stopping for a photo or anything else), you should beat 99% of the standby crowd and be able to get 7DMT done fairly quickly.
Let's go worst case scenario and say it'll take an hour - that'll put you at 9 am. go straight to BTMRR cause that's the next one that develops a line. Then Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise and POTC. That's the order I'd do it in. I would say that you'll be heading out of MK by noon.If you're returning through the main gate for your dinner ADR, I'd schedule the TT FP for the hour before that meal. that way you can hit the ride and then continue on to dinner.
At least this is what I'd do. My plan works for me 90% of the time.

Let's be real. To accomplish this OP doesn't really need any FPs. Having one for 7DMT would be really nice, but not necessary. The other MK rides listed can easily be knocked out by 10 AM. Even in a worst case scenario 7DMT will be a 2 hour wait which means they could be done with MK by noon. And yes TT could be quite a wait but still plenty of time to do it.

If it were me I'd get to 7DMT at rope drop, then do the other rides as you do the circuit of the park, HM, BTM, POTC, JC, you may encounter lines at BTM and JC, but, they won't be too long. Book the FP+ for TT for an afternoon slot and see if you can add a couple of tier 2 rides as well, you don't have to do them, but, if you have time it'll be something to do. Seriously, don't think the single rider line at TT will be that much quicker, it's a fallacy now that everyone has that idea, you won't get on much quicker and you'll be separated, go for the FP+ instead.

Ok now I'm looking at the rides open for Morning EMH at MK and it looks like the only ride I had listed that will be open is Haunted Mansion. Seriously? 7DMT, BTMRR, and PoC are not open during Morning EMH???
