FP+ at 60 days, which are "selling out?"

I'm sorry if this is repetitive, but can a person not staying on-site, make FP+ reservations in advance? We will be using older tickets for a one day visit, driving from Tampa, during the last week of March. My understanding is I will only be able to get FPs from a kiosk once I enter the park. Is that correct?

Do you mean the day of your visit or the day before. If you only tried the day and night before, did you try on the morning of your visit after the park opened?

There is increasing evidence that a number of FP slots are held for same day use, both for offsite guests getting their first opportunity to get FPs and for onsite guests trying to change theirs.

Night before and day of.

This is correct.
No advance FP+ reservations unless you are staying onsite of have a MagicBand.
You will go to a FP+ kiosk once in the park to make your 3 selections for the day.

I think they are sending out magnets with the important dates on it...including booking ADRs and FP, and payment date of course.
I have a ASMo/MK trip in October, and I just got a packet from Disney explaining MM+, MBs, ad nauseum. I've read all about it on here, but it was a nice top down explanation. The 30 page booklet is daunting to the masses, I'm sure, but it's all there. Yes, there is a magnet in the back (with Dumbo, of course) listing important dates (start booking dining (180 out), start selecting FP+ (60 out), etc).

So regarding the ADRs: do i just take the three defaults from the system for FP+ and then change them individually? Or will I still have the ADR issue where the system won't let me? Really need to find this out definitively so i know whether or not to purchase the DXDP.

If you have your ADR linked to your profile, they say they set up FP+ so they won't conflict with ADR's or each other. When I did mine I believe that's true, because I never had an option to overlap an ADR with a FP+ When you pick FP+, it will let you pick your three choices, then give you three or four options on the times for them. Like one day I have Toy Story Mania at 3:05, Disney Jr live on stage at 4:20 and Voyage of the Little Mermaid at 5:10. My ADR that day is 12:35. Then if you don't like one of the times, you can go back individually and change the time on it. Say you wanted Toy Story Mania before lunch, you could go into that one and pick a different time.

If you try to overlap something, I know for a fact the system will note that. When I did my MK FP+, I tried to change our Meet with Mickey time to earlier in the day. The system gave me 6:55pm, and I was trying to change it to 11:00. When I made the change, for whatever reason it only changed me, and not the four others in my party. I went back to change them, and the system would only let me choose 11:15, not 11:00. So I picked that just to keep the time, and then tried to change mine to the 11:15 time, and it wouldn't let me. And the MDE app said "time overlap" or something to that affect. It looked like it would have let me keep mine at 11:00 and the four others at 11:15, but it did note it was an overlap. I don't know what would have happened once I got to the park with it?

If you have any trouble changing them after they've been selected, just call Disney directly. I called and they fixed it in just a couple of minutes so that everyone was at 11:00. :)

I made my FP+ reservations last night for our April vacation. Not all times were available for the major headliners at almost 60 days out. I tried to sync up our reservation times with my sister's reservation times, and could not for some attractions. I don't know how the time slots are released for booking by Disney, but at almost 60 days out, there were very few return times for TSM available for booking.

This is a very different scenario then we had when booking FP+ for our November and December trips. I made all of the FP+ reservations right before the trips, and even changed times/attractions during the trip. I don't think this will be possible for our April trip as everyone is doing FP+.

Not loving FP+ :(

Ah crap, that is not good at all. If that is still without off sites or APs prebooking ... not looking good.

Though I wonder exactly what "Few" spots available actually translates to.

Not all Fastpasses are available at 60 days some are held for day off. So even if you don't get what you want when you book check back the day off.

Anyone know when I could book a FP for the Main Street electrical parade? At my 60 days it wasn't available as a choice

The Parade & Firework FP's aren't released at the same time. They are released much closer to your date and they're not for every night either.

We were in the same boat for out trip this past January and we were able to link the voucher code on MDE over the phone and book our fastpasses... Not sure if you can do it online though...

I just really want to thank you!!! If you had not told me this I would have never inquired about it! It took an hour on the phone but none the less I get to book my FP+ in 5 days!!! :D
