FP+ and rider swap?

so, we made our FPs a month ago and we're afraid that we should have taken the fact that it'll essentially take the time of riding twice to do our rides...and not have booked back to back FPs.

For example on one of our days we have 7dmt at 5:25. The youngest is not expected to meet height requirement so we'll do swap. Then at 6:25 we have BTMRR.

On this particular day our 3rd is one we can all ride, but has anyone had issues doing back to back FP rides while splitting for rider swap? We're afraid we may have made our schedule too tight!

We've used rider swap countless times and it really does not take up that much extra time, especially when you're using it with FP+. The second parent and child(ren) go through the FP+ line. We usually book our FP+ back to back too and have never had a problem making it to the next one on time. Have a great trip!

Thanks! This is our first trip with FP+ so we're not sure what to expect!

We did back to back for a lot of rides, but some we saved for later and used them when the parks were super crowded. I actually liked doing that better since we were able to ride some more things when the lines were longer than I wanted to wait.

Also good to note that our swap passes were good for the rest of the month, so if you'll be returning to that park later in your trip you can use it on a different day!

One of the ones that I noticed taking awhile is Splash Mountain. I think the rest are fairly quick rides (so you should be fine on those) but Splash is a longer ride so touring plans predicted it may take around 40 minutes to do two rides.

I booked most of our FP+ back to back and except for when TT broke down on me we had no problems getting both parties on the ride in the hour. We did also choose to use a few passes later as they were good to the end of the month as noted by pps

This is what DH is most concerned with. We only have one Splash. It's a 5:30 with a 6:30 for 3 of us at tomorrow land speedway and the other two at Space for 6:30 afterwards.

Don't forget the return window is an hour...your first ride at 5:25 you have all the way until 7:25 to get to BTMRR (plus any grace period) - I wouldn't worry about it at all.

I wouldn't worry about it. Except for Splash as a PP mentioned...that one can take a while but it is because the ride is so long. I am most in favor of using your swap later in the day or on another day. On our second day at MK, we started the day off with two extra rider swaps for 7DMT and 3 extra for Space. It was fantastic going into the day! Also if you have littles in your group, don't forget to go visit some of those attractions late in the evening (after fireworks) if they are sleeping in the stroller. One parent and any waking children can ride, but go ahead and ask for a swap! Lines are typically short and then you and the kids can ride again on a later day! Another thing that worked well for us, was to book a FPfor a parent late on some of those bigger rides. Single FP weren't too hard to come by!

Yep. I think people often miss that you do not have to use the rider switch immediately after the initial group rides.

All the Rider Swap passes we got this past week said we could use it any time in May. In other words, you can use it that day or any other day that month! You can always go ride your second FP and come back later to use Rider Swap.
