FP+ and MSEP for offsite guest?

I'm still trying to wrap my head around how FP+ works with the parades.

We are going in March but staying offsite. So, we can't make any FP+ choices until we arrive at the park. However, for our 2nd day at MK, we are only going in the evening to ride a couple of rides and watch MSEP.

Can I take all 8 tickets with me in the morning to get FP+ for MSEP? Do I have to scan each one as admission into the park to make this work? (I guess I could claim I bought a ticket for all 8 of my personalities...)

I would prefer to not drag everyone out of bed and to the park just to get FP+, but I'm sure all of the MSEP FP+ would be gone by 5pm.

Thoughts?

This is how legacy FP worked, and I believe it is still how FP+ works: the ticket must be scanned for entry to be able to make FP+ selections at a kiosk. Contrary experiences welcome.

And, you can't get your group to MK before 5:00p?

You could book a room at a value for one night and get FP+ access for the length of your trip and you guys can sleep as late as you want. Probably worth $13 per person to have access to FP+ for your trip especially if you want to take your time getting to the parks. Enjoy your trip

No, I can't get my group there at 8am. It will be our last day before we fly out the next morning, so we are spending the morning by sleeping in, packing, etc. We aren't going back over as a group until later in the day. I'm the morning person (6:30 is sleeping in for me), so I would be willing to go over to the park and make the FP+ reservations for all of us. (and maybe sneak in a ride while they're all still sleeping - but don't tell anyone!)

I doubt the 3 year old, 5 year old, and two 8 year olds (4 of the 8 people) will be willing to front any money for the value room.

And it's a spring break peak week, so there's nothing we could get that cheap for one night. Nothing available per WDW booking, anyways.
