FP+ and military tickets?

Does anyone have experience with using FP+ with military tickets while staying at a WDW resort? Can the military tickets be linked to the MB? If not, then do you still get MBs in advanced of your resort stay and can FP+ be pre-booked?

We haven't gone on our trip yet, but we are staying on property and have the military salute tickets linked to the My Disney Experience account. We have picked out our magic bands and made all our dining reservations, and are now waiting for our Fastpass time to come up and our magic bands to be shipped. It was a very simple and easy process.
