I have the MDX app on my phone as well as my tablet. (Though of late it simply doesn't work on my tablet).

Often when I get in, I get a message saying it can't display my plans - check back later.

Is this common? When I am ready to go for FPs (not until May, we're going in July) - might this be an issue?

Is it recommended to get the FPs on a regular ol' computer / browser instead?

("Regular ol' computer" - I never thought we'd get to the point where that made sense!)

I prefer computer for initial booking. For me, it’s easier to navigate / move back and forth between windows.

I found the computer/website to be easy to use. I think partially because the bigger screen meant I could easily read each prompt and find the "next" or "confirm" buttons. BUT, I was sure to have my phone (the app) nearby in case the website was wonky. I did use the app to tweak the FP times once I had scheduled 3 per day fairly close to my wish list.

If you're going on a long trip and have a significant other or someone else with you at your 60 day mark then one of you can book on the phone and one can book on the computer. One take the end of the trip and one take the beginning.

For me, I always book everything on my phone.

Yep, very common.
Doubt it will be an issue. I find I can refresh right away and it displays correctly

I get that message . . . nearly as often as it actually displays anything for me. Usually this doesn't cause any problems with booking FP+ As others have suggested, I would have both the mobile device, and the computer up and ready to go. A back up is always a good idea. I also prefer the computer for initial booking. I feel as though I can navigate my way through it faster than I can get through the process on the phone.

I sometimes get that message. So, I have the app on the phone, Chrome on one laptop, and Safari on another ready to go when booking dining and FP+. I used to have a Mac and Windows laptop ready, but I only have Macs now. One thing that sometimes works is to clear the data/cache/history. I usually do it for the last hour or day. You may be able to do it just for the Disney domain, but I haven't found that option lately in Chrome. This will sometimes fix it. I have also noticed lately that I get the "Stitch ate the page" error when trying to look up hotel rates or menus, if I am not logged in. You have to keep logging back in, because no matter how many times you have selected to "Remember Me", it will only keep you logged in for so long after inactivity>:( I do prefer to use the website though. I am less prone to fat finger stuff there, and my mouse is more responsive than my phone touch screen.
