FP+ 60 day question

So I have this irrational (maybe) fear that the MDE won't recognize that it's my 60 day mark and won't let me make my choices at midnight which means I won't have a chance at the holy grail A&E FP! Have people been having a good experience with this aspect or is it "glitchy" as well?

I guess you can tell by my name that I'm still fighting the last war. So if I'm missing something obvious, someone please point it out.

A few days ago I linked my Nov'14 reservation to BLT on the My Disney Experience website. I bought park tickets through the My Disney Experience website (fearing some kind of glitch if I saved a few bucks and tried to link a 3rd party park ticket).

Just now for heck of it I tried to book a FP+, thinking it would say "Sorry, you have to wait 60 days before, blah blah blah". Well, the MDE website let me book three FP+ for 8 people in my party for Wednesday, April 30th, a full 199 days before my check-in date of November 16, 2014.

What's up with that?

Hmmm.... I think I know the answer to my own question. I guess since i have paid for park tickets, I could theoretically walk into the park next Wednesday, even though my hotel reservation is not for another 7 months. Therefore MDE let me book the FP+

Correct! :) Anyone with tickets linked to MDE can book Fp+ up to 30 days in advance.

I'm frustrated as well. Hubby made the hotel reservation but clearly told cm he was not going on the trip. I went on mde to customize my bands etc and his name was there- not mine. I emailed. They wrote back and told me the 2 phone calls it would take to fix. Made the phone calls. It fixed the magic bands but when I went to fast pass BOG, again my name was missing and hubby's was there. I get to do ride fast passes this Thursday. I hope I can get it fixed before then. Sorry. A little frustrated!:confused3

It worked just fine for us yesterday. Unfortunately, even booking at midnight A&E was already gone for the date we wanted. We were able to get it for a different day during our stay, but it means we can't make FP in DHS for that day unless they change the rules on park hopping before we go.

Changes are coming tomorrow regarding park hopping, perhaps that may help. See the green link in my signature, Bullets 1-5, for info on the changes.

Yeah, unfortunately it won't help that much. It's actually my BIL's family that will be affected (DH and I have no kids and thus no desire to see A&E on this trip). We are doing MK on our first full day at Disney (a Thursday), but they couldn't get the A&E FP until the following Monday, which is going to be a DHS day. The current plan is for them to head to MK first thing, just do A&E, and then hop over to DHS to meet up with us. Not sure what other FPs in MK they pre-booked, but I don't think they want to spend several hours there doing rides they already did on Thursday. Even if they did, it's likely they wouldn't be able to book TSMM or RRC as a 4th FP same day (and almost certainly they won't be able to book an overlapping time slot with us so that we can ride together). SIL is going to keep checking for an A&E FP on Thursday in the hopes that one opens up.

I suppose the other option is simply switching our MK day to Monday, but we already have the Tomorrowland Dessert Party booked for Thursday night, plus ADRs at MK for dinner Thursday and DHS for dinner Monday. :rolleyes2
