FP+ 1 hour windows back to back, too long?

I'm trying to visualize how a day would actually flow. I want to make the most efficient use of my FP+ by scheduling them for times when SB lines would otherwise be longest. I don't necessarily need to achieve a bunch of additional rolling FPs.

Is it just me or does it seem like a FP at 11, 12, 1 would leave an awkward amount of time between attractions? Unless I've selected things on opposite ends of the park (long walks) and I suppose do the late end of one window then early part of window 2. . . ? Seems that I'd have a block of time a little too short to fit in any standby rides, but a bit too long to be willing to stand around waiting?

After you use your first fastpass, you can often move the second fastpass time up by using the mobile app. Using this technique, you can make the fastpasses work to your advantage and fastpass rides much more efficiently than you used to be able to do with the old fastpass system.

Example, ride Big Thunder Mountain at the beginning of a 10am window. As soon as you pass the first turnstyle, you will be able to edit your Splash Mountain return time up from 11:00am to something much more reasonable like 10:10am. :thumbsup2

The other thing to remember is if you have a 2:00 - 3:00 , 3:00 - 4:00, and a 4:00 - 5:00 if you ride at 2:00 you have 2 hours to ride other thing before the 4:00 expires. Then, you could go directly to your next FP+

If you ride FP 1 in the last 10 minutes and FP 2 in the first 10 minutes, then you have nearly 2 hours before you have to ride FP 3. I think that's probably enough time to ride 2 things standby, but definitely anything once that's not a headliner. You could also do 2 at the end of the window and 3 and the start of the window and have 2 hours between FP1 and FP2. :)

I agree that they should let you overlap them by 30 minutes though. If you want to risk missing one, that's your decision.

And don't forget to take into account the actual time spent at the attraction. For example, I had a 12:30 Soarin' FP+. I entered the line at exactly 12:30 then there was about 10 to 12 minutes in line up to the merge point, then another 10 in the load zone, then the ride. It was a total of 45 minutes by the time I was back outside the Land pavilion. So it was only 15 minutes until my next window opened. I know not all attractions will take the same amount of time, but some do.

I think the one hour window is good, especially since you can adjust your later times if there is availability.
