Four years ago, the DIS lost a friend...

Hard to imagine, four years already. Our friend, low-key, also known here many years ago as Pop Daddy, or just Jason. passed away four years ago today. I recall Jason as a friend, an online friend, whom we both said we would become real life friends over a beer or two some day. Well, some day did not come soon enough for us. Jason remains an online friend to me, though at times, he truly seems like a real life friend to me. He was a real guy. He was a character, a real character. Fun-loving, seemingly carefree, though at the same time, compassionate, thoughtful. Jason was a good guy for sure. For those who possibly are not aware of low-key, maybe arriving here on the DIS sometime in the past four years, a thread that was written at the time of his passing is below, in the lower right corner of my signature.

And Jason liked music, a lot. Thought I would add a song below, sort of says it well, recorded during the pandemic, 6 years ago.

It doesn’t seem possible it could have been that long ago. Every time I use the phrase “low-key” I think of him.

Ah, low-key. He was indeed a character and kept the board lively. He was always fun and is missed greatly around here.
