Day 4- Typhoon Lagoon & Cirque Du Soliel

In retrospect, I believe this was our best day. We really had a good time. Niece & nephew love to swim, so this was right up their alley.

We arrived at the CR bus stop about 8:20 or so & waited only about 3 minutes for a bus-cool! Off to Typhoon Lagoon! This was our second time to enjoy TL. It's really a neat waterpark. For so long, we hesitated going to a Disney waterpark because we live at the home of America's #1 waterpark(according to the Travel Channel)-Schlitterbahn! We preferred to stick to the theme parks. Last trip we stayed for nine days, & decided to take a day to relax at TL. It was so much fun, we wanted to take our neice & nephew this trip.

Since we were early arriving, we grabbed five chairs over on the far right-hand side of the wave pool. We made sure each of us put something on our individual chairs so they were claimed. Later, when we came back, someone  had moved my stuff onto my nephew's chair & taken it for themselves! I made a point to express my anger at this mysterious person! I tried not to let it ruin our day though.

We all enjoyed the wave pool the most-every 90 seconds a huge wave! However, in the middle of the day, they turned it off for about 30 minutes  . We also enjoyed the lazy river & some of the slides. My fave part of the day was swimming with the sharks. I didn't do this last trip-what a blast!

No one else wanted to do this with me, but agreed to come watch. The first time, I had trouble breathing just through my mouth. I ended up swallowing some saltwater & had to stop on the big rock right after the start & regain my composure. I finally figured it out & made my way slowly across the pool. Upon reaching the stairs on the far side, I still had my head down. When I realized where I was, I raised up my head to climb out, & BOOM! I hit my head hard on the stair rail. It wasn't like I knocked myself out, but it was pretty hard. So, I walked around for the next couple of days with a big red bump on my forehead! Considering that I'm almost totally bald, the knot had nowhere to hide! Oh well. I was still together enough to try it again. Now that I knew how to do it, it was more fun. I made a point to steer clear of that rail. Unfortunately, I didn't see that small boy getting out in front of me. So I knocked him & myself over! No damage done, though. We both were OK. As I found my family, all my nephew could talk about was that some guy in front of me got kicked out of the pool because he kicked a shark. Of course, I missed it all while bumping my head & knocking over small children!

Anyways, we ate lunch at Leaning Palms. The usual burgers & fries, but it was good. Swimming always makes food taste so good. After lunch, we enjoyed the wave pool some more & then decided to go back to CR. Very little wait time for a bus.

We were sheduled for the 6pm Cirque show, so we left CR about 4. We needed to pick up our tickets at will-call by 5:30. After getting our tickets, we shopped a little at West Side. Got in line about 5:20 for the show. Got some popcorn & cokes & settled into our 3rd row seats. We had category 2, but still managed some good seats-very close to the action. They start a pre-show about 20 minutes before the scheduled start. Very funny! DW had been iffy on this after seeing some Cirque shows on TV. The show won us all over. Excellence personified! You should see this if you haven't. I think this was the best thing we did all week. My fave part was the Chinese acrobats-is that what you call them? Anyways, they were great!

After the show, we had an 8pm PS at Planet Hollywood. Is it just me, or is their way of seating you complicated? First you check in outside, then you have to get by the bouncer ;) , then you wait upstairs. Finally, we were seated. We had eaten here before, but I forgot how LOUD(!!!) it is in here. The food is good, but I guess I'm getting old-it's just too loud for me!

We shopped some more, & then returned to CR. DW & DD were beginning to complain about a rash(!) around their neck & on their arms. Was it from some new detergent we were using? No. Maybe it's this new sunscreen I brought with us, DW says. Hmmm... This rash thing was starting to get out of hand! The good news was our nephew said his was getting better.

The saga continues...

Love La Nouba too! The little Chinese girls and the strongman and the way they climb the walls! Awsome show!

Great report ~ Thanx for sharing.

So you're the ones. Think you can claim FIVE chairs as you walk in and and have them there when you are ready for them. To top it off you expressed your anger to them over something you had no more right to? You're lucky to have made it to day V.

Thanks for sharing - I can't imagine that guy kicking a shark - what an idiot. Wonder if he was trying to get it to bite him so he could sue Disney for a boat load of money?
