Don't have much time to post as it's 10:14PM here and I really need to get to bed. I've been busy having a yard sale, which was last weekend and now I'm getting ready for a PTO fundraiser that I am the Co-Chair of. It's called Six in the Stix which is a 6 mile trail run through the woods in my town. I'm praying for good weather (it's on June 13th) so that we get alot of runners to show.

So glad to hear about your dad Wendy! Hugs and prayers for him from me. Are you feeling human yet?

Hey all, just stopping in to leave a quick "Hello" to all my TK friends! I actually cooked today, and it didn't come out bad! Then I cleaned up a little around here, then decided to plop on the couch and work on my photo pass pictures. Gotta get ready for bed now, gotta get up early and take the doggie to the vet to get her teeth cleaned.

I actually ate 3 real meals yesterday, which is a first. Breakfast today too. So we will see. The beautiful weather helps alot! close to 80 today, yesterday was mid to upper 70s. I like it!!

Good afternoon friends! I'm glad to see that everyone is enjoying this fine weather we all seem to be having! its sunny mid-70s here and we're loving it!

its Fleet Week! We went down to NYC yesterday and there were Marines and Navy sailors EVERYWHERE. It was wonderful! It seemed the entire city was happier with all the young gleeful men running around. If in uniform, almost everything is free for them and people were just going up them and saying hello and thanks. I love NYC at times like these.

I took my visiting family to the Empire State building, which is horribly overpriced but is a must-do. Can you beleive my cell phone didn't have signal up there? It was a gorgeous day to be there, we could see for miles (although I was too busy looking at the boys!). From there, we walked up Fifth Avenue and crossed 42nd to Times Square. We did a little gawking and then had some real NY pizza for dinner before the show.

We got tix to see Mary Poppins. Honestly, I didn't find it that good. The sets and effects were amazing, and the performances were very good. But it just wasn't MAGICAL, what I expect from Disney. In comparison to Beauty and Beast and the Lion King, MP just kinda fell flat. it was disappointing, but it was fine enough.

Racetrack, I've been using AVG for years and it was only when I downloaded the latest update this week that my computer freaked out. Its a good program and was very pleased with it until a few days ago. I'm using a newer program now from pctools.com and haven't really been using it long enough to make a proper judgement.

My family is leaving Sunday, so we have to pack them up this weekend and make the trek to JFK. Then my Dad returns from the Phils and I have to GO BACK to JFK on Thursday night. Ack! I'm just so tired. All this entertaining and being a good host really takes its toll on people!

Oh! I forgot to add that I found out that Adam is not the new American Idol and I'm completely shocked! But glad that Kris won. Now all the coverage is theories WHY Kris won and not Adam, all these conspiracies. Why can't they just let the kid have his glory? Why cut down his moment?

Have you seen the coverage of the terror plot here in NY? We did notice a heavy police presence on 8th Avenue near the Empire, at the Jewish Learning Center. Also, Stewart AFB is my local airport---what the news is not saying is that West Point has their graduation this weekend, and some big politician usually attends....most often the Vice president. They land at Stewart, their big Air Force II and drive the 10 miles to West Point. I'm so glad they stopped these men when they did. Its going to be crazy there this weekend. Thank goodness for our police force and FBI.

Just taking a minute to sit. I've started packing!!! I can't believe it's only 15 more days. DH is even looking forward to this vacation. Not that he didn't enjoy our other vacations but I think it was getting to a "been there, done that" type of attitude.

It's beautiful here today. Officially in the 80's by one degree. Still wish it was warmer. When we hit 90 then I'll be happy.

Gotta get back to packing before all the little rugrats get home.

MK I forgot about Fleet Week!!! I LOVE men in uniform! Too bad my appt wasnt this week instead of June 1--not that I could have handled a trip into NYC at this point... So glad they stopped that terrorist plot. It just shows that the good guys ARE doing their jobs protecting us! I hope nothing else goes down with the West Point Graduation. I'd love to be a fly on the wall to hear what ol' Joe has to say!

I like men in uniform too, but now a days they are all too young for me.
Our road closures are for missile testing. It can occur anytime of the year. Each morning I check the paper for closures. I guess I could call the day before but I never think of that.

Good evening ladies!

Only one more day before we get a three day weekend! The boys are going to be gone for 3 days with my inlaws!Please forgive me if I mentioned that already as I've totally lost track of who I've told this stuff to.

D&D:Good Luck! We bought a Toyota Sienna two years ago this November. We had a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan before that and my DH hated it! Not sure if it was the van or if it was the fact that we bought it used and the people before us were tough on it or something. The way car sales are right now you should be able to run the show. When we went to buy our van DH had already decided what we could afford and how much he was willing to pay. He basically let the salesperson do his thing and then said "Look, this is what I'm willing to pay to drive away today in a new Sienna." The salesman did his back and forth with the manager and we ended up with the price we wanted and could afford. I wish we could have been able to go up one catagory and get the van with the dual electronic sliding doors(plus rear hatch) but we could only do the LE. Less things to break!

Fleet week must be something to see! All those delicious young men in uniforms. Some of the older ones aren't too bad looking either!

I can't believe racetrack only has 15 days until her trip! Pack! Pack! Pack!

Not much else is going on around here. Oh, I did hear some sad news. My Uncle by marriage has two sons from a previous relationship that I knew while I was growing up. I don't think that I've seen then in atleast 5 years and I just learned, from my DS11 of all people(he's friends with the son's half-nephew), that his yougest DS out of the two commited suicide. He was only 37. I feel so bad for my Uncle and to make things worse for the guy whomever gave the information for the Obit in the paper totally left out my Uncle and the entire side of that family. Nothing like a little kick in the ding-ding!

Evening!! Just sitting here waiting for DH to get home. He was out of town for the week again. Cincinnati this time. And he might go back out of town next week too. I'm telling ya, this vacation can't come soon enough.

Pikester, that is so sad about your Uncle's son. I'll be saying a prayer for his family.

I've been doing some online searches on cities/towns in Florida. I've found one that we are very interested in...Auburndale. A former diser actually gave me some info on it. It's pretty small compared to where we are now. And it's a little closer to Disney than I actually planned on moving. Might take a ride over while we are on vacation to take a look around.
