Someone doesn't want me on the computer. :happytv:

Thanks everyone for your concern and good wishes. It has not been a good day. i woke up after about 4 hours sleep, feeling nauseious as usual. Ate about 1/2 piece of toast so I could take Motrin. Took the Percocet at 11 with a couple little bites of pudding, before heading to the doctor. At this point, the nausea was in high gear. We had just gotten off the Garden State Parkway when I had to ask the driver to pull over. Up it all came. I felt alot better then--for a short time.

I told the doctor about the severe pain, the extreme nausea, fever, etc. He said, "Apparently Superwoman has encountered some Kryptonite"!!!!! I thought that was really funny--they all call me superwoman becuase I bounce back so fast. He said MOST patients who have major abdominal surgery do NOT go home the same day, and they DO still have pain a week or 2 past the surgery. Apparently, this is NORMAL!! He is not at all worried. He pulled out the 2 drains, so now of course I am leaking onto my dressing, but that, too is normal.

So that way my good news for the day--I thought. (hold onto your seats...) The rest of the day I have felt lousy, barely eaten anything, and as soon as I eat enough crackers to take Percocet, I am going to bed. God willing, I will get some sleep tonite.

So, on to the news. On the way home from the doctor, my Dad calls. He has gotten a call from the Transplant Center. He is to come in for some blood work (routine). Oh, and by the way, Mr. H, you are now NUMBER ONE on the list for a new kidney of your type!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So this means he must be reachable by cell phone 24/7 (even on the golf course, LOL!!) When they call, we drop everything and go. This probably means we will cancel their anniversary trip, and I may cancel my trip to Scotland, but we are waiting to see what they tell him when he goes down for his checkin visit in June. I really hope he gets a few weeks at least though, so Mom is home and functioning and I am not useless.

I am just SOOOOOOOO excited!

Oh Wendy, that is such great news for your dad. I'll be praying for him and your mom and you. And well, all of ya!!! Keep us updated about what they say when he sees the doctors. :grouphug:

DL55, now I see why you don't get here too often with the cat interfering in your computer time. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Wendy...great news about your Dad, I had to come over from Facebook after you left that teaser message.

Nothing new here, kids are back at school, Tod worked nights so is sleeping...looking forward to a nice quiet day....and the sun is shining, thx Marie.

D&D - Love the pics...I was at the canyon in January and it was too cold to do much looking around. It's an amazing sight.

Whgrn - for Dad!!!!!! Be praying for him and hoping his wait is short. :woohoo:

Good morning friends! Sorry to have been MIA for a while, I really messed up my computer lately. I've been using AVG for my anti-virus protection for years now, but somehow when I downloaded the latest upgrades, it totally made my computer go WONKY. BF had to talk me down from taking a sledge hammer to my computer, I was THAT mad. Screaming, beating, I can't take it anymore frustration. It was not my best moment.

Made older nephew look at computer and he determined that it was not necessary to commit computer homicide quite yet. Took a while to uninstall AVG, but did manage to do it, got a new anti-virus program and I'm up and running!

I only read the last page, but such fantastic news! Congrats to Wendy and her family on the transplant list! Its the waiting now that's difficult, but tell Dad its just time to get as healthy as he can in prep for the operation. My Dad had his transplant nearly ten years ago and is still doing great. Saying extra prayers for the family, and hope you get better too Wendy!

We saw most characters in EPCOT. Saw characters in nearly every country. Saw Aurora, Belle, and Beast in France; Alice, Pooh, Eeyore and Tigger in England. Snow White was in Italy, Alladin, jasmin and Genie in morocco. Mulan in China and Mexican Donald. Did both Faeries and Princesses at Judges tent in MK. The princesses were Aurora, Belle and Cinderella. The line for faeries was much longer.

My niece and I finished out photopass editing and ended up with 753 pictures! I ordered it already and should receive it before they leave on Sunday...

hey LITC! how you doing? hope the nursery comes along nicely...

Thanks Racer for noticing my absence. Am almost definitely bringing young nephew with me to Hershey...saw a commercial for it last night and got really excited!

ok, going back to read on all the goings on....have a great day everyone!

Welcome back Kitty! Glad your computer isn't "WONKY" any more. :lmao:

I wish we'd see some commercials for Hershey. Too far away I guess.

Does anyone know of any discount coupons or tickets we can get ahead of time???? I'm all for saving some bucks.

hey D&D~ yeah, I was ugly the last few days. I just hated feeling so helpless and at the tech gods mercy.

I have some coupons for Hersheypark, but they're only good on the one-day admission. I saw online that the two day ticket was only $10 more. I'm hoping better tickets come out, but I have some extras of these that I can give you if you want them. They can be used online if you'd like to check it out. for the dates we're looking at, its $10 off in july, and the promo code is 6603.

maybe i'll check AAA too and see if they're offering any specials...

Kitty - I'm trying that 6603 coupon code and its not working. Is that the correct # or do you have to have a hard copy coupon?

I'm looking at the coupon right now. that's the correct code from what i can see. if you want, PM me your mailing address and I'll get it out to you in today's mail, it doesn't go out until after three.

whgrn Hope you are feeling better today. :flower3: Hope your dad doesn't have too much longer to wait.
MagiKitty Glad your computer is fixed.

Wish we could go to Hersey Park. DH mentioned wanting to take a few days off in July. I mentioned our TK meet but he said no. I guess PA is to far for a weekend trip. :rolleyes1

D&D..I just tried the May code and it worked...maybe you have to buy the tix the month you're going? the may code is 6601. on the tickets specials page, they have the partnered for coupons info. my coupon is from Burger king, but it looks like we may get $11 off from a local Giant (grocery) store according to the info there....i'll still send out the coupon for you though, I can always pick up more...

DL...don't give up yet! you never know....i'm still trying to convince BF to go myself. he did perk up a bit when i mentioned gettysburg (i don't even know if that's close) when we were watching a documentary on Lincoln last night.

Oh I know it's impossible. We drive mostly (too cheap for flying) so it would take most of the days just driving. We would need a week at least and we already have 2 scheduled for our cruise.

Well, I am happy to say that I am feeling almost human today! I slept great, woke up with only minimal pain, and realized I had an appetite! So I took the nausea medicine and cooked myself an egg. Only took 1 Percocet, and it seems to have done just fine. Aside from being very tired (I took a 2 hour nap this morning!) I feel decent.

Thanks for all the good wishes for Dad. The reason I didnt just post it on FB is that when I told him I had posted about him breaking his arm, he said he didnt want his personal business posted for the world to see. So I figured I would privately tell anyone who asked, but not broadcast it to the world. That said, when he gets a kidney, I AM posting that !!!

I am gettting excited about the TK meet. That may turn out to be my only vacation this summer, so its a big deal for me! Mainly, I just cant wait to finally meet some of my TK friends besides racerchicky and MK, who have already graced me with their presence. This is gonna be SO much fun!

Well, I do believe I might actually be HUNGRY! Maybe I will go find some lunch...

I gotta play catch up here, but wanted to let you all know that I had my 20 week ultrasound today. It was really cool, baby didn't really want to cooperate for the measurements, but we did get to see "it" from several angles. All seems to be developing nicely. When we got home we worked a little more on clearing out the babies room-Just a little more to lear out and then we, well DH will start painting. Then wecan start moving forward with furniture and such.

Morning:

LITC - Glad to hear everything went OK with the ultrasound. :goodvibes

Sounds like the Hershey meet is coming together OK...I guess I'll just have to be content with pictures!

We FINALLY are getting some decent weather so I'll probably putter in the yard today. DH is sleep until 1ish. Tomorrow is to be 82*F :woohoo: so I guess I better find some shorts!!

Kids and I watched Idol last night...I still like Kris but my kids are all for Adam...or as DD calls him "that Goth Guy"...not sure how she know's what Goth is???

Good Morning!!!! It is absolutely beautiful here today. Not a cloud in the sky and the temp is inching up by the minute.

Magikitty, did you always have problems with AVG? I just got rid of Norton and downloaded that one. It sounds like you picked up the same Hershey coupons that I've seen around here. I'm still waiting to see if Giant comes out with anything better for the summer. In past years, they have always been cheaper than everybody and any coupons. They are selling some now but they are only good until the end of May.

Ev, isn't it amazing what kids will pick up?

whgrn, glad you are feeling much better.

LITC, sounds like everything is coming along nicely. But make sure you don't over do it. You better take some time to rest in all the preparations!

DL55, wish you could make it out here for the meet. But I'm with you on the flying deal. Not only do I hate to fly but that's a boatload of money to drop for 6 people.

LivinInTheCastle Glad the ultrasound showed everything normal. :thumbsup2
I'm a bit frustrated today. The only direct road to Las Cruces (closest city) is being closed today for testing at the base. Of course I have a dentist appt. today. :headache: I'll be able to get there but I'll be delayed at least an hour on the way back. Normally I wouldn't care too much but I let my DD use our car to get to work so instead of being only a half hour late to work she'll be 1 1/2 hours late. She probably doesn't even care, but I hope this encourages her to save up for a car. :teacher: Unfortunately, she doesn't seem to learn anything, even the hard way. :sad2:

We've got some great weather here too. Supposed to get to 87F. :woohoo:

LITC - Glad your ultrasound went well.

DL55 - Bummer about the road closure.

Hate the inconvenience.

Hi Race & Whgrn!

So where has Bopsmom been lately? She's MIA. :confused3

Why the heck is the dis sooo sloooww lately? It takes forever for the pages to load.

DL55, I hear you about the roads. There are so many closed around here because of the new casino they are opening. Traffic is horrible and I can't even begin to imagine what it will be like when the casino opens this weekend.

D&D, Bopsmom is on facebook. You could probably message her there and find out where she is. :rolleyes1
