Thanks M&N! What's going on? Why aren't you feeling well? Maybe you should look to Hotwire for Williamsburg! make sure you eat at Tequila Rose, its just down the road from Williamsburg pottery. Such yummy Mexican food--my BF and I STILL talk about it years later. Probably one of the best meals of our lives! And if you do go to Wmsbrg pottery, don't forget to get peanuts! They sell them by the sack and are so so yummy.

i'll cross my fingers for great weather for you! Be safe and enjoy!

woo-hoo on the plumber! I'll cross my fingers that he's good looking too!

Great pics Kitty!!! From the smile on your face I can tell you had a MAGICAL time. :thumbsup2

OK, OK, lets just settle down now girls! No my doctors are not hotties. Nice, but not hot. I am very hopeful that this will be my last visit to that hospital. I HATE it there! Think downtown Newark, NJ, and all its associated lovliness. In any event, my tummy seems to be smaller...

I DO have the other knee replacement to look forward to in October, of course. At least that is in a decent hospital!

MK, I love the pix!!

A good plumber is hard to find, but when you do, hold on tight! Worth their weight in gold! I am happy to say I have a very good one.

I live about an hour from AC. So...if you can get to AC, you could drive to my house and I would drive to Hershey! How does that sound??

We are being invaded by tiny ants. First we had them in the playroom. Put down ant traps, and the exterminater put down stuff, and they went away. Now they are all over the laundry room, mudroom, and storage closet. so we put down more traps and sprayed. I hate that smell! Exterminator is coming tomorrow afternoon, so I have to deal with it until then. Yuck. I hate ants becuase they are a nuisance, but at least they arent scary!

Kinda grey and gloomy here today, but it is up to almost 70 so I wont complain.

Mom is doing well at rehab. Dad says they told her she will go home NEXT Friday. She gets a longer stay than I do becuase I am in such great shape!:lmao: Im just glad she is doing well. And Dad got the ok to "start swinging a golf club", so he went out back this morning and did just that. I know how happy that makes him!

Guess I will go make me some lunch...

Hello ladies!

I have a quick question. What are the dates of the TKer Hershey meet? I was talking to Sukie about it and we couldn't remember.

After AC you can do DC. We'll be there too.
Hope you can make it.

DC is fun! I like to ride the choo choo (what I call the metro ha ha) Our HQ is in the DC area and they all know that when Mimi comes someone has to take her to ride the choo choo train (ha ha. I grew on them lol)

I thought Simon liked Danny too. But like I said, Danny will do great and do it his way.
They do bus trips to AC from here just about every day but not the other way...gamblers don't need anymore thrills I guess.

I am going to miss Danny. I liked him. Adam not so much but he is okay.

We have AC bus trips, but it takes so long. lol.

Slightly O/T: This trip the first week in June will be our first trip without my Dad (remember it was always me, my mom and my dad to AC) My DS is going with us this time. He is excited because he just turned 21, so I am hoping the trip won't have too sad of a feel. My Mom needs this trip though, and this is where she wanted to go...we really need to work on our slot machine addiction ha ha.

Hey girls! Sorry to hear that Danny got booted. I didn't watch it tonight, I was completely lost with Lost. It was the season finale.

M&N...how far is Harrisburg from Hershey? I just went on Priceline and they're offering crazy cheap hotels. There's one in central Harrisburg, 3 1/2 stars for $59/night! I'm just giddy thinking about a 3 1/2 star hotel--I never get to stay in nice places like that! But if its too far, then I may have to pass on it...and thinking about my nephew (oops, who will be 12 by then), it may not be the kind of place for him....

Sorry, M&N...I don't know any plumbers. I'll be sending good vibes that the tub decides to behave itself and stop running. have a safe trip this weekend and enjoy!

I finally got my Photopass pics uploaded! Between the five of us, we had 3 cards and 330 pics to go through! I also had nearly 150 pics on my own camera. I will admit, I took pics with some characters I don't remember the names of! And the flower fest pics do not do the topiaries justice.

have a good night everyone! Just wanted to drop in one more time before I hit the sack!

Hey!! I loved your pics...got some more to share?

Ok, looked it up quick....Harrisburg to Hershey, according to yahoo.maps is 21 minutes. Give me a couple of ideas of what hotels and I'll give you a more exact time and distance.

M&N, exactly how far are you from 1) Hershey Park, in time? 2) from the KOA campsite that D&D and I talked about?

Magikitty, is your nephew going to worry about the hotel or the park, rides and all the exciting things he's gonna want to do? I bet by the time you get to the hotel at night, he's gonna pass out on the first available bed. I know mine do no matter where we are.

pepper, do ya think you can stay over night at Hershey and then hop a bus back to AC the next day? Let us know what you are thinking and we'll try to come up with something. Would love it if you could make it too. :yay:

Yea, I will probably stay overnight. It won't be an issue if DH comes, but I doubt he can because he is the new guy at work Maybe me and DD will just make the drive. I am a bit of a baby lol. I never drive on the trips, but I guess I should start getting used to it...for goodness sakes I am 40 years old ha ha... Do you guys like how I am "think typing" :rotfl:. Kinda like thinking out loud, but typing it...scary!!! :scared1:

The weekend of July 17-20

thankyou[1].gif

Not far from 1500!

I love the pics Magikitty! My kids will freak if we ever get to Universal and they can get their picture taken with Homer and Marge.

Pepper: I think your upcoming trip to AC will be a little sad with memories of your Dad but having your DS along will help to make new memories and you can share your "Dad" memories with him. Remember that time.......

whgrn: I don't think I've ever had a hottie for a Dr. I'm not sure if I'd want one looking at my woo-hoo or my hoo-hahs!

M&N: Did the plumber show?

racetrack:
hug2.gif

Hey racetrack, have you been watching Hell's Kitchen? I think the last two are the right choice but I hope that Paula gets it. Who is your choice?

Anyone here watch House? I haven't been able to watch it for a while but have been DVRing it. Boy did I get the shock of the season when I watched and episode over the weekend. One of the main characters was killed off!(Whited out to protect the "Have not seens")

Good evening all.

Just a few days away from here and boy did I miss the best news.

LITC~ Two special someones were very good this year. pixiedust: Congrats on the new little one.

MK~ Your pictures make me "homesick".

whgrn~ No more "doctors" for any of your family! Except for the those on TV. :lmao:

:wave2: Hi to everyone else.

Hey everyone!! DH finally made it home today but much later that we thought he would. He had to fly from New Orleans to Detroit and change planes. The plane in Detroit had problems with its navigational system. So the flight was delayed while the repaired/replaced the system. When it finally all fixed and ready to go, they were delayed again because of high winds. They finally make it to Philly and have to circle the airport because there's too much traffic. So his little hour or so flight from Detroit ended up taking over 5 hours. And he wonders why I don't want to fly.

CONGRATS ON 1500 PIKESTER

I'm sorry I missed it.

And I watched Hell's Kitchen for the whole season. I totally agreed with the last 2 chefs. And I want Danny to win. I don't know if anyone else watches so highlight to read I really didn't think Danny would win. When he ran the kitchen in the previous week, he didn't seem have enough oommph to run a kitchen. But he proved me wrong and I couldn't be happier he won.

pepper, I'm sure your trip to AC will have its sad moments but try to think of you dad smiling down at you starting a new tradition with your son. You and and your mom can show him the ropes and share all the good memories you had with your dad. Try to look back on those times with smiles and not tears, though I know it will be hard. Big hugs to you, your mom and all your family. :grouphug:

On another note....you're coming to the meet?!!!! Woohoo!!!! :woohoo: Since you are such a baby (your words not mine :rotfl2:) when it comes to driving, maybe you can drive to whgrn's and follow her up?

whgrn, I'm glad your mom is doing much better. And your dad too. Ants are the absolute worst. We used to get them over at my parents house. The hours we would spend cleaning and disinfecting.....uuugghh! I feel for ya.

I know I'm forgetting people so I'll just give a big ol' HI!!!!

Catch ya'll tomorrow!!!

Morning all:

Feeling better today...off to the nursery after lunch to get a few hanging baskets before they get all picked over. It's Victoria Day on Monday so we get a long weekend. :cool1: (it's suppose to be the start of our summer...to bad it's not a little warmer!!)

Congrats Pike on making 1500!!

Hey Sukie...nice to hear from you.

Wendy hope you're felling better soon.

:hug:Pepper...I always find it hardest when I do something that I use to always do with my Dad.

Good Morning

Planting and trying to kill the dandelions that have invaded my lawn. :headache: Where do they all come from? Now I hear that we might get frost this weekend. NO! NO! NO! It is almost summer. NO MORE FROST. Ugh!

We've been looking to get a new van since our 1998 has seen better days. Gosh, are they expensive. We buy used and they are STILL expensive. After not having car payments for years, I just can't justify this but know it has to be done. Otherwise we may never make it to Hershey this summer.
If anyone has any suggestions, let me know.

Pepper - on coming to Hershey this summer. You're not the only 40yr old baby. Don't know if I'd drive too far by myself either.

Pikester - congrats on 1500:cool1:
Pikester & Sukie - Are you thinking of joining us at Hershey????:car:

Anyone else??? It's going to be a party:

whgrn: I don't think I've ever had a hottie for a Dr. I'm not sure if I'd want one looking at my woo-hoo or my hoo-hahs!

:lmao: Believe me, all sense of modesty left me about 15 or 20 surgeries ago! i have had every inch of my poor body probed, poked, prodded, and assessed. I have no modesty at all when it comes to medical stuff. Funny, though, I wont wear a low cut top...

Go for a Toyota Sienna. You just cant beat them! Even used, they are awesome. my sister had hers for 8 years and loved it until the last.

Well, my fever has dropped down to 99.8 this morning. I slept very very well last night. I have a call into my surgeon, but he is in a conference, so I may not hear from him until the afternoon. I talked to my Dad this morning and he is feeling OK, but he always feels good for a few hours after he takes his medicine. He is at PT right now, and will call his kidney doc when he gets home (He didnt want to call before PT in case the doc said "come in right now", and then he would have missed PT)

My family is falling apart at the seams! Its a tough week to be a Harmon.

Evening!!! Had a totally beautiful day here even if the temps weren't as hot as I really like them.

whgrn, did you hear back from surgeon? Update please.

D&D, we have a 2005 Grand Caravan. It's nice and I like it. It has the stow n go seats which is pretty great depending of what we are doing. If we need the extra room to bring something home, fold the seats down into the floor and you have more room than you can imagine. It also has captain chairs in the middle which is a definite plus with the kids. Gives then their own space and they are less likely to annoy each other. Ok, it doesn't really work out that way but it's a nice thought. :rotfl2:

After saying all that, I would trade our van in in an instant for a Sienna. I really like that you can get the optional 8th seat. Of course I have more kids than you but for us that would really come in handy. Plus I have never heard anybody complain about their Sienna. Good luck with your decision.

Ev, so glad you are feeling better. What's new up your way? When does school end for the kids.

Ok, now where the heck is everyone!!!!

Hi lighttech, M&N, pepperw23, BKMETV, Pikester, and Sukie!

MagiKitty, I loved your pictures! It looks like you were having a wonderful time. I can't wait to see some of the characters that they never have out at Disneyland.
Speaking of characters.... I asked DD today if she had to choose just one character to see who she would pick. Her choice is Sleeping Beauty aka Princess Aurora. So.... what's everyone's opinion on the best place to meet up with her? I'm considering Akershus and, of course, there's the possibility of CRT but honestly their menus don't really appeal to me very much. Can anyone convince me that they are really worth it? If not, I am thinking DD may just get to make do with finding Aurora at one of the character spots. I'd LOVE to take her to the tea party but good grief $250 seems pretty steep to me. Anybody done that one?

racetrack18kb, I am glad your DH is home so you can get some good sleep. Must be nice.... I am just the opposite... My DH snores so loud I sleep with my DD just so I can get some sleep!
Your youngest sounds like mine.... quite the talker. Mine never meets a stranger... and she seldom ever stops talking.
Thanks for asking about my trip plans. They are coming together... well, sort of.... I learn something new everyday so I either add something, take off something or change something.
I did find a better deal on a rental car if I can convince DH that Dollar is as good as Enterprise. He thinks the name makes them sound less than desirable. Anyone used Dollar before? I have read only good about them and I did like the fact that they were in the airport terminal instead of having to take a shuttle.

whgrn, I feel for you. We have the ant invasion almost every year. Thankfully it only usually last a week. I don't suppose they really hurt but yeah, they are really annoying!
I am with you on the lack of modesty. After childbirth who the heck cares anymore? Actually, I think I gave mine up even before that.... I can't even remember the number of times I was asked if a student could come in and "observe" while I was having my annual exam done. I have certainly made my contribution to science! I am with you though. Doctors get stuck seeing everything but outside of his office I try to keep this poor old bod all to myself. No use torturing innocent bystanders!

D&DDisney, I just got through doing the battle of the dandelions here myself. I suppose it would be so much easier to put out some weed and feed but I have flowers on the edge of the lawn and don't want it out until after they bloom so I just keep digging and pulling. At least our front yard looks pretty good but the back is pretty near one giant dandelion patch!
We bit the bullet and bought a new truck this year too. I really enjoyed not having car payments but we had to get something for my DS. I hope you find just what you are looking for without having to pay an arm and a leg or an entire body!

Morning all:

It's a holiday weekend so of course it is cold and raining. Suppose to have sun tomorrow & Monday but still be cold...D&D does the rain let up?? I'm just glad I'm not one of the poor soul camping this weekend.

Evening!!! Had a totally beautiful day here even if the temps weren't as hot as I really like them.

Ev, so glad you are feeling better. What's new up your way? When does school end for the kids.

Ok, now where the heck is everyone!!!!

I have a Sienna as well, with the captain seats...mind you lately I separate the kids into different rows because they fight when they're side by side. And with the leather seats and sunroof open, I can pretend I'm not driving a mommy-mobile.

Not much happening here...no plans for the weekend, we'll probably go to friend's for dinner, that's about it.

Kid's are in school here until June 25th...but we don't go back until Sept 8th because Labour Day weekend is late this year...do you get labour day in the U.S.? I can't remember.
