Night Pikester!!!!

And if I don't catch ya tomorrow, have a wonderful and happy Mother's Day!!!

Sukie, you have a great Mother's Day too. And make sure you keep Pikester in line tomorrow when you see her. :rotfl2:

My first choice was the "Disney cruise" and boy did I get a surprise. I thought with these trying times we would be able to get a great deal. Over $4000.00 and that was no air fare. DH did't go for that at all. Then I suggested a four day one. "No go" on that one either. For that price we could go seven days on RCCL. I do see that this cruise line is offering a deal on booking a few days on the ship and a few days at Universal Studios. Maybe by the time you decide on a cruise that might fit into your plans.

I'm not hiding, I have just been running back and forth to NYC. Mom had her knee replacement yesterday, so i went up with Mom and Dad Thursday night, was there yesterday, and then went back up today to get her all settled in her room (they kept her in recovery for a little over 24 hours becuase she has heart problems and they needed to monitor her). she is doing GREAT!:worship::worship: Thank you God!

She got out of bed twice today with PT and can take a few steps with the walker. Pain has not been too bad. Hopefully she will move to rehab on Monday afternoon, and I can take the kids over to visit her then. The hospital doesnt allow kids under 14, so we wont be going up tomorrow.

I am not sure, but I think the ex just blew off Mothers Day this year, so I am not expecting anything from the kids. In all honesty, a day of good behavior and no fighting would mean alot more to me than any gift!!

Sukie, I am so envious of your cruise! I just love crusing, and havent been in a good while. I think our last cruise was 2005. Big family vacations are getting to be impossible with DSis's family living in Turkey, and her oldest will be a senior next year, so their time here in the summer is spent looking at colleges, or going to camp where they speak English and prepare for the TOEFL or SAT or whatever. I miss those trips. Also, Mom and Dad are getting older, and it has been so hard for Mom to get around. Hopefully that will improve after this surgery.

Well, i should go to bed. 8:15 am comes way to early for me!!

Happy Mothers Day all (sorry, my smiley links are all on my other computer!!)

Hi everyone! Sorry I have been away, I am not sure why...I guess because most of you are on facebook anyway. :rotfl: Racerchicky reminded me to pop in with a subtle hint. :rotfl:

Speaking of Racerchicky, I forgot the 13th is our company picnic at Busch Gardens (they even pay for it woo hoo). Soooo, we could meet Sunday morning if you want, or you can come to the company picnic. Guests are 39.95 (I will get the under 14 price for you if you want it) and it includes the picnic lunch. Let me know if so because we have to pay for your tickets in advance, so we would have to figure all that out (don't worry I am honest lol).

So can someone give me the cliff notes version of what has been going on around here? anyone? I miss you guys. Sometimes it is hard for me to get on the computer after work, and getting on at work has become impossible! One thing about Facebook is it comes right to my email ha ha. So I just click it and reply. :rolleyes1 Who will know the difference right?

Oh and HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!!!!!! :flower3::flower3::flower3::flower3::flower3::flower3::flower3::flower3:

Oh pepper, that's so sweet of you to offer about Busch Gardens. But after quite a few days at Universal, I don't think we'll be up to another day at a park. Though if this a yearly with your company, I would love to come next year when we have to vacation "up north". Boy, does that sound funny. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Sunday morning sounds great for a meet. Just not too early...I'm using this vacation to sleep in as much as I can. :lmao:

I don't thing too much has been going on around here. MagiKitty and LITC are in WDW. They were suppose to have a meet last Friday, I think. End of the school year is always busy, busy, busy for me. And it seems to be the case with a lot of us. Plus a lot of us are finally getting some good weather and are enjoying that.

We do have a tker meet planned for Hershey in July. D&DDisney is vacationing out in PA and we are getting together on the 19th. I'm even going to camp. :scared1::rotfl2:

I'm sure someone else will chime in with more specifics.

Happy Mother's Day Ladies!!

Having a great day so far...had a wonderful breakfast (the kids wanted me to eat it in bed but I decide the table was a better idea)

My mom and MIL are both coming for dinner so I made spaghetti sauce yesterday...I figure Tod can handle boiling pasta and cutting bread...he can go buy a MOM cake for dessert. Unfortunately it's rainy and pretty cold here today so we're stuck in the house.

NASCAR driver for the #9 Budweiser car.

Quite the cutie...may have to check out NASCAR more closely!! ;)

Male or Female?

You might not have known this, but a lot of non-living objects are actually either male or female. Here are some examples:

FREEZER BAGS: They are male, because they hold everything in, but you can see right through them.

PHOTOCOPIERS: These are female, because once turned off; it takes a while to warm them up again.

They are an effective reproductive device if the right buttons are pushed, but can also wreak havoc if you push the wrong buttons.

TIRES: Tires are male, because they go bald easily and are often over inflated.

HOT AIR BALLOONS: Also a male object, because to get them to go anywhere, you have to light a fire under their butt.

SPONGES: These are female, because they are soft, squeezable and retain water.

WEB PAGES: Female, because they're constantly being looked at and frequently getting hit on.

TRAINS: Definitely male, because they always use the same old lines for picking up people.

EGG TIMERS: Egg timers are female because, over time, all the weight shifts to the bottom.

HAMMERS: Male, because in the last 5000 years, they've hardly changed at all, and are occasionally handy to have around.

THE REMOTE CONTROL: Female. Ha! You probably thought it would be male, but consider this: It easily gives a man pleasure, he'd be lost without it, and while he doesn't always know which buttons to push, he just keeps trying.

 Good morning all you great "MOMS".

We have been doing chores this morning. Our moms will be getting their gifts later in the day. DH's mom wants "dirt" because she is doing a raised garden. My mom like's to get a good deal on flowers amd veggie plants so cash it is.

Pikester is taking me to our Opera House for a presentation of "Guys and Dolls" and all of the talent is local. The director does a good job at getting everyone to do their best. He is the same one that did all of the plays when I was in high school. This is the finel performance so I am sure they will be more relaxed and will give it all they got.

whgrn~ Glad to hear your mom is doing great. This will be our 2nd cruise, our last one was over ten years ago.

BKMETV~ That was a good one. Everyone needs a morning "giggle" now and then.

Got to get back to doing chores.

All you have a great and safe moms day.

chat later.

Happy Mother's Day All! And YES that includes anyone who "mothers" another - like animals, spouses, friends, etc.
I just received the cutest poem from my DS7 in a frame. :lovestruc It just doesn't get any better than homemade gifts from the kids. :cloud9:

D&D, have to pop in here quick just for you. I got max points in qualifying this week. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::cool1::cool1::cool1:

You'll probably still kick my butt in the end though. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Good luck tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!
You did ROCK on those qualifying points. :thumbsup2 and I was a little jealous until I saw the final points today. I moved up to 2nd place. Couldn't believe it since I picked some obscure people this week. Wasn't expecting that at all. Suppose you're never going to want to camp with us now?

I will say this though, Kasey Kahne is so HOT!!!!! Do you think he's into older women who don't exercise, like to eat and who don't have perky anything?
:rotfl2::rotfl2:I love it. :rotfl2::rotfl2: If he is into this, does he have friends?

racetrack~ Thanks for asking. This cruise will sail to the "Western Caribbean". We will be sailing with the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line on Aug.2-9th. Our ship is the "Freedom of the Seas". So far all of plans are on schedule. The waiting is the hardest.
Congrats on the cruise! What fun that will be!!!!:boat:

Happy Mothers Day all. As I suspected, the ex totally bagged until the last minute. So instead of taking the kids to get cards and a gift, he showed up today with some anemic roses and 2 unsigned cards. I honestly dont think he even picked them out--when DS asked which card was from him, the ex said, you guys can decide. Well, duh! One of the cards was "from your daughter"!!! Maybe wife #3 did the card shopping? Whatever.:confused3 DS did make me a card this morning which I loved. That meant ALOT more to me than the ones the ex got! I know, I shouldnt sound so ungrateful, but he is a jerk!

DS's big gift to me was to get his hair cut! He was really starting to look like a sheepdog, and I told him he had to get a trim. So in church this morning he announced that he was tired of long hair and wanted it cut short. I wasnt waiting around for him to change his mind--we went right after church! He looks adorable now with the short cut. DD got hers trimmed, and got a lecture from the stylist about the importance of brushing her hair thoroughly. Hmmm, I seem to recall someone else telling her that same thing...EVERY DAY!! But does she listen to me? Of course not!:lmao:

We are ordering in for dinner. No way would I try to go out on Mothers Day. So meatball parm subs all around. Woohoo!!!

Hope you all had a great day with your families. I talked to Mom and she is doing well. Hopefully she will move to rehab tomorrow and we can go see her.

Good afternoon everyone! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

My day has been basically routine.

We barely made it to church on time this morning. DH was threatening the entire time to turn around and go home because he didn't want to walk in late in front of everyone. I figure better a few minutes late than not there at all. We did ended up walking in in front of everyone after they had already started talking but he somehow managed to live through it. A pretty good Mother's Day sermon. However, I did come home thinking I've got a lot to work on to live up to the expectations of mothers in the Bible. At least DH was kind enough to say that he thought I lived up to the part very well so that made me feel good.

So after church we drove into town, an hour away, to take DS to one of the other Jiu-Jitsu classes.... which ended up being closed for Mother's Day. Oh well. Just a long Sunday drive....

DH got me a wonderful card that hit right on about family. DD made me a beautiful card complete with her art work and a poem. And, even DS gave me a card to which he actually signed "I love you, Mom". Doesn't get much better than that! They did throw in a couple boxes of nice fattening chocolate.... so much for the progress I was trying to make on my diet..... WTH, I'm feeling bloated today anyway!

DH brought is supper last night which was supposed to be for my mother's day meal from a new place which ended up being less than stellar and gave us all indigestion so he is bringing in Taco Bell tonight to make up for it. Honestly, we all love TB and even it will be an improvement! And at least I don't have to cook!

Right now I am trying to get rid of the headache I have had all day. At least the kids are not fighting at the moment. I have been cold all day long so I finally gave up and put on one of my Mickey fleece hoodies. Hope I am not coming down with something. Anyway..... I've been thinking.... while today has been riddled with the mundane, a few discomforts, some gripey family members and spent wasting time.... I am still so lucky to be a mother and I can't think of a better way I could have spent my day. I was with my family and that is all that matters. God is good and has blessed me so much.

I'm back and I've missed you all so much! I'm sorry its taken me so long to get back here, I've been back a week and have just been overwhelmed. But I couldn't let Mother's Day go by without a special best wishes for everyone out there!

Secondly, thank you so so much M&N for the information. Its very exciting and very difficult figuring out what I want to do--I never realized how interesting the area is. I'll have to do more research and of course seek your advice.

I met LITC when I was in Florida! (has she come by yet???) I met LITC and her husband in China in Epcot. What wonderful, kind, funny people they are! We hit it off right away and practically chatted all through Illuminations. It was wonderful!

Ok, so now I have to go back and play catch up on everything here....I don't even remember what page we were on when I left!

big hugs everyone and hope everyone has been doing well and feeling great. I've missed you all!

Pinched for time as usual, but I couldn't let today go by w/o wishing all my DIS friends a Happy Mommy's Day!!! (Those who mommy kids AND little furry versions too!)

Not much exciting for me here today. DH got around to taking DS out to buy a card and present this morning... better late than never! :rotfl: DS was very sweet, and remembered to say "Happy Mommy Day" first thing this morning. He looked so serious, I asked him if he had been trying very hard to remember to do that, and he just nodded solemnly. Made me warm and fuzzy all over. :goodvibes

We did get to go out to a nice late lunch w/ DM, MIL and GrandMIL (and some other family members.) Now, I'm ready for a good nights sleep. I have a lot to do tomorrow to catch up from all the chores I skipped today! (Somehow it doesn't quite equate to a day off... just a busy Monday! :lmao:But, I'm not complaining... DH did very nicely force me to sit down and get out of the kitchen, and he is putting away the dishes, and I am getting a little pre-bed DIS time. And, most of all, I'm just so blessed to be celebrating Mother's day w/ my two little ones. (and DH too!) :cutie:

Good Monday morning everyone! I think everything may be under control and I'll be getting back to my usual schedule. I hope, anyway. Didn't have time to go through all the pages yet, but will probably do it sometime soon.

Putting off uploading all my Photopass pics. Finding characters was clearly the biggest hit for my nieces. I think we found almost everyone--and that's a lot of pictures to go through! We also managed to do things I've never done before, so that was a thrill for me. Finally got to see the candy lady in Japan--Miyuki--and she made a penguin for my youngest niece. Also saw DeVine twice at Animal kingdom. And my thrill gene has returned! Went on Tower of Terror and Rock n Roller Coaster!

I am also the proud new owner of an Annual Pass. Lucked out the first night--MK was open until midnight and we went after 7 to see Spectromagic and get some rides in. When we pulled up to pay for parking, there was no one there! So I saved $12 on parking the first night, went to Customer relations and upgraded my 7 day plus pass for $33 to an AP! Very cool to think about my September trip and not having to account for tickets again. Plus, I can use the AP to get discounted MNSSHP tix!

Ok, back to trying to play catch up with everything. TTYL!

Welcome Back MK

Glad to hear your meet was good...we were getting worried that neither of you were coming back from WDW. :rotfl:

I suck at summaries but from what I can recall M&N & Racer are still arguing NASCAR, Wendy's mom just had knee surgery, Racer & pepper are planning a get together, Pike has a thing for young racecar drivers, everyone had a good mom's day...and at times the weather sucked everywhere...mind you I won that one when it snowed at the wedding I was at last weekend.

Great summary EV but you forgot that Sukie's got spies everywhere and Pikester can't get away with anything!

Welcome back Kitty. It was also great hearing for so many on MDay! It seemed to be important to touch base with our friends here while celebrating a very important day. It is a warm fuzzy when you get just an acknowlegement of caring from the kids...whatever that is. Sounds like there are some pretty special kids (and moms) out there! I'm not a mom to kids or animals but I still enjoy the day...being a daughter is getting to be a more important and harder job as mom's get older.

My Mom seemed to enjoy her weekend. She woke up Friday and could not hear out of her 'good' ear. She's got nerve damage in one. She was very upset. And that's not really like her. She got an appointment for this am and it was wax. The dr told her she needed to go back in 6 mo to have it cleaned out again just to keep an eye on it. I think that made more of a difference than anything. I'm not sure how to explain it but I think as she gets older, she needs to know that someone's watching out for her. :confused3 She was all smiles when she left.

Somehow I still find it hard to see Kasey Kahne in that red Bud car. He is a cutie though. I think I'm going to go with Brad Keselowski when he goes full time in Sprint Cup. I guess I can't turn my back on Jr completely but he's sure messing it up this year. :upsidedow

Kitty's back!!!!!!!

Can't wait to hear all about your trip!popcorn::

Not much exciting for me here today. DH got around to taking DS out to buy a card and present this morning... better late than never! :rotfl: DS was very sweet, and remembered to say "Happy Mommy Day" first thing this morning.:love::love: How sweet is that??? I felt the same way when DS presented me with a handmade card. Gotta love that 'from the heart' stuff.

Mom is now at rehab. Wooohooo! We will go see her this evening after DS's guitar lesson.

I have to be at the hospital at 5:45 am tomorrow. It takes 45 minutes, especially at that hour with no traffic. I said we should leave at 4:45, giving us time to get up to preop. My BFF wants to leave at 3:30!!!! She says there is lots of traffic at that hour.:confused3:confused3 I said i could push it to 4:30 if that would make her happy, and she says 4 at the latest. We are gonna have to sit there for an hour before they even open up!! Plus, that means my kids will be here alone for almost 4 hours--3 of them while they are asleep! I am not really comfortable with that, but I cant exactly tell the sitter, oh, I need you here at 4 am!! I love my BFF dearly, but sometimes she just makes me crazy!

Hi all,
Having a nice day-after-mother's-day here. Quite house, favorite lunch and relaxing. :cloud9: Kids were so great yesterday. Love their homemade stuff!

Welcome back Kitty! Sounds like you had a really fun trip.

Ev - Good summary! :thumbsup2

You're doing a great job at that! Mom has one great daughter! :thumbsup2

Whgrn- glad mom is in rehab now. :woohoo: Go Whgrn's mom!!!

Hey everyone! We are back home, (sad). Will get more into everything this week, but wanted to at least check in and say Hi to you all. Missed everybody. We had a great time though, and I was thrilled to meet Magikitty. I've never been able to feel so comfortable with someone so fast. She is AWESOME!!!
I also have some other news for you all.....

OOOOOOOHHH!! We're gonna have another TKer baby!!!!:cool1:

Congrats LITC and family!!
