I see only 2 other Tkers have been around today. Everyone else has probably been out and enjoying the nice weather, I know I have! It was rainy here this morning but this afternoon turned warm and sunny. We just had a T-storm go through so now it's cooled down but the warmth was great while it lasted.

I didn't to too much today. DH took DS11 to a Karate Tournament today. DS11 placed 2nd in Kumite and 3rd in Kata! DH said that he had some stiff competition. We are very proud! After the tournament was over they went our for lunch and then went to a park that has lots of mountain bike trails and spent till 4PM riding those. They didn't get home until 5:30PM or so. DS8 and I spent most of the day at home but we did go out and do a little shopping. I bought an outdoor end table for my resin "wicker" looking couch that is on our front porch. I also found a really nice pair of black Merrell sandals to wear with my school clothes. All I need now is a brown sandal and I'll be all set for the rest of the school year. Lets see, what else did I do.....Oh yeah, I stitched some ties onto some outdoor cushions (Why don't they just coming with ties? ) that I bought to replace the old nasty ones on my bistro chairs that are on my front porch. They look really nice if I do say so myself! DH, DS8 and I went to Home Depot last night and picked up my new Bistro Set that I wanted. It was on sale and looks great on the opposite end of the porch from my older Bistro set. Yes, my front porch is pretty big. I love to sit out there on a warm evening and listen to the Peepers while watching the moon come up. I also did a couple loads of laundry and cleaned out a couple of cupboards looking for stuff for my yard sale that is next weekend. I always leave it to the last minute because who wants all that crap hanging around the house out in the open.

Nothing planned for this eveing. DH will probably be watching the NASCAR race so I'll be bored and either watch a movie down in the basement, read a book or fool around on the computer. Haven't decided yet.

I will say this though, Kasey Kahne is so HOT!!!!! Do you think he's into older women who don't exercise, like to eat and who don't have perky anything?

I'm sure he does as Kasey was on the screen and I said Wow! He is such a hottie! He is definitely a "no beer" guy! (The same as when a guy sees a girl and says how many beers it would take before they would "you know") No beer goggles needed!

Shhhh...Don't tell my Mom I just said that.

My kids are in the bedroom with poster board and are suppose to be making me something for Mother's day. I can't even imagine what they are gonna do. Or the mess they are going to make.

My DS11 informed this evening that he had made me a Mother's Day card but had forgot it at school. I told him he could just give it to me on Monday. I all ready made him cry when he asked me if I liked my eggs scrambled and I told him what I would really like was some pancakes. I guess he was upset because he knows how to make scrambled eggs but not pancakes. I tried to show him that I had one of those pancake mixes that you just add water, shake and pour but he wanted no part of it. I told him I would LOVE scrambled eggs and bacon. So, I will buy some bacon when I go grocery shopping in the morning.

Boys! They are just as emotional as girls sometimes.

DS8 came home from school on Friday and gave me his gift of a tree branch with tissue paper wads stuck all over it. I guess it's suppose to look like blossums or something.

Sukie is very serious when she says she has spies everywhere! I couldn't get away with anything when I was a teenager. And if I thought I got away with something it's just because my parents didn't think it important enough to confront me with it.

I use to get so mad at my parents for knowing everything. And I could never figure out how they would know things.

But I have my own spies now. And now it makes my kids mad when I know everything that they do.

My kids get so mad at me when I confront them about lying. They both have "tells" that show when they are lying to me. It makes me laugh everytime!

Yep, all my kids have those little telling signs when they are lying. Makes that part of my job easier.

Sukie, I know you've posted about the cruise before so forgive me for asking....what kind of cruise are you taking?

racetrack~ Thanks for asking.This cruise will sail to the "Western Caribbean". We will be sailing with the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line on Aug.2-9th. Our ship is the "Freedom of the Seas". So far all of plans are on schedule. The waiting is the hardest.

I would so love to take a cruise. We talked about taking on this year but Universal won out. Maybe one year soon especially now that the kids are getting older. But not a Disney cruise. As great as they seem to be, they certainly are expensive.

I couldn't believe how expensive a Disney Cruise is! I was helping my Mom go over all the information and looking at differnet websites. A Disney Cruise plus flights is double what a cruise on the other popular crusie lines is.

Well, I'm off to bed. Need my beauty sleep for Mother's Day tomorrow. Can't be looking all tired and haggard! You know, like a MOM.
