OK, well, I'm tired of talking to myself... on the computer... I'll go talk to myself in person instead! :rotfl:
Have a good day everybody.

Happy Sunday everyone! Its freakishly warm outside, somewhere in the mid-50s. I'm going to take advantage of it and run errands, before the cold front come through in a few days.

Lighttech...congrats on BL's speedy recovery and thank DS for all the wonderful smilies!

mariezp...congrats on getting through all the obligations. Just smile and count the minutes til its over!

D&D...free December admissions! Woo-hoo!

I haven't ventured to the mall yet, am planning to sometime later this week. Little nephew asked for a particular game that has been backordered, so we're going to go hunt for it. Hoping just to find some cheap holiday wrapping stuff, and some of those Hershey Kisses! I'm a year-round clearance girl myself, I like to look for at least 75% off! Kohls is usually pretty good about getting down to even 90% and Target too. I've read that Steve and Barrys are closing, I'd like to go and get some sweatpants there for cheap.

I have to venture to Home Depot today. I'm trying to get my strength up for it. That store just sucks the lifeblood out of me! I try to go in with a snack, my MP3 player and hope for the best. I need to find an alarm system, smoke alarms, and carbon monoxide detectors for the new house. Wish me luck. And if I dont come back, I'm lost somewhere in the plumbing aisle!

Happy Day everyone! Don't forget its Disney sunday on TCM! The Shaggy Dog and Love Bug movies are on today!

Lighttech So glad BL is feeling better. I'm sure he's glad you don't want to take a rectal temp also. :rotfl:
We still have a little snow left over (on the north side of objects). This doesn't happen very often, it usually melts by mid day. :)

Afternoon!!! DH just left to go back to Boston today. He should only be gone 2 or 3 days so it shouldn't be so bad.

Kids are loving the Wii. Even DS who hasn't been allowed to play video games in our house for over a year. He's been moved back in since the first weekend of December and things have been good. He's been trying and so have we. Maybe living with his mom wasn't all that he thought it would be.

lighttech, glad BL is feeling much better. DH may have a problem with finding the milk but he won't leave a little in the container. He does that with ice tea. He only drinks raspberry tea and at any given time, there are at least 3 half gallons in the fridge, opened, with a 1/2 cup in each. If the container has been sitting there for more than 3 days, he won't use it because he's "not sure if it's still good" Geesh, it's only ice tea and it's in the fridge. What could happen to it? :rotfl:

No mall shopping for me. We did venture out to Barnes & Noble yesterday. The gift cards were burning a hole in pocket. I got 4 new books but I'm looking for someone new to read.

You know, that's really funny! My BF has the same issues with things being "spoiled" or "not fresh" too. He'll ask if leftovers from the night before is still good--its been in the fridge for less than 12 hours! I guess he hasn't grasped the concept of refrigeration yet...

Racetrack, its wonderful to hear that DS has moved back and is really making an effort to work with the rest of the family.

Morning all:

Well we had an interesting day yesterday...the power went out around 9am and stayed out until 6:30. Kid's survived with TV and the Wii playing mostly lego and board games. Ended up with the neighbours as well since they didn't have a fireplace...my livingroom is big but 10 people felt a little cramped. But we survived and today it's a beautiful sunny day.

Racer...I'm definitely checking out those sites...We watched Wishes several times...from a boat, Poly beach, Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridan and inside the park...have to say the best place was Poly beach. Sat on beach loungers with our hot chocolate...it was the best view.

Good morning friends! Much cooler than yesterday, but no snow in the immediate forecast, so I'm pretty happy.

Ev, sorry to hear about the power outage! Glad its come back on. I guess 10 persons were close quarters, but it sounds like there was plenty of room in your heart to open your home to your neighbors.

I've always wanted to watch Wishes from the Poly. I'm having serious pangs about an upcoming trip. We're booked on a bounceback, but part of me wants to hold out and see if they offer free dining in December again. That would be my perfect Disney fantasy! Throw in a few days at Universal to see Harry Potter....oh my. The only downside is having to wait a few months longer than planned to see Disney!

Have a good day everyone!

Morning everyone!! So here I am at the very last place I want to be....WORK!! ha ha. It is fairly quite (knock on wood) but all the engineers are here, so I am sure it won't last. Ugggg ha ha.

Looks like everyone had a super Christmas! Glad to see you finally got a break in the weather Magikitty. It was like summer here yesterday in the 70's. I opened all the windows...it was nice.

OOOH, I LOVE my crock pots. Yes, that's plural--I have 2! A big one and a small one. I use them both all the time. And yes, I get excited over weird things too. You'd be surprised at what excites me!:lmao:

If I was gonna have one piece of cardio equipment in my home, it would be an elliptical. I love that thing! Ah well, I'll just use the ones at the gym. Would be nice to have one here tho in case I can't get to the gym. Hmmmmm....

As far as where to start Pepper, here's what you need: http://www.sparkpeople.com It's a free website where you can track your food and fitness, learn all sorts of cool stuff, and they have great message boards for support. It's made a HUGE difference for me! You can follow their food plan or use your own. They focus on a healthy balance of carbs, fats and protein. Which, after all, really IS the best way to do it, since you can follow it for life. If you sign up, put me down as the person who referred you. WHGRN60 is my name there. And you will automatically be added as my "friend", and vice versa!

Today I feel like I have a food hangover. I didn't do too badly yesterday, but I just feel yucky. Like I can tell I had more sugar and fat than I usually do, so I'm sluggish, and have that odd feeling in my mouth. I also have NO desire to eat anything today! I haven't gotten to the gym yet (had to take DD to the eye doctor, and now my DBro is here fixing my DVD player, and BFF is coming so we can go to Target to activate the iTunes cards that the bimbo at the register didn't activate when I bought them.:headache: )

WooHoo!!! My brother got the DVD player fixed!!!:dance3: Now I can watch the DVDs of the series of shows from Scotland that my parents are passing on to me as they finish. It's called 'Monarch of the Glen'. Ahhhhh, Scottish accents and scenery! I'll be in heaven!!

Well, off to visit with DBro and BFF. Catch y'all later!

I think I signed up for Sparkpeople but it was still kinda new then. I am going to go look up my log in. Thanks! I gotta do something.

I love the elliptical too. It just makes me giggle. I feel like a lumbering elephant on it. Just swaying from side to side is just so funny to me.

Going out for drinks later with a girlfriend in town for the weekend. Its supposed to get slick later, and I"m praying that it holds out until after midnight. Its not often that I get to see her!

TTYL ladies!
Ha ha. Your elliptical comment cracked me up. Did you have fun with your friend?

Good Morning :wave2:
Just checking in from Tallahasse FL this morning. We are heading towards New Orleans today and will be there tonight. I really can't wait to be home-I miss Winkleman and my laptop:laughing: I am such a homebody. Plus, we have all our Christmas to do still and I wanna see my DM's face when she see the gift I got her.:rotfl:

We had a great time this trip and think we will have to cancel our June trip to go back again in December next year. We figure why leave a hot climate to go to another one and stand in lines:confused3 We never waited in a single line longer than 20 minutes at any ride and even got into the Rose and Crown for lunch (it was Boxing Day;) )with only a 20 minute wait.

Gotta get-they limit your time on the hotel internet.

More later.

Have a great day

I have always wanted to try Disney in Dec. The only downside for me though, would be the waterparks. Me and DD love Blizzard Beach.

OK, well, I'm tired of talking to myself... on the computer... I'll go talk to myself in person instead! :rotfl:
Have a good day everybody.

As long as you don't answer yourself ha ha. :rotfl2:

:rotfl2:
We watched Wishes from the Poly. Did you know that the music is played also? We discovered this by accident. :cool2:
BKMETV At least with 10 people body heat would help keep you all warm. :)

Morning!

Well the snow has all but melted away. We got some of that freakish warm weather here on Sat with rain and T-storms. Temps in 50s. Temps are back down today 30s but still feels warm compared to last week's below zero temps. I'll take this!

Pepper - sorry you have to work today. Check in when you can. We'll talk to ya.

Afternoon!!!

So happy that DS is doing better. I hope things have changed for the good now. :thumbsup2
:rotfl2: That's so funny about the iced tea. These same men concerned with spoilage are probably the guys who don't always wash hands after using the restroom either. Go figure. :lmao:

Yes!!!! Go for Disney in Dec. It was soooo beautiful there. It's only a few extra months to wait and it is well worth it.
DH wants to start planning our trip for next Dec. with the kids.
I'll be on the lookout for deals too.

Here's some more pics of our trip. Don't know if I'll have time to write an entire trip report, so I thought I'd share some highlights here with my TK friends.
We decided to upgrade to POR at the last minute, but still got an incredible deal on the rooms. Stayed in the Mansions. It was wonderful.

The grounds are beautiful there and the boat ride to DTD is relaxing.

Now this is a fun breakfast on your b-day. Even DH ordered one.

I don't know if anyone has seen these yet but 2 have have set up live webcams at Disney this week.

This one is live from the Poly beach and I think you can see Wishes later.

This other one will be showing holiday Wishes live from the park tomorrow.

It will be nice to relive a little bit of Disney while at home.

Thanks for sharing these links Racetrack.

Okay... Here's some more for ya Pepper.

The b-day girl and boy at the castle. DH would not wear a sash. :lmao: He didn't even want his b-day pin showing.
DSC01461.jpg

I didn't care. Just wanted to have some fun. I usually never want to draw attention to myself. I am actually very shy. But today, I wanted to try something different - and I was so glad I did. I had groups of strangers singing happy birthday to us on the bus, while in line for rides just because of the sash. Strangers even gave us Fastpasses because of the sash. It was so much fun.

Does this make anyone else want to join us in Dec. 09???

Afternoon!!! Isn't it time for the kids to go back to school yet? Oh, they are driving me crazy. :lmao: Yelling, screaming, jumping, running non-stop. Can't they ever just be tired and watch a movie?

D&DDisney, those pics are great. Shorts in December, how I wish. But considering the winters up your way, I bet it felt good.

I'm up for a meet in December. In fact, we hope to be moved down there by then.

pepper, sorry you have to work today.

Magikitty, with the way things are going, I think it's very likely that Disney will be offering many more deals throughout the year. You might have to wait a little longer but you will get the best of everything for your trip. What could be better than that?

Afternoon everyone!

Oh, D&D, those pictures are just gorgeous! And thanks for sharing POR--that is just beautiful! I want to stay there one day! Actually, I'd settle just for doing a tour of all the hotels. So far, we've been to Pop, GF, Poly, Wilderness Lodge, and and AKL. Was it decorated for the holidays in a special way? And you and your DH make an adorable couple.

I too am willing to wear anything silly at WDW. But then again, it doesn't take much for me to wear silly at any other time of the year also....:lmao:

I'm seriously going to talk to BF about moving the trip to late Nov/early December. I guess try to go during December, so I can at least get one day free on my birthday! Its just the weather thing....

Racetrack, when do the kids go back? Ours go back next Monday...but my SIL is complaining already. Its three times the amount of work feeding and cleaning after everyone!

Oh, car update. Went to visit my car because its been so long I don't remember what it looks like. Have an ETA of Friday. I can only hope the weather holds out!

Hello ladies!

Love the Disney pics D&D! Takes me back to a couple of weeks ago. It feels much longer, almost like I wasn't even there. Guess I need to look at my pictures again.

Magi: Got my fingers crossed for your car to be done on Friday.

racetrack: Haven't wished the kids back at school yet but there is always tomorrow. Of course DS11 is off on an adventure so DS7 has no one to fight,er, play with. I'm sure they will be "playing" really well tomorrow.

Hello to everyone else! I just wanted to stop in really quick but now I have to go get supper ready.

Have good evening!

Bless you D&D. It looks like you guys had a blast!!! My Dad refused to wear his birthday button after the first day. :rotfl2:

I didn't know you were moving down there! I wish I could, but with one already in school local and one starting next year I just don't think it is going to happen. Plus, I don't think our families would go for it ha ha. Me and my BIL, and fellow Disney addict, were talking the other day that we need to talk everyone in to moving then it would be a non issue! ha ha.

Magikitty, I still don't have my car back either? I guess we are being punished for breaking down over the holidays. My first problem was they could not figure out what was wrong, then they had to order a part, then there was no factory stock...arrgggg. I miss my van. :sad1:

okay, is it just me, or does this guy :guilty: look more sad than guilty? I always click him for sad.
