Well...I kind of wonder if some of those people would say that they are Proud to be an American. I am...no matter what and no matter who is President. Everyone I ever voted did not win...but that's the basis of democracy. In many countries, they would not be allowed to say what they have said about our leaders. And I think the way some on the DIS think is very evident in their put down of others. You can only have an opinion if it agrees with theirs. OK--I'll stop, step off the soapbox carefully...

I actually watched the inauguration, don't usually.

I enjoyed the inauguration also. It's also neat to see Chief Justice of SC blow his lines---I guess they make mistakes too! It is just wonderful to see democracy in action. Although I would not like to be in those 2 mill people. Much warmer to be in my house too!

I even watched some of the inauguration ceremonies....I couldn't believe the number of people in Washington...truly amazing. I have to say that it was the first time I'd heard Obama speak, and I thought he was great.

I have my laptop back and DH is in town so, I guess things are back to normal.
Trying to get DD into bed- that kid I swear I wanted her to bring down some laundry so she could have clean jeans to wear - Her closet has a 3 bin clothes sorter-sitting empty with a huge pile of clothes on the floor in front of it. For her sake they'd better be dirty clothes and not clean ones too. She has yet to get me the clothes.

Oh, the famous clothing and laundry battle. Guess I'm not the only one. DD12 has a whole pile of dirty clothes sitting 6 inches from her clothing hamper. Why aren't they in there? "I fooooorgot" How do you forget? Drives me insane.

I guess both our DD's have amnesia when it comes to the clothes on their floor. Mine 'forgets" too

We're moving to Florida at the end of the year. We've always wanted to and have finally saved up a nice cushion to do it.

You are so behind because you've been working like crazy, taking care of the family and dealing with a DH who decided to play a know-it-all.
