lighttech, it sounds like you are taking all the right steps for now. I know you won't be able to nap whenever you want with having both boys but when you are home, at least veg out on the couch.

MSP, I know sometimes when I try to upload my own avatar, even if the dimensions are ok, the size of the pictures is still too big for the dis. It has something to do with the bytes of the picture. It can only be 3.9 kb or something like that. To see what size the picture is, right click on the picture and click on properties in the drop down box. That way will show you all the sizes on the picture. If it's too big, you can google for a picture resizer and edit it that way, resave and try again.

Tell them you are not nuts because if you are, I am too. I did the same thing the first time I finally figured it out. Took me forever too. Now I keep a separate folder in photobucket just for my avatar pictures. I get in these moods sometimes where I like to change them often.

Hello friends and belated Happy New Year! I've been MIA in 2009 thus far, I've been cursed with a horrible GI bug that really has taken its toll on me. The best solution thus far has been to lie as still as possible and try to convince my intestines that I'm already dead. So I've been in a TV-induced coma the last few days hoping to get better. I'm not out of the woods yet, but I can sit up today without incident.

I have to go back and read the last few pages...I'll be back!

I didn't get my car yesterday. I've given up. I'll never see it again.

I've never bought tires, just getting new windshield wipers stresses me out. I tried to change my own blades once and ended up cracking the windshield. Luckily, my insurance covers a new windshield a year. I now go to an automotive place that changes the blades for you. I can't imagine having to choose where and what kind of tires to get.

Yeah, the exchange rate in the Phils makes things so much sweeter. I'm able to do things over there that I could never afford here. But Wendy, you'd never have to rent a hotel room in the Phils--you can stay at my house anytime!

Long but GREAT! I love reading it! I was in DL in 1985 but just for a day. I'd planned to take the kids this past summer but their behavior did not warrant it. So, maybe next year sometime? If I do go, I'll be FULL of questions, believe me!

But, I'm not sure if a longer illness like that would qualify for Short Term Disability. I have to remember to take one thing at a time here... trying to do too much is what probably got me into trouble in the first place.

I think anything over 2 weeks qualifies for short term disability. So mono would fit that.

Today I went shopping for new workout clothes. My older pants are literally falling off me! I ended up getting stuff at Target again. Size L this time! I got 2 jackets--one hot pink, one a bright blue. (hey, I like bright colors!) I got black pants with a hot pink waist, a black and hot pink racerback tank, and a black and hot pink racerback sports bra to go with the hot pink one. For the blue, I got black pants, a black racerback sports bra, and a black and bright blue racerback tank. Haven't tried them on yet, but since they are the size below what I have now, and according to the size charts I'm a Large (12-14), they should fit fine. Might post a photo later...

Has anyone noticed that it's staying light a good bit later lately? Almost 5pm and still not dark. That gives me hope that Spring IS coming...eventually!
