quickie good morning friends before I start to really panic. There is just SO MUCH to do before my trip tomorrow. And, of course, its supposed to be gorgeous outside today so I'll want to loll around the yard rather than doing what I'm supposed to! Will try to stop by later today, hopefully successful with all my errands!

For my racer friends, I saw this on a truck yesterday, and it made me laugh and think of you: "I'm not speeding, I'm qualifying".

For the others, I was in traffic yesterday and the car in front of me had this: "Why worry? God is in charge". It totally changed my mood.

Have I told you this? My ridiculously cheap flight will be at a cost to my sanity tomorrow. Its my own Amazing Race. I fly from here to Philly, from Philly to Charlotte, Charlotte to Orlando. Please say a little prayer for me! I'll try to standby for two direct flights from Philly to Orlando, we'll have to see!

Big hugs to all my friends out there. Enjoy the weekend, your family and friends, and be safe and happy. See ya later!

Don't panic! We all know the best way to get things done is last minute. And if you get some work done I'll let you loll around the yard for an hour.;)

Those stickers are funny!

Don't forget your running shoes for your flights. :goodvibes

Got a WDW question for ya'll...
How many of you use TGM? Do you really do the complete ride to ride itinerary? I find a lot of the information very useful but I just cannot imagine printing out a minute by minute schedule to go by. Is WDW gonna be that complicated or will we be able to have a good time and get anything done without a complete laid out plan?

I did use TGM for our last trip. I did NOT follow his touring plan ride by ride, or even close. I DID use his guidelines for best park days, which I found to be worth the price of the whole membership! He was spot on, which really helped during a busy week.

I agree with the idea that if you are going for 2 weeks, you can take a MUCH more leisurely pace and still see everything you want to see. Basically, you can do everything there is to do in every park with about 2 days per park (ok, maybe 3 for EPCOT if you want to really see ALL the countries). And unless you are set on seeing every show, or it is a really really busy time, you can probably do all of AK in a day, or a day and a half at most. So you've got more than enough time to see and do it all.

Ahhhh, 9:30 am and already 60 degrees out! Headed for 70 today and mid 80s for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Sheer heaven!!!!! Bring on the capris!

MK, have a WONDERFUL trip with your girls!!! I don't envy your flight pattern, but maybe you'll get lucky and make the standby for the direct flight.

Good morning everyone!!!! It's already beautiful here. I already have the windows open. Time to clean out the house....maybe.

Magikitty, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that you can get on a direct flight from Philly. And if I don't catch you before you leave, have a wonderful and great trip.

marie, I've used TGM before. I wouldn't use his complete daily schedule. It's just too much planning, ya know. I do follow his ride schedule for the mornings. You can get most of the headliners done in the morning following his recommendations. That will leave you your afternoons and evenings free to do what you want. His plans really do work and his best days are always spot on. If you have any more specific questions, feel free to pm me.

Pikester, isn't this weather great. They are saying close to 90 here on Sunday. :yay:

Grrr...I just went to checkin online for my flight and since its more than 24 hours, I can't do it yet! I want to do it now before I forget. I also checked my seats and my flights seem to be fairly open, so I'm hoping its a slow travel day in general. I do have about 2 hours between flights, and I am wearing sneakers, so we'll just have to see!

I am loving the idea of this weather! Every morning the weather guy is always like, "good weather for today, although a frosty start for our northwestern neighbours"--meaning me! I want to wash the car inside and out today, hopefully I'll be able to do it this afternoon sometime. No open windows yet, but I have aspirations.

marie, I completely agree with everyone. You're going to have enough time to take a leisurely pace and really enjoy and then go back again for seconds. Although it is fun to plan!

I'll be the one to complain...It's going to be too darn hot for spring! Upper 60's and lower 70's is what I want!

With that said, it sure is beautiful out...dogwoods getting their buds open...maybe out by the end of the weekend with this warm weather. If the sun weren't out, I would go back to bed. I got up at 5:20 and went to breakfast and then to exercise...I'm tired!

Marie---my philosophy is KISS-Keep It Simple Stupid! You have lots of time. Don't kill yourself trying to do a whole park in 1 day...especially if it's hot. Get fast passes first thing--especially for Toy Story. If you go to DHS more than once, you'll want to do it again. At MK, Fantasyland gets crowded later. I didn't get to do Winnie and Peter Pan in the afternoon.

MagiKitty: Good luck on the flights.

I do like Charlotte's airport and the people movers. I had to walk fast on those my last trip. Don't forget to look for the smoke from the fires in Myrtle Beach. You are more organized than you think...I'm sure you'll have loll time.

Racer: I think you need a missing Sukie sign...

MagiKitty Good luck with your flights. Remember you're going to Disney..have fun. :)
mariezp Haven't done TGM but have looked at touring guides for ideas. DON'T plan for every minute...will drive you crazy. :crazy2: Just remember the popular rides need to be ridden early as the lines back up (don't forget fastpass).
Well we had our own drama here yesterday. Police killed a man as he was attempting to abduct a 4yo boy. :scared1: Don't know much else. He was tasered first and still fought so no big loss to me. I'm sure someone will will take offense to having this low life shot.

Glad they killed the creep. It saves society from paying for a trial. I'm sorry (NOT!) but anyone who does that sort of thing is not human, and therefore deserves to die.

Climbing down from my mama-bear soap box now...

The policeman probably has to go on leave so it can be investigated to make sure it was his only defense. There's got to be a video of it somewhere on the net. I'm sure someone had their little cell phone out taping it. I say Justice is served! The 'bad guys' have too many rights.

Have a great weekend everyone...get that tan started...

Ahhh...enjoying the 80s today.

Not that I've had any time to sit out or anything. Been baking my DS6 birthday cake, cleaning the house and watching as the guy came to clean our septic tank.

Ooooh weee... had to close the windows during that one.

Hi 54us: Same old complaints...DIS is slow, people are snarley. Living In the Castle and MagiKitty are meeting up at DW. Hershey meet is weekend of July 18-19. That date was chosen because D&D is coming east to get her US map more colored in!
:lmao::thumbsup2

Wow...now there's drama in NM too. I'm sure the family of this guy will come out of the woodwork and whine. :sad2:

Good evening ladies! I actually wore my flip-flops today and I don't do that unless it's warm. We got to 69 degrees today and it's suppose to hit 80 for the next 4 days!
D&DD: I actually felt like I was in an

today. A neighborhood kid (age 6) was here at my house playing with DS8 and the kid needed to use the bathroom. He was in there for quite awhile so I had DS8 go check on him. DS came back and told me that the poor little guy had totally plugged up my toilet and had also pooped his pants, alot! I went to see if he was alright but the kid told me that he had pood in his pants but had rinsed it out (I guess that is why I heard the faucet running:eek:) and had put the undies back on. I told him that maybe he should go home and change but he told me that the undies would dry. The whole time he is talking with me I'm noticing the ball of poop in my garbadge can and the little mound on the floor, poo all over the toilet seat and a little smudge in my sink! After getting my cleaner, paper towels, plastic shopping bag, rubber gloves and gagging 5 to 6 times I was ready to clean the mess up. My DS11 came to see what was going on and he said it reminded him of the scene in Daddy Daycare when Eddie Murphy's character is looking at the bathroom after a kid had an accident in the there. Eddie is looking at the floor and even at the ceiling with a look of disgust on his face.

:scared1:OMG Pikester...you win the prize for most disgusting day!!!:crazy2:
At least my poop was nicely contained before it was cleaned up.
Gotta love those 6 year olds.

Ok, I decide to check in here and what do I get. A poo story!! :scared1::rotfl2:

We haven't had any accidents here lately....knock on wood.

Hello to everyone, royalty and mere subjects!!!! :lmao:
Been a busy day with work and trying to get clothes together for our trip.
Magikitty--Can't wait to meet you and I hope you have a wonderful trip.
In other news we have decided to leave a little early. We were going to leave on the 30th at 5am, but now we are probably leaving about 2pm on the 29th, going to try and get there before the rest of the group and just kinda look around.

Oh my goodness Pikester!!! At least when I had to go through something like that , it was from my own child! UGH!!! You win the prize for Mom of the YEAR!!!

Since we are on the subject...I seem to have some sort of weird intestinal thing. I can't seem to go 1/2 hour without the bathroom! I'm here, all dressed and ready for the gym, and not sure I'm going to be able to get there--I have a thing about "doing my business" in a public place, especially when it's "sensitive business" like this! YIKES!

Hmmm, wonder if I have what Jay Leno had...

What a beautiful day it is here today! It's 11:05AM and 71 degrees!:woohoo:

The kids have been outside for most of the morning with the other neighborhood kids chasing each other around with water guns. They all seem to be having a good time.

whgrn: I hope you feel better. What did you eat yesterday?

I'm off to enjoy the day!

Afternoon!!!!! What a perfect beautiful day!!! Unfortunately, DH has to work the entire weekend. He didn't have a day off at all this week. I know I complained about him not getting enough hours but working 7 days stinks too.

LITC WOOHOO!! You get to leave even earlier for you vacation. How's work going?

Pikester, it was 70 degrees here too this morning.

Lady Wendy, I hope you are feeling better soon. If it is something you ate, I think you need to have good long talk with your cook. :rotfl:

whgrn: I hope you feel better. What did you eat yesterday?
!

Lady Wendy, I hope you are feeling better soon. If it is something you ate, I think you need to have good long talk with your cook. :rotfl:

:lmao::lmao::lmao:OK, I will speak to DD about her menu! :rotfl2: Seriously, what did I eat? Ummmm, do I HAVE to tell you? Chocolate chip cookies, brownies, chicken sandwich, chicken pot pie for dinner, a banana, banana bread, chocolate... Well, at least it seems better now--made it to the gym, and haven't needed the potty for over 3 hours now!!:cool1:

Have to share a funny with y'all. DEx has the kids today, so he brought DD to her swim lesson at 11. I was at the gym, and when I finished I went in to the pool to see her and talk to the swim instructor. Ran into the ex, wife #3, and DS on their way out and my way in. When I went to talk to the teacher, she remembered me and knew I was DD's mom. So she paused, and then asked, "Oh, were those YOUR parents?":lmao::lmao::lmao:She thought the ex and his wife were MY parents!!! I know I look younger than 48, and #3 looks ALOT older than 54, but still... I got a good chuckle out of that one!

So, it is now almost 1 pm, and it is just over 80 degrees. Our forecast for the next 4 days is 85, 88, 83, 83. I do believe I can handle that!

BTW, I'm wearing SHORTS!

Pikester Having to clean up after someone else's 6 y o. :scared1:
whgrn Glad you're feeling better. Makes you feel good to think you look a lot better than #3. It's 82 here and I'm in shorts also. :cool2:
D&DDisney I was just mentioning to DH that I planned to have our septic tank emptied. I'm waiting until winter when it's cold and odors aren't so strong. :rolleyes1
We decided we're going to have to call the well people..we lost water pressure again when DH tried to water our front yard. We pulled out the tent trailer to check it out. At least everything seems ok with it. Now we decided to bring our bikes with us on our trip. I haven't used mine in almost 10 years. Took it to the bicycle repair place..hope it doesn't cost too much. DH has decided it would be cheaper for him to just buy another bicycle at Walmart. His was a cheap one to begin with but mine is a nice one, just wish it had shocks.
