Hello TKers!
I'm jealous of your nice day Magikitty. It's 50 here but cloudy so no sun; it feels cool and damp out. I've been trying to get my rear in gear and get some chores done. Tomorrow is DS7's (Will be 8 tomorrow!) birthday party and we are having 4 kids come so far. I'm still waiting on 2 parents to call and confirm with a Yes or No but who knows if they ever will. Don't they know what RSVP means? The term R.S.V.P. comes from the French expression "répondez s'il vous plaît", meaning "Please respond". If R.S.V.P. is written on an invitation it means the invited guest must tell the host whether or not they plan to attend the party. It does not mean to respond only if you're coming, and it does not mean respond only if you're not coming (the expression "regrets only" is reserved for that instance). It means the host needs a definite head count for the planned event, and needs it by the date specified on the invitation. Just a little clarification for anyone who didn't know what RSVP meant.
Magikitty: I am getting so excited for you! Just thinking about Disney World makes me happy.
LITC: I'm also getting excited for you too! We drove last year from NH and it wasn't bad. It sure beat paying the price for 4 plane tickets. We will be driving again when we go in November but have added in more stop overs so DH isn't so tired from driving. I am not the greatest driver so I was to freaked to help out.
BKMETV: I've always wanted a basketball hoop out in the driveway. Unfortunatly our driveway is at an incline so no hoop out there. We live on a dead end street so we could potentially have one at the edge of the road but the road hasn't been paved in a while and is all bumpy, not great for bouncing. I hope to come up with something someday.
D&D: So how is the lawn work going? Going to the zoo sounds so cool!
racetrack: Where are you girl? You weren't around last night. I hope all is well.
DL55: So where did you eat? Was it good?
Just had to share a "shake your head" moment with you all. My cousin is helping out at a bake sale for her kids school so they can raise money for a field trip. She asked a few family members (me, my Mom, our Aunt, out Grandmother) if we would help out by baking something to sell. We all said sure. She asked us to drop the items off this morning between 8:30AM and 9:00AM at the bake sale location as the sale was starting at 9AM. I was at the location by 8:50AM and not a sole was around othe then my Mom (The sale was being held at a Shaws supermarket). We decided to wait in her car until my cousin showed up. About 5 minutes later my Aunt shows up with her goodies. No cousin still. I left my stuff with my Mom as my husband needed to be some where so I needed to get home. I called my Mom later and she said that me cousin never showed until 9:20Am!
Not only that but no Thank you or nothing. I guess she was to busy arguing with the other woman who had shown up to help about where the table was going and such. Nothing like being organized!
Have a good day!

Drives me nuts. Sorry your weather isn't better. We had 70s again today and sunny. Supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow, then get cold. I am sorry... but I declare winter officially OVER!!!!! We put all our winter stuff away and brought down the garden and patio stuff.

I'm such a "lightweight" these days! Pregnancy and nursing will do that to you I suppose. I rarely have a drink anymore.
The weather inspired me to try to get my dog washed today. Now, my baby is a Rottie mix, about 130 pounds at last count. And he HATES to get washed. Today's ploy: get into my swimsuit and get into the shower with him. Well, that didn't work! Pretty much destroyed the bathroom with all the pleading and pushing. Once in there, I closed the door on us and he was trapped. (too bad he's not smart to realize its just plexiglass). Pushing and pulling him, I got my foot caught under the door and have a pretty good gash. But its all worth it with my sweet smelling pooch (he does happen to like the doggie cologne).
