Wow D&D, didn't realize about the RAD. That's the worst. I know quite a few people whose kids have it and it is no picnic. Many have had to be instituionalized, sent away to special programs, etc. My DS definitely has attachment disorder, but not full-blown RAD, thank God. I think his subconscious mindset is just "I am a horrible, awful person, and eventually they will find out and get rid of me, so I'll just be really bad and they'll send me away now." He truly doesn't get what a great kid he is, when he isn't letting all the issues get in the way. I dont' drink at all, but I do take 2 different antidepressants every day!

So very sad about Natasha Richardson. Really a freak accident. I feel just awful for Liam and the kids.

Happy birthday to the niece--I forget whose it was, LITC??? And MK, hope your BF survives surrogent-parenthood!! I remember when we watched my niece for a weekend. She was not quite 2 and VERY spoiled, and I had my hands full. Little did I know, it was foreshadowing for my "real life" with my own kids!!

Love the new "outhouse". Redecorating is so much fun!

Hey Race, yes ER is on tomorrow night, not sure if they are bringing anyone back tomorrow--I think possibly Abby Lockhart. And it is supposed to be Neela's last episode.

DH will complain that he doesn't want to watch it but then he will watch it more closely than I do. Goofy man.

Mine does that kind of thing too. Or I'll find some show that I really like and he hates it. At least until it's canceled and he finds the reruns on Nick or something. Then it is the best show ever and he "can't believe we never watched it before" Yeah, honey, I did watch it but you thought it was dumb.

I have all my hotel reservations and the Universal tickets. There really isn't anything else to plan for. Universal doesn't do ADR's like Disney. For the really popular places, the "experts" say you only have to made dinner reservations about a day ahead of time. We have front of the line passes for the parks so I don't even have to plan out our days.

It feels really weird since I tend to over plan our Disney vacations. Now I have nothing to do.

I haven't been to the U parks since I was in high school and in fact there was only 1 then. Maybe I should have you plan my days, There has been so much going on I can't seem to get up the energy to plan my trip!

Even thought it's weird not to be planning, it's kinds nice too. No stress, ya know.

Just pick your park days and go with the flow. Yeah, easier said than done.

I've sure been missing in action and missing out on all the action around here lately! I know everyone has probably gone for the evening but I am just gonna ramble here while I have the chance.

I just gotta share my news! We finally decided on our dates for WDW, December 2-16. I've been watching airfare bounce up and down for the past few weeks. This week I lucked out and purchased out tickets for HALF PRICE of what they have been up to just by flying out on Wednesday instead of on the weekend! So.... since i saved so much on our flight I went ahead and booked the house I had found that everyone fell in love with. See.... we are on the calendar! What do you think of our house? It's even named after us!

I am so glad to have this part done. Now I just need to book a rental car and a little later get our tickets. In the meantime, I can get started planning all the fun stuff! Yippee! Even DS-18 is excited! We sat down together yesterday and toured the rides online. He is in awe of how huge WDW is and all the stuff we will have to do. DD-8 is just impressed that we are going to have our own private pool! So.... now I need all the WDW tips you experts have to offer! And also, here are a few really important questions I came up with....tell me... do they have churros, fruit and yogurt parfaits and chocolate covered strawberries in WDW like they do in DL? Where do I find them?


It seems like someone in my family has been sick for the last 3 or 4 months but finally everyone in our house is well all at the same time! I hope some of the rest of you are getting all better too.

whgrn, I loved your post about counting your blessings. What a sweet post! I know how you feel. There are many days when I thank the good Lord for how good he is to me!
I hope the situation with your DD and the older guy has been somewhat resolved. My DD is 8 now but I sure am not looking forward to when she starts getting interested in boys! Heck, what am I talking about... right now she already has her future husband picked out. At least for now I can just laugh it off but when she is 13 like your daughter I will have to start panicking myself!

D&DDisney, here's a hug for you. Dealing with kids can be so trying sometimes. I pray you find a way to reach your son and find a way to help him deal better with his issues.
