I just stopped and looked at my avatar and realize I joined these boards over FOUR YEARS ago and just booked our first trip a couple of weeks ago.

Way back when, I was pregnant with DD3 and living on the other side of the country. Geez Louise! How things have changed... and for the better! That's entirely too long to torture myself with the details of planning and not being able to go, lol.

I just joined these boards, but the DH and I have been trying to do this honeymoon for almost 2 years now. I have WDW books on my shelf from 2008 and 2009...but I confess that I'll be buying a couple for 2010. To be perfectly honest, I have a couple of books from back in 2003, which was when I first thought of planning a WDW trip, but that was before the DH :rolleyes1

After all these years of planning, I can hardly believe it's finally happening this December!

Living in the Pacific NW we had always gone to Disneyland. My husband got an idea of going to WDW after reading about it when we were on our Disneyland vacation one year. I decided that I would give in and go once so he would get this Disney thing out of his system. That was 15 years and, we think, 15 trips to WDW ago. Needless to say after our first trip we were addicted.

Hi there, I have been planning my trip with the DGF for about 2 years now. Started back in 2008 then the company I worked for closed up shop early last year and we had to postpone.

But it's finally happening and we leave in 6 days for what I hope will be a spectacular 11 day trip. We're trying to do the whole circuit, WDW, USO/IOA, Seaworld, Aquatica etc...

This is gonna be one looooog week at work :)

My DS is 21/2 before he was born I had said we are taking him to WDW when he is three. I thought that would be the perfect age...he would understand what is going on he may not remember it all when he is older but its a magical age. I had told my parents when he was born we are going in April of 2011 when he is three...and we want them to go with us! :) THEN earlier this year I learned kids are free under three so I had to rethink things...its such a savings that we decided to change our dates to Sep 2 2010 we have free dining and DS is free. He will turn 3 in Jan..I wanted to get as close to three as I could cause the older he is the more fun we will all have. I'v told him we are going and he talks about it all the time I can't wait to go in only 23 days!!! It will be my DH DS my parents and my sister! I know its going to be a magical trip!!!

I hope this is us, 15 years from now. :thumbsup2

We've been trying to go for the last five years and every year something has come up.. the a/c breaks, a car breaks, pipes in the front yard break... But we leave the day after tomorrow!

I hope I didn't just jinx it.

Did not take us any "friggin'" years :sad2: but after first registering here in early '99, we went in late '99.

I actually found the Dis about 3 years after our first trip and have never been the same since. :goodvibes
