I'm not going to WDW until Saturday but I'm leaving tomorrow afternoon for a business trip to Atlanta and will not return home until Thursday night. So I'm getting clothes ready for both trips now. I still have to go into work on Friday to finish some things (like my expense account ) so I feel I only have 1 day left!
I leave on Saturday (I can say that now because it's technically Sunday), and I am not at all packed. I don't even own a pair of shorts that fits. Luckily, I have Monday off (though I'm working Sunday), so I should be able to get quite a bit done. And what do I care? I'm going to Disney World in 5 days!
Ummmmmmm, What? You mean you are supposed to pack before the night before you leave? I have never heard of this strange ritual.
I'm known for packing the night before a trip, including doing laundry...gives me something to do...there is no way I could start packing five days before a trip, besides being know for packing the night before, I am also known as an
"overpacker", if I started thinking about it and packing five days before a trip I'd end up packing and re-packing 10 times and probably wind up with three suitcases.
Don't stress about it. You'll get it done. I only start 1, maybe 2, days before as well. Think of it this way....you aren't going to let your family roam WDW naked so it'll get done! lol
We are leaving in exactly 26 hours and I still have two loads of laundry to finish before I can pack. We've only known about this trip since early April, and since everything has been last-minute, I'd really hate to start feeling ahead of things now.
Too funny! Does having the clothes and bags out count as packing? If so I've been packing all week! Tomorrow is the big day where I attempt to actually have the clothes inside the bags. For the first time most of the laundry is done - only because we have a new washer/dryer and I had fun trying it out last week.
We leave Tuesday night and I've had the suitcases out and partially packed for several days. What's funny about this is that I store most of my Disney clothes at my DD's Florida townhome (she's a WDW CM) so I really shouldn't need to pack much of anything--yet I do. Part of the excitement is packing and praying that you haven't forgotten anything essential--like sneakers!! LOL!!
