Our last two trips to WDW were pretty filled mostly with going to parks. There is SO MUCH MORE I want to do at WDW. I could spend a couple of days just exploring the resorts. And there is so much to do at FW.

Anybody else every do this?

I was also thinking of staying at a moderate resort this time. I've always stayed at the CR or WL, but after my last experience at the WL, I'm wondering if it worth the money anymore. :confused3

Anyway, I am just tossing this idea around. :rolleyes1

I wouldn't be able to not do the parks at all. The temptation would just be too much. We have gone for a week and only did 3 days in the parks. A lot more relaxing. However, being Orlando and no parks-- nope I wouldn't be able to handle it.

we have done something similiar, we went only into the parks to have dinner.....but the rest of our time we enjoyed relaxing at the resort.

We honestly have to go to at least one park per day while we are there. It would kill me not to be able to go to a park while on the resort!

Tanya & I have done it once or twice. Being annual passholders and living only 2 hours away, we go so frequently that when we go "on vacation", and if it's just us, we'll only hang in the resort and do other disney things besides themeparks.

I don't think I could go to NO parks. We have been there & not gone to a park every day, but I dont think I could not do a park at all.

Especially now with DS.

I don't think I could not go to the parks at all. I could go 1/2 day and then relax, resort hop, swim, explore FW. Have fun on what ever you decide. ::MinnieMo

We wouldnt be able to visit WDW and not go to the parks so I dont have a suggestion. We like to do other things too like resort hop, downtown disney and stuff but we usually incorporate those activities in between parks.
Enjoy your trip!

We were thinking about doing the same thing in the summer this year, but I couldn't imagine going to Walt Disney World and not riding one ride! It would just groan on me that a few miles away is one of my favorite rides that I could be riding right this min.! LOL! :goodvibes

OK maybe just the Magic Kingdom.....yeah, that's it, just one park..... :teeth:

When I go in August I split my stay to include 5 days at AKL concierge for R&R, spa treatments, etc. Well I enjoy the pool, facials and daily massages, but after going out to dinner I'm ready for some fireworks! This year, we decided to finally visit the outlets and see what's up. We'll see................

We only live 2 hours from WDW so it was no big deal to drive up for a long weekend during the summer. We stayed at CBR for 3 days and didn't go to any parks. Just hung out by the pool, toured the resorts, and went to DTD. It was a great, relaxing trip. I would definitely do it again.

We were there on vacation for 12 days and only did 4 days in the parks. Most of the time, we were out lounging by the pool, drinking frozen drinks at AKL. I don't think that I would stay at a Mod if we weren't going to the parks. Deluxe's give you so much more of a vacation resort feel. You can sleep in, get room service, go to the spa, etc.

I planned our anniversary trip without parks except Discovery Cove, but now I have added a park day to see Soarin, have lunch at Teppanyaki and then finish the day at MK. We will be there for 6 days, so, we will still have a 4 park free days. We are staying at AKL and we want to enjoy the resort and relax. :goodvibes

We did this a few years back at BC. We stayed at the SAB pool all day and dressed for dinner and went to PI and DTD at night. 4 days with no passes into the parks and we were happy as clams. We also drank a lot.

Sorry, can't imagine not going to a park.....

Even though Disney is my favorite vacation destination and we go at least every other year and I love resort hopping, etc. on my trips, there is no way I would not visit at least 3 of the 4 parks while I am there. If we want to have a vacation to just totally relax and do nothing, we choose to visit other vacation destinations, like Bermuda, Aruba, Key West... There is just so much out there to experience and enjoy.

We live too far away from WDW and just have to visit parks when we are there.

I didn't mean totally relax and do nothing. :flower: I meant do all the things I never get to do because we are always in the parks. (Not that I don't LOVE LOVE LOVE the parks - I do!)

But I want to explore FW. Go to that campfire and movie I haven't been to in 20 years. Spend more time on the lakes. See the boardwalk. Explore the other resorts. Go to the water parks. I've never even seen the mini golf courses! :earboy2:

Finally got Mom convinced to go to Orlando with DD and I. So I wanted to stay on Disney property cause I knew she would be impressed. We only had 4 days and 3 nights with free passes to SeaWorld. :goodvibes

I called WDW to check on rooms since it was last minute and they said I had a pin code attached to my name and we got AKL for $124 a night, but I went ahead and upgraded us to Savanah view for $160. We had the best most relaxing time! :goodvibes

We ate at Boma and relaxed by the pool at AKL. Loved viewing the animals on the safari everyday. We rode the monorail and took the boat across the lake to MK. Ate at Ohana one night and sat out on the beach at the Poly and watched the castle change color. :cloud9: We even caught some of the fireworks as we were headed back on the monorail. We took one night and did Downtown Disney. It was all perfect! We did rent a car one day and go to Sea World, but did no Disney parks. So Mom got a view of MK and Epcot and now I think I have her convinced to come down for atleast a few days with us next May when I bring all the kids. It was nothing like she thought!

I admit it would have been fun to go to atleast one,but I tell ya it was kind of nice to just enjoy the resort and relax. So I say go for it! I just told myself that we will be back!! :cool1:

Matter a fact 7 days next May with Neice,Nephew and DD...I will get my fill of parks that week! :rotfl:
