Hi- I purchased an "All Three Parks Four Day Super Pass" in 1996. I was told that it had no expiration, good forever. I don't know if I understood this right, but that is what I was told.

I only used 2 days of the 4 day pass. Nowhere on the ticket does it have "rule" to the life of the ticket. It just says nontransferable, nonrefundable, admission to any of the 3 parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot & Disney-MGM Studio- during regular operating hours), transportation to the parks, & use of ticket at any 3 parks on any day + re-entrance to any of the parks on the same day.

I feel so dumb asking this- Do you think I can still use this ticket for the remaining 2 days?

No where does it say that it must be used within a certain amout of days following the day the ticket was first used.

TIA!

I never heard of that particular ticket before, but I'm guessing you will be able to use it, but you will have to go to Guest Relations to exchange it for a current type of ticket.

Okay, thanks, great idea! It's like 5" x 2" blue cardboard ticket w/ places to hole punch out the days used so far. It had to be signed by you & they checked you I.D. to the signature when you wenk to use it.

Cheshire Figment has a sticky about tickets, and he talks about old (pre-MYW) tickets... bottom line is yes, they will still be good. Vicki is right, you'll need to see Guest Services to get them swapped out for a current ticket.

I had some of those tickets and had a leftover day that I was able to use a couple of years ago. You will need to go to Guest Services and they will take care of a usable ticket for you!

Perfect you guys! Thanks so much! This solves it & has helped me very much.

BTW, what is Cheshire Figment?

The disboard name of a poster who works in ticketing at Disney and often comes along and answers these questions. He also is the author of a "sticky" at the top of the boards on tickets.

I once had some tickets that were pretty old (though not quite that old), and yes, they were still good. As others have said, I had to switch them out at guest services first. Do this in your hotel lobby; we didn't realize that we had to, and we did it at the entrance to AK, which delayed our entrance by a little bit.

I have a couple of old tickets too. Can I add additional days to them?

No, they can't be upgraded.

Dealing With Tickets Issued Prior to 2 January 2005 (Pre-MYW)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Almost all tickets issued prior to 2005 (other than Length of Stay, Bounce Back, or Annual Passes) had no expiration. This includes both the major park entries and the minor park plus options. One exception is the World Hopper; for this ticket all WPF&M entries expired seven days from first use, although the major park entries remained valid.

At the current time any prior passes are valid at all four of the major parks, even if one or more of the parks did not exist when the ticket was issued. A Park Hopper Plus, which was issued during the time that Disney Quest was open did not include Disney Quest as an entry; accordingly, the Park Hopper Plus still cannot be used for entry to Disney Quest.

If a prior ticket, unused or partially used, was not on stock with a magnetic stripe, or the magnetic stripe was demagnetized, you can get the tickets replaced at no charge at any park (including water parks or TTC) ticket booth or Guest Relations Office. Note that this cannot be done at Resort Lobby Concierge locations as they do not have full access to the ticketing computer.

No pre-MYW ticket can be modified or upgraded in any manner.

If you have unused pre-MYW tickets you can use the original Disney selling price of one ticket as a credit to the purchase price of any current ticket with a selling price equal to or higher than the value of the old ticket. However, it probably will make more economic sense to use the ticket for entries. This will depend a lot on what the determined dollar value is.

Note that if the ticket was purchased from a discounter/broker the value given is what Disney sold the ticket for to the discounter/broker and not what you paid for it.

If you have a partially used pre-MYW ticket it cannot be upgraded, but the remaining entitlements can be used. If the ticket has become demagnetized, as long as the serial number string is readable a replacement ticket, with the same remaining entitlements, can be issued.

They should still be good.

The caveat MIGHT be: Only at Epcot, DHS, and MK (not AK). We had old, non-expiry tickets that predated AK....and that was what we were told at Guest Relations when we traded them in. Basically, they were park hoppers for any park except AK (which was fine with us...we had other tickets to cover the rest of our stay). I've heard, from others, this is NOT supposed to be the case anymore (if it ever was..though it's what we were told, we never did test it out)...so your mileage may vary.

We had old passes that predated AK and it did not prevent us from going there at all. It was an old child pass that had two days left on it that they upgraded to an adult two day hopper for free (which was perfect because my brother was only going to be there for two days)

I have some old tickets with unused water park options. I'm thinking of taking them down with me this trip to see if they are still any good; probably not but they were from the early '90s.

Unused?

Maybe that was the difference?

They're not supposed to let you upgrade passes that have been used, at least once...and ours had been (we'd used 4 of the 6 days on them).

Also...this was awhile back. The passes, themselves, were from 1996. We used them in 2005.

Again, that's what we were TOLD. Doesn't mean it was true, either. We never tried to use them at the AK gate..so they very well could have worked.

1. Even if there were only three or even two of the Theme Parks available at the time of issuance, the old passes are now valid for all four theme parks.

2. If you have a ticket with unused River County admission, it can be exchanged for BB or TL one day tickets at any water park ticket or Guest Relations window.

Good to know!

Thanks for the clarification.

It had been a 4 day pass that we used two of them on. They took the two day child pass and turned it into a two day adult pass for no charge. They said they do that all the time.

OP, just wanted to let you know that everyone who has the old ticket has to go to guest relations with an ID. Or at least that is what we had to do.
