Four Brits hit the world the TR! ***Finished***

Oooooo, Jo, now that you are finished can we use your space to pimp our threads? :dance3: I heart pimping!

I am sad it's over but can't wait to hear about the December holiday!!!! :goodvibes

I know we are but the mug was a CSR one with Pepper Market written all over it!
You should have bought the YOMD mugs. They're universal (ack! I said the "U" word).

He got a bottle of whiskey I think and some sweeties, everything he wanted they didn't have :sad2:
I guess he was thinking of Santa now eh?

OK here's one I just did but it's not up to your standards!

coronadomap.jpg
I guess that doesn't look as bad as the maps I've seen. It seemed like it would be a very long walk from end to end. Are you fast walkers?

I know I was being daft and I hope you get there again soon DM
You and your daftness ... ;) ... thanks! :goodvibes

Awww DM you nearly made me cry that is so sweet and yes I hope we meet one day soon too
And that was my goal for the day ... make Jo cry tears of Joy. Gosh, I'm sure cute. :cutie:

Hi,Jo. I hate that I didn't get to read along as this came to an end but I am all caught up now.:goodvibes I did have to use the links and missed the chit chat but it was awesome.THe Dismeets, last rides and everything else seemed to work out perfectly.Except poor David and the elusive hat.:sad2: There is so much I would love to comment on but I have to spend a few minutes with the kids before going to work.
Thanks for reading Amy

BTW,Rachel read the updates with me(that does count as storytime ,right?) and she says your girls look so nice and wants to have a sleepover with them.:goodvibes
Of course it counts as story time and she's so cute :goodvibes

Oooooo, Jo, now that you are finished can we use your space to pimp our threads? :dance3: I heart pimping!
Ummm no ;) :rotfl2:

I am sad it's over but can't wait to hear about the December holiday!!!! :goodvibes
You got me there Jenny, December trip????
Thanks for reading Jenny  and I hope it was the right balance of words and pictures for you  :rotfl2:

You should have bought the YOMD mugs. They're universal (ack! I said the "U" word).
They only sold the PM ones :sad2:

I guess he was thinking of Santa now eh?
Probably :rotfl2:

I guess that doesn't look as bad as the maps I've seen. It seemed like it would be a very long walk from end to end. Are you fast walkers?
What do you reckon :rotfl2: We were able to walk from our room to the PM in about 7 minutes, the quiet pool in under 1 min and the bus stop in about 2 to 3 minutes so pretty good!

You and your daftness ... ;) ... thanks! :goodvibes
Thing is DM the more I know you like my weird words the more I use them :rotfl2:

And that was my goal for the day ... make Jo cry tears of Joy. Gosh, I'm sure cute. :cutie:
:rotfl2:

I'm finally getting caught up!

He purposely put people the furthest cars away from each other  Oh well it didn’t matter we had loads of fun as usual although you can’t be silly when there are others in the car can you :rotfl2:

Why would they do that? :confused3

and sure you can still be silly with others in the car - just think that you'll never see these people again

DisneyJo said:
Today’s ride was slightly different though as we all noticed the smells were a bit off, the pine forest smelt of orange and visa versa

:rotfl2:

DisneyJo said:
After lots of browsing we bought Oliver a lovely cuddly Mickey Mouse and a MM plate and cutlery set.

That's sweet :goodvibes

DisneyJo said:
I treated myself to 2 fridge magnets, yep I pushed the boat out didn’t I? :rotfl2:

Yes, but you'll be reminded of your trip everytime you go to the fridge ;)

DisneyJo said:
The time had come to leave Epcot for the final time, but honestly there were no tears, I really think having the 2 weeks there and knowing we will definitely be back stops you from being upset, or maybe I’m just hard and have no feelings :rotfl:

I think it's knowing that you'll be back

DisneyJo said:
Well it didn’t stop there, the man moved to the pool, he was still dressed in normal shorts not swim ones and didn’t have a towel, he stood right on the edge of the pool backwards and did a back flip

:rotfl2: I guess he was hot.

DisneyJo said:
I only went up one flight of stairs instead of 2, I wondered why my key wouldn’t work :rotfl2:

Ip-Dip <--- Buzz made me post this :teeth:

DisneyJo said:
the girls were asked if they’d like to be princesses for the day, they got to write a note to their favourite princess and got stickers and a cardboard crown :)

That's nice! :thumbsup2

Today is going home day

:(

DisneyJo said:
we or should I say I did most of the packing yesterday and it sure was a struggle,

I'm lucky - my girls won't let me pack their suitcase

DisneyJo said:
Next time we take 2 extra bags

It's surprising how fast you can fill up one suitcase with keepsakes ;)

D-Jo said:
except David who decided to nip to DTD to see if they had his cap yet, ummmm no they didn’t!!!!!!!!

Awww.

Mum decided to show her how to do it, you’ve never seen legs flailing all over the place in all your life it was so funny, well me being non-competitive had to do my handstand and ummm got to about 40 seconds, she wasn’t impressed

:rotfl:

D-Jo said:
We went and had our final Disney meal and as we had a couple of CS credits left I asked the CM if we could have some rice crispy treats instead, well she gave me 9

That's awesome! :wizard: :thumbsup2
I bet most people never think to ask that.

D-Jo said:
left our refillable mugs on top of a garbage can, we didn’t have room for them in our luggage, wouldn’t use them at home and knew we wouldn’t return to use them again!!!!

Oh no. That's too bad :guilty:

D-Jo said:
CSR is a very beautiful resort and not as big as I was expecting, we were one of the furthest away but were still within a 5 minute walk of the main building.

5 minute walk = Gud ::yes::

D-Jo said:
Saying all that we did enjoy our stay there but personally we preferred POR where we’re staying next year!

Woohoo :woohoo:
Make sure you request a building that's close to everything :headache:

D-Jo said:
This was an amazing holiday; I was worried the magic would be less as it was our second trip (yes I know it was my 6th so I should have known that it wouldn’t!!!!) but I think it was actually more, phew :rotfl2:

All the planning paid off and we rarely waited in any queues, we really learnt how to play the FP system, always making sure we got a new FP before we used the current one, also many times we used them late and the CM’s always told us we could!

To actually meet up with people I’d chatted to on the DIS was fantastic it was like meeting long lost friends rather than brand new ones. Our meets were great fun and I can’t wait to do it all again next year and meet even more of you. :goodvibes

Even though we were there for 2 weeks and packed loads in we still missed so much, some on purpose some not, we never did get to see the HSM show or the GMR and I still think there’s loads more to explore in WS oh and I’m sure we could have gotten another ride on TT to make it up to 15 rides :rotfl2:

When we got home we decided to go back in 2 years time and to do a cheaper holiday summer 2008 well a few weeks later David told me to book WDW :yay: I didn’t need asking twice so we’re staying at POR from 14th to 28th August with free dining again :yay: And the big DIS meet is already arranged for the weekend around the 24th, WDW had better watch out :rotfl:

I'm glad to hear it was just as magical!

The planning is very important. I feel sorry for non DIS people :sad2:

You were so lucky with all your DIS meets :goodvibes

Yahooty on going back again next year!!!! :woohoo:

We'll probably be there around the end of August too. I'd love to have a DIS meet

Thanks for sharing your journey with us. I really enjoyed your trip report and look forward to your next one!!!! :wizard:

and sure you can still be silly with others in the car - just think that you'll never see these people again
That's true :rotfl2:

Yes, but you'll be reminded of your trip everytime you go to the fridge ;)
:goodvibes

I think it's knowing that you'll be back
It probably is, plus we'd done so much in two weeks!

I guess he was hot.
He must have been :rotfl2:

Ip-Dip <--- Buzz made me post this :teeth:
Yeah sure :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Buzz needs to man up and do his own posting:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:
::yes:: :rotfl2:

What a nice way to end your trip :goodvibes
It was nice and the girls love to swim

That's awesome! :wizard: :thumbsup2
I bet most people never think to ask that.
We were eating crispy treats for weeks, those things are huge :rotfl2:

Make sure you request a building that's close to everything :headache:
I will don't worry :thumbsup2

You were so lucky with all your DIS meets :goodvibes
I met so many great people it was wonderful :goodvibes

We'll probably be there around the end of August too. I'd love to have a DIS meet
Oh wow I didn't know that!!! We're having a big meet around the 24th when do you get there?

Thanks for sharing your journey with us. I really enjoyed your trip report and look forward to your next one!!!! :wizard:
Awww thanks for reading and all your replies

Isn't the Christmas reveal a surprise trip? :confused3 Am I mixing up my threads again? :scared:

:thumbsup2 It was the prefect blend of photos and words. You done good! :goodvibes

Oh wow I didn't know that!!! We're having a big meet around the 24th when do you get there?

I don't have any dates yet since I haven't booked but it will definately be during the free dining :yay:

Isn't the Christmas reveal a surprise trip? :confused3 Am I mixing up my threads again? :scared:
The surprise is a trip but it's the one in August, I think we're confusing each other :rotfl2:

:thumbsup2 It was the prefect blend of photos and words. You done good! :goodvibes
Thanks

I don't have any dates yet since I haven't booked but it will definately be during the free dining :yay:
That's normally about the 26th/27th we leave the 28th so it's possible :thumbsup2

Jo, I have heard that the CM's gather up the abandoned mugs, clean them really well and resell them. That was awfully nice of you to try to recycle them and I hope some family found them before they were snatched up by the CM's. :thumbsup2

Gee, I thought I was the only one who mixed up threads. Heck, I cannot keep track of all the people either. How do folks do it?? Hints, I need hints. I have one lady that I kept running into and I did not write down her name cause she is a major DISer and we pm and everything and when I got home and went to write my report I had all the names of folks I did not know well written down and cannot remember who the one lady was!! I can see her face and remember her stories but not her name!! I am ashamed.

What??? You're DONE??? :faint: My calendar only says November 30?!?!!?!?

Uh oh...David's going to have to get a second job soon...Jess looks TOO good behind the wheel!!:drive: You're going to have to buy her something sporty...and expensive!!

I treated myself to 2 fridge magnets, yep I pushed the boat out didn’t I?

You're a wild woman!!!

The time had come to leave Epcot for the final time, but honestly there were no tears...maybe I’m just hard and have no feelings

:rolleyes1 Maybe it's a British thing....

He then flipped over into the crab position and stayed like that for ages  David and I just kept looking at each other trying not to laugh too much.

OMG - I wish you had pictures of this!!!

We were pretty early arriving so tried again for the GMR but once again the queue was just way too long, we obviously weren’t meant to ride it this trip!

Somehow I don't think you've missed much...this one needs a SERIOUS rehab as much as I enjoy it...

So what to do, what to do? Oh why don’t we just do a bit more browsing, as we wandered, buying a few golfing bits,

Did YOU guys buy $60 golf balls too???:confused3

A little while later S’Late her DH and children turn up and we get shown to our table which was for 9 :yay: They’d managed to sit us all together :thumbsup2
700.jpg

YAY!! I'm so glad you all managed to get seated together!! That worked out well!!

Us adults hadn’t finished all our meals (well they were huge) so when our waitress saw she fed us...David was first and she even made the choo choo noises

688.jpg

Hmmmm....are you sure she wasn't flirting...doing something funny with that spoon???:lmao:

That's a great shot!! I may have to bring Tony and Michael there!! Maybe Michael would eat his veggies for a pretty waitress???

During the meal S’Late’s DD and Ellie became firm friends she even gave Ell’s a bracelet, which I think she’d made, poor old Jess got stuck with the boys though and I think she thought they were a bit too silly for her, boys hey, hope she stays that way for a while yet :rotfl2:

Glad the girls became friends...and laughing at you talking about Jess...dating will be here before you know it....:rolleyes1

I think we were a bit of a disappointment to S’Late’s DH as we weren’t into Star Trek and Monty Python but we found other things to chat about!

702.jpg

Awww...what a great picture! How nice to spend the last day!!!

:grouphug:

I didn't know that Linda I purposely put the mugs on top of the bin just incase someone didn't mind second habd ones and could make use of them :thumbsup2 Oh and I forget names and what I heard where all the time so no tips :rotfl2:

What??? You're DONE??? :faint: My calendar only says November 30?!?!!?!?
I know I did it before December :faint: :rotfl2:

Uh oh...David's going to have to get a second job soon...Jess looks TOO good behind the wheel!!:drive: You're going to have to buy her something sporty...and expensive!!
Uh no I'm having the sports car first :rotfl2:

You're a wild woman!!!
I know how did I contain myself? :rotfl2:

OMG - I wish you had pictures of this!!!
Me too he really was hilarious!!!!

Did YOU guys buy $60 golf balls too???:confused3
No :rotfl2: Just a few markers with MM on :rotfl2:

Hmmmm....are you sure she wasn't flirting...doing something funny with that spoon???:lmao:
OMG LL you're so right ;) :rotfl2:

That's a great shot!! I may have to bring Tony and Michael there!! Maybe Michael would eat his veggies for a pretty waitress???
I doubt it :rotfl2:

Glad the girls became friends...and laughing at you talking about Jess...dating will be here before you know it....:rolleyes1
No no no don't say the D word :faint:

Last edited by Lauralee131 : Today at 01:15 AM. Reason: How come you didn't do handstands during our pool day???? :-)
I will for you next year, you'd better start practising too :rotfl2:

Thanks for reading and your lovely replies LL and also of course for being part of my trip LY/MI

Today is going home day, we or should I say I did most of the packing yesterday and it sure was a struggle, we had an extra case with us and I really didn’t think we’d bought that much but we only just fitted it all in  Next time we take 2 extra bags

We had to purchase another dang suitcase to leave!

We weren’t catching the ME till about 1.30pm but with a long flight ahead of us really didn’t want to go to a park and get all hot and sticky again. Mousekeeping had allowed us to have our room till 12pm so we went swimming, well except David who decided to nip to DTD to see if they had his cap yet, ummmm no they didn’t!!!!!!!!

Wishfull thinking. :rotfl2:

The girls and I had a lovely swim I the quiet pool and for about an hour had the pool to ourselves :cloud9:

710.jpg

Great pix. Gotta love those pools!

Whilst the girls were doing this, it did go on for a while, a lady and her DD were also swimming and the Mum said for her DD to try, she was about the age of my 2 but bless her just couldn’t get her legs up so her Mum decided to show her how to do it, you’ve never seen legs flailing all over the place in all your life it was so funny, well me being non-competitive had to do my handstand and ummm got to about 40 seconds, she wasn’t impressed

OMG! That woulda been funny to see! :rotfl2:

It got to about 11.30am and we decided we’d better go get showered and pack the last few things before calling to get our bags taken down.

Kind of pushing the time limit aren't you.

We went and had our final Disney meal and as we had a couple of CS credits left I asked the CM if we could have some rice crispy treats instead, well she gave me 9  they totally filled my bag up and I daren’t show David :rotfl2: We used our final few SC’s in the shop on some chips and cookies and :faint: left our refillable mugs on top of a garbage can, we didn’t have room for them in our luggage, wouldn’t use them at home and knew we wouldn’t return to use them again!!!!

Oh boy! You should have figured out how to get those home. We always use ours.

We still had a while before our bus so we found a nice bench near the convention centre, sat the girls on the carpet and played go fish, lots of people smiled at us as they went past, they either thought aww cute or weird English people :lmao:

The latter. :rolleyes1

Pretty uneventful trip home, we spent several hours at MCO playing more cards and browsing the shops. Our plane on the way home was called Jersey Girl and poor old David didn’t have a working TV neither did the 3 people the other side of me and all they got was £25 ($50) worth of duty free :headache: He wasn’t too bothered though and we arrived back to Gatwick near enough on time. Our taxi was there to meet us and we were soon home!!!!

Awww, home sweet home.

Thoughts on CSR.

Thanks for the info. We hear so little about CSR. It sure looks nice.

This was an amazing holiday; I was worried the magic would be less as it was our second trip (yes I know it was my 6th so I should have known that it wouldn’t!!!!) but I think it was actually more, phew :rotfl2:

I've got my 16th trip coming this week with my sister and I still get excited.

All the planning paid off and we rarely waited in any queues, we really learnt how to play the FP system, always making sure we got a new FP before we used the current one, also many times we used them late and the CM’s always told us we could!

Nice! :thumbsup2

POR is where I'll be later next week. Maybe I'll do another Trippy with my sis.

Thanks Jo. It's been great getting to know you. Make sure you stick around the boards. Never know what you might learn.

Jo, I can honestly tell you, and anyone else, that each and every Disney trip is different and unique. Our last one was all about the free food, this one is all about the Christmas decorations and shows. No matter how long we stay we have never been bored.

I am so sorry you do not have any tips for me on remembering folks. I am always embarrassed when someone remembers stuff about me and I cannot remember all about them. If I can sit and talk to a person face to face for a bit they are stuck in my mind but otherwise I get all messed up. I found one autograph from a DISer that I chat with on line all the time but did not realize it was HER at the time. She probably thinks I am a stuck up jerk instead of a senile broad. :)

Montana Disney Fan, look around when you go to the food court at POR as we go over there for the Muffalettas and beignets at least once a trip. If the weather allows we like to sit outside and enjoy the ambiance of the place. We have stayed there several times in the past.

SG/Linda

What you finished this when I wasn't looking! It was wonderful to read along and see the World through your eyes!

I'm sorry to see it end, but it just means it is that much closer to we meet in person. I am really looking forward to meeting you, David and your beautiful girls next August.

So um when you are linking us up with your pre-trippie!

Nice pics Jo!

All this time I thought Jess moved seats because my DS9 scared her. :confused3

I'm so behind on reading the TR's I subscribed to, I'm so glad I've caught up on yours. I so enjoyed reading your report! I loved your pics and what a great dismeet, it looked like a fun night out with the girls! I'm glad you had such a great trip! :) Linda

Hey Jo! I'm getting caught back up on your TR.

Well eventually it started and I needed a few tissues, so did David but shhhhh I didn’t tell you that :rotfl2:

Shame on you – telling David’s secrets. :rotfl:

Today was another BB day, our third of the trip we love the water parks, after waiting a while for the bus we were there by 8.10am and it was empty, what a difference a week makes and the fact lots of the US kids have gone back to school :thumbsup2

Yes and if you would have stayed a few more days, it would have been even less crowded AND you would have bumped into ME!!! I also think that David would have liked Mr Diz and me much better than the Lapu girls. Just my humble opinion.

So we go almost all the way around the lazy river and decide it’s about time for another raft ride, DH was having a few problems with a contact lens, us and eyes hey :rotfl2: He thought he’d lost it but found it again, in his eye!!!!!
:lmao: At least he realized he “lost” it right away and not 4 hours later.

OMG - the GOLF STORY is HILARIOUS!!!!!!!! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT.
