Four Brits hit the world the TR! ***Finished***

Great update. CR I do not think is on my list anytime soon. So many mixed reviews.

Great shot of Illuminations.

Hi Jo! Sorry I've been MIA for a couple of days. I haven't been feeling well, so I am behind on all my threads. I think I have over 40 messages of new posts on different TRs I read! Yikes!
I just wanted to say "hi" and tell you I'm getting caught up.
I'm glad to hear you thought CR was worth going to for the fview at least. It's on my list to go to, and I've been getting nervous lately with the bad reports!

Well, I read this earlier and got distracted by something--so I'm doing it again!

--robots--we've never done this. BA did something about making paper last time tho and she thought hat was cool.
--Did u have a good Soarin' ride?? I wish they would let you stay on twice (hey--that would be a good prize!)
--did you eat the mince burgers at POR?

Oh--and BA thought it was funny that Ellie asked her if she got the Disney channel! She said "that's all I watch!"
(even more so with satellite--cause she gets the east and west coast versions!)
They both like Hannah Montana too.

Ok--so how do you get VIP seating? Last time we were near Japan which DH loved--but the smoke blew in my face so I coughed the whole time. Need a better spot.

Hmmm, still not going to CR anytime soon. ;) Glad the view went well, and I know you and T both said that the steaks were good, but...

I think you can be excused from using your Soarin' FPs since you'd been on 3 times already that day!

Sorry about the VIP viewing issues.

Sounds like another great day!
We really did like the CR, it's on our list for next year but I think it's for the view more than anything else! How many people can say they turned down the chance of a fourth time on Soarin in a busy time :rotfl2:

nice update!!! we're making ADRs for Coral Reef today...HOPEFULLY!!! We want to go Feb 25th and when we were there in May we booked our ADRs 90 days out and Feb 25 is more than 90 days out so I'm hoping we will be good to go w/that one. My brother will turn 21 on March 3rd so I'm hoping I can get a divers sign cuz when we were there in May I had one for my parents anniversary and CR surprised me w/a special college graduation sign (i forgot i mentioned that in my email to debbi!!) so my brother felt left out so this will be his turn hopefully!! my aunt uncle and cousins might be coming along w/us so I might do a sign or menus for them for their first CR trip!!
I hope you get it, the divers are so much fun :goodvibes

Hi,Jo!:goodvibes

You got to sit next to the tanks!Thta would have made our meal there much better.I agree about the kids' meals there.Rae had the pizza which was very good but apples for dessert?

Well,Soarin' isn't my favorite ride so three times would have been plenty for me.

Yay:yay: Ellie for getting all her princess pins!:yay:

Thta is awful about the VIP siiting.:confused3 But at least you still had a good view and not crowded. This is my least favorite nighttime show, and I agree boring in spots.

Loved the pictures.Your girls never seem to get tired of having their picture taken.:thumbsup2
Thanks Amy, our tank view was the best and yeah what is up with the kids meals?

Ellie was so happy to complete her pin collection and phew someone who agrees about the boring parts of illuminations :rotfl2:

Oh NO! We were sitting on the benches by the restrooms. They would have been behind you and a little to right if you were facing the lagoon. I CANNOT believe we were that close:headache:

I have been procticing my :cool2: stalking so you all need to be prepared in August!
Oh no Janet, I can't believe you were that close, I stood looking for you for ages, definitely next year

Soaring is my favorite ride cause I take both of our tickets and get two FP's, hand them to dh and sit myself down. I usually find someone interesting to talk to and I get rid of His Majesty for nearly an hour or so. Togetherness is greatly overated. :lmao:
:rotfl2: DH is scared of heights but loves Soarin maybe you should give it a go!!!

WHy can't they improve the ffod at CR, mom looked at the menus from Deb's site yesterday and she wants to eat there that Friday in February (remember it's Lent and noe meat on Friday's) Oh well, at least we are in Disney, right.

HMM, gave up Soarin', don't think I could do that, well unless a certain southern belle showed up;)

That's too bad how they handle the VIP seating and you and Janey were sooo close.

I too am practicing my stalking, so watch out Dis'sers.
The food wasn't that bad but in the August heat you don't want to eat much anyway. Southern Belle  You mean you don't want a comentator on Soarin every time???? :rotfl2:And yeah the VIP seating thing sucked, we still ended up with really good seats but we could have been warned!

I'm glad that you had a good time at CR, I am always reading such mixed reviews of it.

Those Kaki Gori's look very yummy!

I love the Illuminations photo you posted, very beautiful, and how special that you were able to sit in the VIP section.
Thanks Lessa, the girls really loved the Kaki Gori's but I think Jess would have prefered a one flavour one!

Great update. CR I do not think is on my list anytime soon. So many mixed reviews.

Great shot of Illuminations.
Honestly it wasn't that bad, to be honest I think the restaurants are all much of a muchness, except LeC which was :faint:

Hi HS, I've wondered where you've been, hope you're feeling better now  I think your kids would love CR and hey it's educational :rotfl2:

We did enjoy the robots but I don't think AE would like it, bit babyish. Yeah Soarin twice would be a great prize :rotfl2: Mince burgers? We didn't go to POR this time TE!

All Ellie watches is Disney Channel too :rotfl2:

Ok--so how do you get VIP seating? Last time we were near Japan which DH loved--but the smoke blew in my face so I coughed the whole time. Need a better spot.
Can you remember that I had Teppanyaki booked and they had to change my ADR to 50's? Well to say sorry they gave us VIP seats. But I noticed that on my booking for next year as I've booked direct with Disney I get VIP tickets to each night time show :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: Mince burgers? We didn't go to POR this time TE!
Doh! I'm getting your past and future trips mixed up! (and I've got POR on the brain!)

And didn't you say ground beef was called mince???
so I figured they would be mince burgers!

Ah yes! I remember now! :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: Yes we do call it mince but not mince burgers :rotfl2: either ham or beef burgers like you do!

Noooooooo! You can't go to Coral Reef and not have the lobster bisque and chocolate wave!!! I know it was August, and soup was probably the last thing you wanted, but it's SO good! At least you got a table by the tank. I agree, the food isn't the best on property, but we do love that restaurant. (It's one of Brenna's favorites - she loves sitting by the tank. :cloud9: )

I'm sorry about the Illuminations viewing area. Yes, it's crazy in that area. We had to deal with that twice last December. It doesn't help that they wait till the last possible minute to let people up there! :sad2:

Waitin' for more! popcorn::
-Michelle

I am not perfectly sure ,but believe I am, that mince, originally, was the tiny bits of meat left over on a carcass after the wealthy folks got done eating. Bits of brain, suet and a tad bit of bone anyone? The current incarnation of mince is mostly a fruit concoction that looks as disgusting, to me.

Jo, it is because of my hearing loss that I am unable to have my feet off the ground. I have no sense of balance. I cannot even sit in a recliner. I can barely manage Peter Pan. :cool1:

Nothing sadder than two DISers passing by and not knowing it. Not many pass ME by though. I am a character. I know it and show it!!:lmao:

Back to work for me. I have loads of yardwork to do before I head to the Community Center and tomorrow I will be far too busy to deal with you all as I have a meeting to go to and they are gonna honor me. They must be in desperate straits. Bet that means I havta wear darned shoes. I hate formal events.

Slightly Goofy

us girls all got Strawberry daiquiris
WOW, no wonder the girls look so happy! :rotfl:

I would definitely eat here again just for the view, I know we had a great table and I probably wouldn’t think the same if I was at the back.
I keep wanting to go to CR just for dessert, but with my luck, I'll get one of the lousy back seats and it won't be worth the hassle. :sad1:

We always have to look at the Steiff bears as the girls each have the limited edition one from the year they were born, DH and I have the 2000 one and I was given a really old one which is still in mint condition when I was a baby :thumbsup2
Ah, another Steiff lover! I kept asking and asking, but never got one as a child. And I keep meaning to get Leo a special one, and keep forgetting. Someday

We still had a great view but I must say it isn’t my favourite show, the fireworks are great but the bit with the ball just goes on for too long and gets *gasp* boring!!!!
Know what? I'm totally with you on that. I love, love, LOVE fireworks - music is a bonus, but I don't want anything else interfering with the pyrotechnics.

i called yesterday about a divers sign and no one answered of course but i left a msg saying our date and i wanted a sign for my brothers 21st bday and left the number and name so hopefully they call back sometime this week before my brother comes home for the weekend lol.

Hey Jo,
I'm glad you enjoyed CR. We ate there several years ago and I was disappointed, but it was my own fault. I don't like salmon, and I got a sandwich that had several types of fish in it and one of them was salmon. I figured odds were in my favor and I'd like it okay, but the taste of the salmon was too overwhelming. My own doing. Our waiter, however, was so creepy that my oldest son, who was maybe 6, STILL talks about him. I think he was the source of nightmares for months :confused3

It's great that Ellie got all of her pins. It's amazing how happy a set of pins can make a kid:thumbsup2

Hey Jo I am finally caught up again:rotfl2:
Glad to hear Jess got all her pins for her princess collection.
I have always wanted to try eating at CR as it looks so nice sitting next to the tank. (i think it would keep the kids busy enough that I could actually eat). Unfortunately for us with food allergies it is a NO go:sad2: . Glad to hear you enjoyed it.
That stinks about those people getting better seats at Ilum, at least you had some breathing room.
We never did the robots, we must give it a try.

:rotfl2: Sorry Michelle I don't like Lobster, I know  :rotfl2: I was too full for the Chocolate wave too!!! With the illumination seats I would have just of liked to be forewarned, next time I'll be ready at the rope :rotfl2:

I'm sure no DISers get past you Linda :rotfl2: That's great about the award, have a nice day!

WOW, no wonder the girls look so happy! :rotfl:

Ummmm V they were virgin daiquaris :rotfl2: The girls Steiffs are in there special boxes on top of the wardrobe, no playong with those bears :rotfl2: Glad you agree with Illuminations :goodvibes

OMG your DS still talks about the waiter, he must have been scary!!!! Ellie was thrilled with her pins, goodness knowswhat she'll want to collect next trip!!!

Hey Jo I am finally caught up again:rotfl2:

Hi T, it's a pity that you can't go to CR but really it's the view that's the best bit not the food so you're not really missing out. I'm sure your kids would love building the robots, just be prepared they're much bigger than you imagine!!!

Hey Jo,

Enjoying your trippie. I love manatees and ocean animals in general. Illuminations is my family's favorite but I prefer Wishes...

Sounds like you guys had a good time at CR.... I have heard quite alot bad... good to see someone had a good time :)
