Four Brits hit the world the TR! ***Finished***

Yes! It does :cool1: and that is why we should all meet up there in 2009!
Just give me the date. You know I'll be there! :thumbsup2

Mo, when are you planning to come to Cali?

Me too, we had loads of towel animals and several funny things at POR in 05 but that was it this year :confused3 It really doesn't take much to do and I would imagine it's fun to do :goodvibes

I'm such a suckup to Jo. :flower3:
Yes you are :rotfl2: LY DM

Better late than never!!

I've got a lot of catching up to do.

We rode Nemo about 5 times also last week. It was "walk on" every time although the queue is ridiculously long. :sad2:

It's a cute attraction. We use it to burn off time while waiting to go on Soarin' with Fast Passes.

We also do Figment to kill time but this attraction needs some serious updating.

Welcome Buzz, I used to love figment when I was little, I agree it needs an update!!!

Jo,so what did ya think of CR??

popcorn::
It was good, thanks for asking :rotfl2: I was going to try and update today but got side tracked by catching up on my subbed threads, oh and starting 2 more TR's, why do I not learn :sad2:

See you tomorrow, night night :wave2:

Hey there, Jo!

Just wanted to say I got all caught up again on Friday and now forgot what I was going to say?! :confused3

Your photopass pics turned out great! And I love the shot of the girls in front of the ball at Epcot! So cute! And of course the TT photos!

So fun that you got to have a little surprise first meeting with Tracy! HI, TRACY! :wave2:

We also noticed that our stuffed animals had been "busy" while we were out for the day! So much cuter than a towel animal IMHO.

Keep up the good work! I'll just be right here.... popcorn::

Hi Melinda, I'm terrible with TR's by the time I've finished reading I've completely forgotton what I wanted to say :rotfl2:

It was great meeting T and the fact that I stalked her and not the other way around :rotfl:

I agree it's so much fun to find the teddys doing funstuff :goodvibes

CR coming right up!

After about a 10 minute wait at Coral Reef we’re seated, we have an awesome table right by the tank :yay: We were allowed to have speciality drinks here on the DDP so us girls all got Strawberry daiquiris whilst David got a coke  It did come in useful later on when the girls shared his free refills as there are no refills on the special drinks :rotfl2:

Food wise Ellie had no starter followed by the grilled chicken, her reaction :scared: then the ice cream sundae, she would have so preferred the pizza but as the dessert was apple slices and she really wanted ice cream, chicken it was! Why on earth can’t they mix the meals? Oh well next trip she’ll be an adult anyway!!!!

Jess and I both had Caesar salad, way too big and too much dressing, followed by steak which was good. David had the crab claws followed by the shrimp pasta both which he said were OK, good but not great!

Dessert was Ice cream for Jess, as always a success, Crème Brule for me and Cheesecake for Dave, both us enjoyed our desserts, again not superb but nice. We’re so easy to please :lmao:

Throughout our meal we saw so many fish, I know we should have done we were under the sea!!!! A friendly Ray sat next to us for most of our meal and the turtle (DH’s favourite) swam past several times. Loads of divers went past and they were hilarious, blowing kisses, asking how our food was, waving etc. One was even throwing stuff in the air like confetti :rotfl:

I would definitely eat here again just for the view, I know we had a great table and I probably wouldn’t think the same if I was at the back. Here are a few photos, sorry they’re a bit dark!

Tummies now full we head on out and the plan was to use our Soarin FP’s but :faint: we were just too full to go on it :faint: I know we had the much coveted Soarin FP’s and we didn’t use them, but we had already ridden it 3 times that day!!!!! We decide to have a relaxing walk around WS before going to our VIP Illumination seats at about 8.30pm. We stopped and browsed in a shop and Ellie discovered that the princess pins she was trading for were a CM set of 5 pins and she had just found her 4th one :yay: We hit the Mexico ride, much better IMHO, wandered around Germany, tried to convince the girls that the Haribo gummy bears were not a good SC as we could buy them cheaply at home, eventually I won!!!! We always have to look at the Steiff bears as the girls each have the limited edition one from the year they were born, DH and I have the 2000 one and I was given a really old one which is still in mint condition when I was a baby :thumbsup2 We never buy anything though, just like to look, nothing to do with the price you know :rotfl2:

In USA Ellie completed her set of Princess pins, she was so happy and so was David as he found a shirt for $7 :lmao: The girls had been dying to try a kaki Gori so Ellie got a strawberry one and Jess the Rainbow. Here they are, I think the sunset must have been reflecting off the ball?

As we wandered past France I spotted Lisa and her family in the distance sitting at a table by the water I shouted Hi but obviously not loud enough, sorry Lisa I should have come over  We had had enough by now so decided to just go to our seats, well a sloped bit of concrete :rotfl2: The VIP area is right in the centre between Mexico and Canada between 2 shops. It was screened off by lots of trees in pots and you had to show your ticket to enter. We staked our spot and I spent the next 25 minutes near the entrance looking for Janet, but never saw her, Janet where were you????? We had a lovely position near enough central about half way up the slope, we couldn’t understand the people who had gone right to the front next to a low hedge as they weren’t able to see whilst sitting down, well we soon found out. Literally 5 minutes before the fireworks started they opened 2 little side ropes and everyone ran through them to sit even closer to the front. We, and about a third of the other VIP’s, didn’t know about this and we all got a bit mad, it meant that people who had been there the longest no longer had the best seats  They were literally crammed into this front spot so we just stayed where we were, still having a great view but with space too :cloud9: I think this really does need to be managed better, but for future reference if any of you go there you now know go to the front at the sides :rotfl2:

We still had a great view but I must say it isn’t my favourite show, the fireworks are great but the bit with the ball just goes on for too long and gets *gasp* boring!!!!

Once it finished we managed to avoid most of the crowds, caught the first bus home and were back at CSR by 9.40pm. Another busy day!!!!!

Next day here!

Hmmm, still not going to CR anytime soon. ;) Glad the view went well, and I know you and T both said that the steaks were good, but... :rotfl2:

I think you can be excused from using your Soarin' FPs since you'd been on 3 times already that day! :rotfl:

Sorry about the VIP viewing issues. :sad2:

Sounds like another great day! :goodvibes

nice update!!! we're making ADRs for Coral Reef today...HOPEFULLY!!! We want to go Feb 25th and when we were there in May we booked our ADRs 90 days out and Feb 25 is more than 90 days out so I'm hoping we will be good to go w/that one. My brother will turn 21 on March 3rd so I'm hoping I can get a divers sign cuz when we were there in May I had one for my parents anniversary and CR surprised me w/a special college graduation sign (i forgot i mentioned that in my email to debbi!!) so my brother felt left out so this will be his turn hopefully!! my aunt uncle and cousins might be coming along w/us so I might do a sign or menus for them for their first CR trip!!

Hi,Jo!:goodvibes

You got to sit next to the tanks!:woohoo: Thta would have made our meal there much better.I agree about the kids' meals there.Rae had the pizza which was very good but apples for dessert?

Well,Soarin' isn't my favorite ride so three times would have been plenty for me.

Yay:yay: Ellie for getting all her princess pins!:yay:

Thta is awful about the VIP siiting.:confused3 But at least you still had a good view and not crowded. This is my least favorite nighttime show, and I agree boring in spots.

Loved the pictures.Your girls never seem to get tired of having their picture taken.:thumbsup2

Oh NO! We were sitting on the benches by the restrooms. They would have been behind you and a little to right if you were facing the lagoon. I CANNOT believe we were that close:headache:

I have been procticing my :cool2: stalking so you all need to be prepared in August!

TMinnie, some folks are just impossible to please.

Okay, just so I understand. English folks get perturbed while us American savages just get pissed? :confused3

I walked around feeling a tad bit worried about kids just seeing my Focker's lanyard and there is a picture of a child wearing one? WTG, being raised with a warped sense of humor is a sure way to protect a child against the vagarities of life IMO.

The mere 3 towel animals that we got this trip were sad things. So sad I did not even take pictures. I would have been 'pissed' except that our Mousekeeper was new, not only to the job but the country and had other things on her mind. My room was clean and that was enough. Last trip we got so many towel animals that by the end of the trip there was scant room for us to move about in the room.

Soaring is my favorite ride cause I take both of our tickets and get two FP's, hand them to dh and sit myself down. I usually find someone interesting to talk to and I get rid of His Majesty for nearly an hour or so. Togetherness is greatly overated. :lmao:

I am going to work at the local museum today. Not many visitors this time of year so I am taking my Christmas lists with me. I have decided to send cyber cards and make phone calls instead of sending many cards. I mailed 3 cards yesterday and it nearly cost me $3 to mail them. Ridiculous. I would rather just give folks the money. :thumbsup2

Slightly Goofy/Linda

WHy can't they improve the ffod at CR, mom looked at the menus from Deb's site yesterday and she wants to eat there that Friday in February (remember it's Lent and noe meat on Friday's) Oh well, at least we are in Disney, right.

HMM, gave up Soarin', don't think I could do that, well unless a certain southern belle showed up;)

That's too bad how they handle the VIP seating and you and Janey were sooo close.

I too am practicing my stalking, so watch out Dis'sers.

I'm glad that you had a good time at CR, I am always reading such mixed reviews of it.

Those Kaki Gori's look very yummy!

I love the Illuminations photo you posted, very beautiful, and how special that you were able to sit in the VIP section.:goodvibes
