Right I've been pricing up and I think I've found the cheapest way to do it as the packages are all ridiculous!!! So I'm going to buy my flights direct using some miles (they don't get released for about another week or 2 though!) and that comes to about $5000 total, please don't tell me about all of your $30 return flights please Then to get the free DDP it looks best to buy direct with WDWUK now this is where the problem comes in and I need you all to help me choose. All these include 14 day hopper/water tickets and the DDP.........

1) POR $3472
2) AKL $4536
3) WL $5656
4) Swan $5712 no DDP though
and lastly the one I wanted but and it's only a standard room
5) BC $6832

Or does anyone know a better way of booking it????

BTW if I did BC as a package inc flights with Virgin Holidays it comes to over $14,000

HI Jo. Wow $14,000 is alot of $$. Didn't DH ask to stay under $11,00?I would say POR or AKL-more money for stuff. Maybe you should list the pros and cons of each of the resorts?

Yep he did and to be honest I couldn't warrant spending that amount I just really loved the whole Boardwalk area, but we also loved POR when we stayed there, I'm not sure about AKL I just wish it weren't so darn expensive, but don't we all

I love BC, but I think you should consider AKL or WL.

AKL though is far away from everything, but doesn't share buses.

WL, you have the boat to MK and access to the monorail from there. Does WL share buses? (I always rent a car)

Either way girlfriend, I am going to start practicing my stalking skills

The WL is beautiful!I stayed there in July and you would not have known that it was booked up it was that peaceful! It is a great resort and it is really close to the MK. The boat ride is relaxing and scenic or if you want to get there quick you can hop on the bus and be there in under 5. I does not take long to get to the other parks either.

Well, we LOVED AKL but it is not in the middle of the action, if you know what I mean. That was OK with us, and the buses do pretty well. We only had a problem coming back from DTD late one night - it did share there with something, and the line got so big we couldn't all get on the first bus when it finally came... But, that was our only "bad" transportation story.

Dr. Belle and her family adore the WL, and you could feel like you were with Mo on her Western trip.

Hi Jo! I'm still so happy for you - but I know how you're feeling right now. It's the 'Day After' and now the number crunching and REAL planning has begun. I have a question... is a 14 day park hopper less expensive than an AP? Too bad you didn't buy APs on this last trip - you might have been able to overlap the two vacations by a week to save money. We're getting 3 trips out of 1 set of APs. Out of your list of possible resorts... I like AKL and WL. You could always do a split-stay to try out both! Changing resorts isn't that bad... right, V?! Seriously, if you only switch once, then it's like getting two vacations in one. You could always look into renting DVC points and staying in a BWV or BCV if you want to stay in the Epcot area. I bet you could stay in a 1-bedroom villa for much cheaper than the standard room at BC that you were quoted... something to think about...

Well, I'm CHEAP! I'd either stay at POR or AKL. But, again, I'm CHEAP!
But the suggestion to split your stay is a good one...half the time at POR and the other half at BW? That might make it fall within your budget.

Here's the thing about splitting your stay Jo. You'll have to buy 2 packages! Make sure you do the math on that one. I do think though that renting DVC points may be your best bet to stay at BC at least there you can purchase the DDP. Wow, have fun figuring this one out! LY!
