For our cruise next March my cousin has a cat 11. His MIL and maybe his FIL might come along. How comfortable will four adults be in a cat 11. The one bath is something I would not like with 4 adults BUT what about adults sleeping on the sofa and upper bunk. Anyone sail in a cat 11 with four adults? This would be for a 7 day cruise.

Without the split bath, and it being 4 adults I'd reccommend pricing two seperate staterooms, especially if it is a 7 day cruise.

I guess a good question is how well do you get along with your in laws now and do you expect to be friendly afterwards with four adults sharing a small bathroom and limited space after 7 days together? :)
Personally I'd either look at a bigger room or two cabins. The other option is a verandah and give the in laws a pup tent in case it rains out there :)
Cheers,
Grumbo

We are taking my MIL & FIL BUT we have booked them their own cat 11 right next to our 2 cat 11's. I love my in laws but would not want to be in the same room with them for 7 days.

My cousin is the one having this problem. He just got married a few weeks ago. But from what I have been told he gets along great with his inlaws. We have tried to tell them that four adults in the cat 11 will be very crowded. We booked three rooms on our cruise last March and so we got really good rates plus room credits. :bounce: We checked for adding another room and wow what a shock. The don't even show cat 11's open for the 3/20/02 cruise. I can't see myself climbing up to sleep on that top bunk let alone an older adult. I think his inlaws are in their 50's and just don't see either one on the top bunk. My cousin might be pushing the weight limit for the bunk so not sure what they will do.

We have our rooms reserved and are ready to go. We asked these people many times if they would like to go and have said no over and over. It wasn't until we took a three day 2 weeks ago and my cousin talked it up so much that his inlaws want to go in March. We could have booked another room on the ship had they decided sooner. :(

I would not enjoy 4 adults in a cat 11. And no way I'd stay in the same room with my in-laws no matter HOW many bathrooms it had!! :hyper:

We were three adults in a Cat. 11 last December (one of them was my FIL!), and there was just enough room. I don't think I'd want to add a fourth adult!

Are you sure there is a top bunk? I know we didn't have one when we were in a category 9, but we did in our Category 4, which is designed for 5 people. I could be wrong, but I think there would be 2 people on the bed and 2 people sharing the pull out couch, which is small. It sounds like it would be really crowded with 4 adults.

There are some cat 11's that have the pull down berth, but I wouldn't recommend it for an adult. There is a 200 lb weight limit too. I don't know anyone in their 50's that would want to sleep up there. I am with everyone else, two rooms....
