Hello fellow DVC'ers:
I have a question.
Have booked a studio at WLV for first week of September.
My wife's brother, wife, and 5 year old daughter want to stay with us for one night.
I understand that the published number of guests allowed to stay in a studio is 4. Is a 5 year-old in a sleeping bag welcome?
Many thanks for your responses.

The occupancy rules state that 4 + one child under 3. However, that being said DVC and MS do not enforce this policy and will take your reservation.

Now run for your life........

Regardless what advice you may get here, the only answer which matters is from the resort itself, as they would be the ones to enforce any occupancy policies.

You might just want to call the resort and make sure what their policy would be in this case.

Enjoy your trip!

Personally, with one queen size bed and a full size sleep sofa, and only one bathroom, I would not find that very comfortable even for one night for 5 people. Have you considered All Stars for their family of 3 for one night? Good luck with your decision.

I think you'll be OK. Not the most comfortable situation, but I wouldn't do it any other way either. There is not much difference in size between a 3 and a 5 year old. I am sure you will be welcomed home. Have a great Holiday.:smooth:

I'm one of those rule followers......so I'd say no. The studios at VWL are smaller than those at OKW. . Remember there will be people on either side of you, and when the park closes 4 tired adults and 1 5 year old can be loud. But it would depend on the 5 year old, and the noise level of the room. On the flip side,,,,,,don't most rooms at OKW have a pack and play.....can she sleep in it? LOL:bounce:

Along w/ my wife and our two kids (i feel dumb calling them darlings), I'm going to BW the 4th of July week. As luck may have it, my mother in law (who is nice but not a darling) will be in Fla. the end of that week visiting relatives 2 hours away. Someone floated the idea that we all meet, including the Fla. relatives, for a nice dinner. Since they will have a two hour drive back, I called reservations and OKW has a studio that night for only 11 points. They are so happy. So if you have points that you can dig up, you'll have a nice evening while impressing your friends w/ your smart DVC purchase. In my case, I'm looking to dump the kids with my mother in law at the OKW studio while my wife and I enjoy the BWV jacuzzi. I call that a win-win.
